Impressed
Was looking for a warmer replacement for my synthetic skull cap. Impressed with this cap from Rapha. Nicely warm down to 1C (the coldest ride so far this winter), looks good under helmet and in the cafe. Pertex type material on the front helps a little with the wind chill. Like the way you can flip up the sides although not tried that under my helmet yet. Only minor gripe is that the peak wont curve.

Great cap for colder days
I like this cap a lot! Colder rides are much more comfy with it. Thin enough, but warm as well. Wind panel doesn't let any breeze through. Sliding a little over the ears, isn't as snug fitting as it could be. The band under the visor gets a little colder with wind. I wore it in -10 degrees, so it wouldn't probably disturb that much when slightly warmer weather. Other than that, priceless!

Perfect winter hat
This is my new favourite piece of Rapha cycling kit, the high wool content and form-fitting design make for a snug and cosy head - I am reluctant to take it off! I have a large head and it fits me fine.

Great piece of winter kit!
Another great Product from Rapha.
This hat fills the gap for me where the ordinary winter caps are too warm but to just have a summer cap on is to cold and doesn't shield the ears. The windstopper front protects the forhead withoud beeing to bulky and the soft fabric comforts the ears and Wicks sweat off!
Only downside is the limited selection of colours available!

Thin yet very effective
I have a shaved head, so I’m always a little concerned that caps won’t fit right when they’re designed to accommodate hair, however this cap still fit nicely. Even though it is fairly thin it still keeps your head and ears warm and the wind blocking material on the front portion is quite effective. I’ve used in snowing conditions below freezing, and stayed comfortable.

Plastic peak makes a mark
Because of the tight fit, plastic edge of the peak makes a red mark on my forehead. Otherwise its nice, keeps my head warm and looks good.

Love this hat.
Well designed wool hat for winter rides. Fits nicely under a helmet and covers the full head with the ear flaps down. The brim is just the right size. The wool is light weight but provides enough warmth without getting too hot. If the weather warms up the ear flaps come up to compensate. The wind block material on the font adds to the warmth.

Premium price point but bad inspection.
First of all I think it is a well designed product, however from an aesthetic point of view the plastic brim on one side seems to have not been properly cut. It has the appearance of being banged up for the lack of a better term. Whomever inspected it ( F10-34 ) should be more careful. Not sure if the other hats have this same flaw.

Nice materials but odd fit.
Pretty good quality but odd fit. The hat was simultaneously too big which caused it to bunch under the helmet and not long enough to cover my ears completely. I also found the brim to be too wide and stiff which made it uncomfortable with the peak up. I think I have a pretty average, medium sized head for what it’s worth lol.

Perfect solution to cold days
This hat is the perfect solution to cold weather. It is thin enough to fit under my helmet yet windproof . It has profiled ear flaps which work well.
I have struggled with beanies and the Rapha Belgian wooly hat which although good didn’t fit comfortably under a helmet so very very happy with this. Highly recommended.

Very warm cap
Great for really cold rides, keeps my head toastie warm. Peak is stiff and does what it should. Downside is its almost impossibel for me to wear clear lens glasses at the same time but due to the lack of bugs in winter id rather have a warm head. Suitable for really cold rides, I'd say too warm above 3 or 4 degrees...

My first choice cap in the cold
I was worried this hat would be too warm one the temperature got above 0. However it’s not the case. The wool is so breathable that even as the sun comes out and the day warms you can feel the air keeping you cool as well. The side folds up well when you need your ears out and the peak fold up well too. Very versatile

So warm, it's almost too good!
So I was wearing this when cycling in the snow in December/January and it was perfect. If anything it's too good as I've worn it in 2-3 degrees with a feels like temp in the negatives, and honestly I sometimes overheat in it - it's that's warm! Good ear coverage, very soft and snug. A winter essential for sure.

Warm, snug, well-designed.
Warm, cozy, snug headwear for shoulder seasons, fits well over ears and back of the neck. 6’-1” 200lbs daily rider. Sometimes wear it with a balaclava when it’s colder. Perfect for headgear after a long ride to wick sweat and keep warm. Would love to see an extreme cold version for Northeast Coast US winters.

Keeps head and ears warm on cold rides
Great item, very comfortable and really keeps your head warm on cold rides. I like the way you can pull the back/side down to cover the tops of your ears if you feel like it. Not bulky either and fits under a Kask Mojito and a Protone very well with peak not too obtrusive that it gets in the way.

No complaints!
This has been on every ride below 12°C throughout the fall and winter. Easily comfortable to -5°C, and I've even taken it on some short -10°C rides with no problems. Very discreet branding, which is really nice. The ear flaps is a great feature. Packs up small to stash in a pocket or bike bag.

Just right for cooler days
Comfortable for cooler days when thermal headband isn’t quite enough. On cold windy rides at 30deg F I add a thermal headband on top so it’s easy to unlayer once I warm up. Only complaint is it doesn’t quite cover my ears all the way but I like the flip cap to reduce wind or rain in my face

Great Fall-Winter Riding Hat-very versatile
Great cycling hat for late fall-winter. I was looking for a thinner hat to wear under my helmet. You can wear it with either the bill forward or reversed. I found wearing it reversed with the bill up kept cold air from going down my back. Great product well designed and well worth it.

Ear saving cap!
Another piece of clothing that makes it easier to get out on a ‘single figures’ morning.
Pulling the sides of the cap over my ears when it’s been icy cold, and being able to flip them back up again when no longer needed, makes this a great piece of utility wear.
Worth every penny.

Ear toaster
It is a warm hat. It will keep your head and ears warm. Wear it if it is cold outside. Obviously, the quality is amazing. As is the styling. What I really like about it is that it is a low-drag option. Most winter hats feel bulky, yet this does not. And it keeps your dome warm. 一石二鳥

Business in the front, party in the back
This hat layers well under a helmet and has been a key piece of my winter kit. The windblock on the front does a great job cutting the cold and keeping rain off while the rest of the cap breathes and regulates temperature well. It's the perfect cap for chilly rides.

Peaked Merino Hat
I am not much for cycling caps and I usually wear a beanie for my bald head during the cold riding months. I needed an extra piece to put in the rotation and this one works well. Warm enough with ear flaps that fold under when not needed and it keeps me warm.

An excellent piece for your winter arsenal.
This is really an excellent product. Works exactly as advertised. The merino is very soft and quick to try and the wind blocking panel does a great job. My only complaint is that the brim gets a little wavy after washing but seems to straighten out when worn.

Ear coverage
This hat is nice at maybe -5c to 5c. I was hoping to use it at lower temperatures though, say down to -15c. The main issue is eat coverage - it's not quite long enough to cover your ear lobes, and it's a bit loose, so wind gets into your ear canal as well.

Merino for the win!
The perfect hat? Maybe! I’ve worn this through some truly deplorable New England weather and I’m happy to report that my head was never uncomfortable. It’s got that merino magic so it won’t smell like a teenaged hockey player after many hours of use.

Quality
Bought this to give warmth and the peak of a cap to help with winter showers and low sun. It is absolutely perfect for both but it is very warm and on occasions has been too warm. On long winter rides though it has performed exactly as expected.

So comfortable and low profile
I bought this hat a few weeks ago and have been using it almost everyday since for my commute to work. Even in cold and wet conditions the hat keeps the chill off my noggin and ears, no more ice cream headaches from poor wind protection!

Peaked Merino Cap
Lovely cap well made but I had to walk around with a deep line on my forehead from the seam of the cap for the rest of the day! So can not wear for cycling again sadly! Also my head is quite small and therefore the cap is loose .

Merino is the best! & Rapha nailed it with this:)
Perfect cold weather cap. Absolutely love it. Nothing but good things to say about this cap. Covers back/bottom of head nicely, including, fully over ears (if you wish). Front minimal brow is perfect for winter low light.

Confirmed Peaked!
Yes. This is peaked, indeed. And do you know what else is now peaked? My interest in winter cycling. The cold never bothered me anyway, if you know what I mean. Great hat, solid material, fits my watermelon-sized head.
