Awesome look Great!!!
Simple Awesome fit!! Took a morning ride weather was around 63, the material finish is totally great looking (navy blue) they have a shiny finish, and I like flashy looking bibs. Some replies are wickering, well these are feither weight bibs and yes you will sweat? That's why you use these on hot days? Besides real Hill climbers will sweat? more so than flat riders. I am 5'8 175lbs I purchased a LARGE with the short version/ white trim at grippers and they fit GREAT, the pads are in the right location the 2" difference you really can't tell from long ones so you show a very little more leg muscle. Just Simply awesome!!! I will get the Grey ones if they have the same finish as my blue ones just can't say enough! Worth the money for such great quality when it comes to you and your cycling time out on the road. Enjoy!!!!!

Cost savings ?
I am on a cycling holiday and will be sending them back as the binding on the front of the bib has come away. It appears to be only glued on.

W.C. Fields quote or maybe Shakespeare
Bibs fell a part again: fool me once your fault, fool me twice my fault. I did not take a picture this time nor ask for a refund. Just tossed the bibs in the garbage as a reminder. "There's a sucker born every day." Think that a W.C. Fields quote or maybe Shakespeare? Now it's time to unsubscribe.

Poor Quality
Poor quality, this the third replacement pair I’ve had over the past three years and the straps are coming apart already after two months.

A little tight for a tall rider
I love the quality of these shorts and the aesthetic is very nice (as is expected from Rapha). This is the first pair of bib shorts I've bought from Rapha and, being 6'4", found the strap length a bit too short and it leads to a pretty snug (and uncomfortable) fit in the nether-regions (and it actually leaves marks on my shoulders from the pull). I wear size L in most other bib shorts I own without the same issue and from what I understand the size doesn't change the strap length at all from L to XL :-(

The Good, the Bad and the Just the same
Bought for the now passed summer months where my Classics were just a bit too heavy and warm on those lovely sunny afternoons. These wouldn’t be the first bibs that I would choose in any conditions but neither would they be the last. I didn’t get any bunching in the straps as others have said and overall I found them pretty comfortable. The pad is OK but not great which is pretty much a summary of everything. I really like the white trim on the hem but absolutely hate the logo (white on one side, black on the other) but that’s a very subjective measure. The longer your ride, the better these shorts seem to feel which I guess is a positive but there’s always that nagging “not quite right” feeling when you pull them on. The hunt continues.

Disappointed
I have several pairs of Rapha black bibs, the standard model they sell. Those are the best bibs I've ever owned. They have lasted for years. These are not in the same class. After only three or four washes, the trim on the shoulder straps have come loose.

Great indoor warm weather bibs.
Extremely lightweight and work very well for indoor cycling. In many ways the fabric is barely there, but the chamois is as comfortable and substantial as the standard bibs. A couple of concerns: the durability may be less than the standard weight bibs, because the fabric is so thin. This will just be a wait and see issue. Second, I would be very hesitant to wear these IRL on the road because I think ANY contact with the ground or roadside shrubs/trees may tear it. Even the most minor fall may tear these leaving you virtually naked. Regardless, as an indoor, warm temperature bib, they are ideal.

Poor Leg Grippers
Purchased the bibs for the upper mesh design on hot days. I’ve used the bibs a few times with leg warmers (rapha leg warmers) and knee warmers and the warmers slide below the bibs. This was never an issue with the core bibs and its more superior leg gripper. I suppose the hot conditions that the flyweight is intended for would typically not require the use of warmers but it would be good to still have the option without sliding. I can’t comment on how they perform on a hot days yet, but the gripper issue is enough to make me go back to the core line or skip the classic and go for the pro line.

No compression- feel baggy & bunch
Living in a hot & humid environment on the Texas Gulf Coast, I decided to try these after having excellent results with Rapha Core Bibs. The cloth & fit felt wonderful, and I liked the taller cut on the abdomen (I am 1.85m and 91k track rider, so I have more belly than any Rapha models). The issues appeared when I tried to ride, and realized there is no compression. The shorts slid up my legs several inches (that never happened with any other brand, including same sized Rapha Core), bunching at the hips- definitely a noticeable feeling on the ride. While I did not expect the tight fit of a race short, these felt like the threadbare, saggy 10 year old team kit that you only wear on the trainer in the basement over the winter. I even noticed my inner thighs rubbing the post/top tube, which has never happened with other shorts.

Excellent hot weather bibs
Excellent fabric weight in shorts and lightweight mesh bibs for hot, humid Southeast U.S. cycling. Grippers are comfortable but not constricting. Favorite feature is lower cut of bibs on sides than other Rapha shorts which feels less constricting/ clammy in the hottest, most humid conditions. NOTE: run LARGE vs. my other Rapha shorts (Pro Team bibs, Pro Team Lightweight bibs). I had to downsize from Large to Medium.

Awesome Bib
Love Rapha gear.. I'm having trouble finding the right fit. A couple of years ago I putchased a couple of Bibs Large size and found them a little large. I was 30 lbs. heavier than now. Well, after a fifty mile ride I had a sore butt. Then remembering never break in or try a new Bib on s long ride first time out. Then rememberd than I put back 10 pounds last month. I even got the short fit. Have a sunburn to show for that. I'll loose some more pounds and try again on a shorter ride. Oh, I forgot to mention it was 96 degrees here in Florida the day I rode. Great temperature wise..

Good hot rides, leg grips not that good
Bib is very comfortable for riding in particularly hot conditions. The fabric is thin and evaporates sweat easily to avoid having damp clothes. Also the bib fabric is especially comfortable.
The downsize is particularly the leg grips (and also the pad that I found quite thin). The leg grips are thin and do not keep the bib particularly in place especially when compared to other bibs.
Keeping in mind that the main purpose for which I purchased this bib shorts was avoiding heat they are a fairly good option.

Pure comfort
I bought these as the majority of my cycling is hot weather based. I have a pair of three year old Lightweight shorts and needed an additional summer pair as I have an active cycling period coming up.
Initial fit seemed a tiny bit McAllen than the Lightweight, but not overly, pad also seemed denser/thicker but that may be due to wearing down older one.
First ride out I didn’t notice the shorts, there was not bedding in period etc, they just felt very comfortable and performed how I would want them to.
Overall very happy and would purchase again and/or recommend to friends!

Incredibly comfortable - not durable
First - I absolutely love these bib shorts. They are amazingly comfortable, breathable for hot rides, and the chamois is fantastic. After my first ride I would have recommended these to anyone (and wanted to buy 3 more pairs). Unfortunately after only 5 rides, the fabric has started to split running up the shoulder straps. I was very disappointed that for the price of these bibs they didn't hold up to a mere 200 miles... as much as I would like to buy again I worry that these break down.

Good one.but a little sexy
Dry up quick and light and good fits. Since the fabric is too thin, salts from your sweat easily are shown after a long ride. Have a see-through on back side that some one might see the valley of your butt, and thus I do not wear top sweat liner that should be tucked inside the bib as it will be slightly seen and ugly while normal bibs don't.
Wearing this one without sweat liner on top will not be a problem.
Wear it together with flyweight jersey will be a good choice for a hot summer weather.
Good design. Good pads. welded part of the straps are awsome. Very comfortable.

Airy but at a cost
These are certainly light bib shorts, and are nicely built, but have a few notes: Firstly They go a very dark colour when sweat/water touches it - making for some interesting looks when going on long hot rides! The bands are also a bit tight and not very flexible. Overall pretty happy though!

I'm buying more!!!
When received and pulled out of the lovely packaging i was a little apprehensive about a few things on these bibs. I've got other Rapha bibs, the lightweight model, and LOVE them. They are so comfortable and supportive without feeling like you're wearing anything. The Flyweight Bib Shorts are even BETTER. I don't know how they could improve upon the lightweight bibs, but they have. The feel great and look fantastic. The navy color is so slick, sublime! I don't mind the pink accent on the matching navy jersey, but i'd love some monochromatic accents.

Nice bib but a bit short.
Bought this bib a few weeks ago. Read another review complaining about the material of the straps, being itchy. Although for me it is not so much of an issue that I would rate the bib with 2 stars the material is indeed a bit itchy. And for this price you may expect a perfect product, which to me on this issue it isn’t.
Other thing: I have one other Rapha bib and it is the Core, which is around an inch longer. But on the other hand the Flyweight Bib is less tight in width than the Core, causing it to move upwards while riding more than the Core. Those two features combined make that I am working on new tan lines when using the Flyweight Bib. Again, not so much of an issue, but for those who find razorsharp tan lines important good to know;)

Perfect for hot weather
I decided to buy these in preparation for a trip to southern Spain. So glad I did - they were perfect for the weather. It was still hot obviously, but riding in these bibs made things far more comfortable. The pad is great, the finish is nice (a little shiny compared to others) and the fit is great (would say they are true to size). Overall I'm very pleased and glad that I got them.

Disappointed
These bibs seemed great when i purchased them. They were comfortable and came with top notch padding. Sadly, after about 5 rides these bibs are already coming apart at the shoulder. I understand that they're a light weight summer bib, I bought them for the Florida summer, but they should hold together for more than 5 rides. Pretty disappointed with these considering the high price.

Best bibs ever
Absolute best bibs I have ever worn. Purchased a pair in the spring and have ridden more than 148 times in them since - on rides from 20-170 miles. Perfectly light weight and the compression feels like you have nothing on except where it counts. ;). After being washed equally as many times they’ve held up great (and I’m a throw it in the wash and dryer kind of guy.)

Great fit and stylish
These fit very well with a great multi density chamois and perfect leg length. (I am 5ft10 and the medium regular length sits just above the knee) I have yet to use them in very warm conditions, but other Cold Black treated garments I own do indeed seem to keep you cooler than regular non treated fabric. Only small gripe is that the straps whilst being breathable are a little scratchy against the skin. Not a problem for me as I wear a wicking base layer in warm weather, but for those who dont (or wont) it might be a consideration.

Design flaw - tapes fail repeatedly.
Great hot weather bib shorts - as long you are prepared to throw the away after the first wear. Tapes on the straps came away after the first wash. Second pair to have same issue. Had assumed it was a one off but no a design and manufacturing flaw. Rapha can’t fix them but offers a $75 replacement voucher. Some comes to one very expensive wear.

Upper section is not comfortable
Nice fit. It really keeps me cool. Only comment is about the upper section of the bib shorts. The material is like lace which is not as soft and comfortable as the old super lightweight version. There was slightly allergy at my back after the first time I wore the shorts.

Comfort, style and durability.
This year rode Lejog wearing these shorts, apart from one rain day and have to say that I had no problems with discomfort. The pad has to be the best and most comfortable on the market and I have tried them all. Just don't put them in the dryer, even by accident.

lean green riding machine
great pair of knicks. Well built, feel awesome and look awesome. Very comfortable on longer rides and in the warmer weather. The only negative is the height of the front mesh on the stomach. It sits higher than normal and makes that spot a little sweatier.

Great fit and perfect for hot/warmer days
These fit well, the fabric keeps you cool and as always with Rapha shorts, the chamois is excellent and fits very well. The bib is comfortable- you can't "feel it" and you do manage to stay cool even when it's hot and humid. Great product.
