Perfect winter warmer
Brought for the cold days when you still want to go out and find a mountain to climb. It is perfect. Keeps you warm in my experience down to 0. And when you start to warm up the two way zip is great. I’m 6’3 and 93kg and have struggled with sizing but the XL is perfect, it’s fit is very Racing Snake but my issues have been in the shoulders and chest so not a problem here. I am a XL in my core rain coat also from Rapha so all good. The insulation is amazing, never too warm unless you are really in the red, but it keeps you just right. Only slight gripe is the zipped pocket is so small it’s useless for any “valuables”

Solid staple for medium-cold weather
Excellent for keeping wind off your trunk during fast downhills on cold days. Pairs well with thermal long-sleeved jerseys for rides that don't quite require full winter kit. My only complaint is that the pocket openings are high on the back and very difficult to find with gloves on (which will be always when you're wearing these), so it can be difficult to fish things out of your pocket without pulling to the side of the road.

Lightweight, Packable,breathable
Wore this on the Giro della donna ride for the first time. It’s very lightweight, waterproof (water beads off), windproof. Kept me warm and dry when it started raining. Fit is snug as with all pro team. Does make a flapping sound on the seams of the shoulders when at speed. Regulates temperature well even when it was warm.

Extremely pocketable for the warmth it offers
Ideal to use as extra protection against mild conditions (5-12°C) along with other baselayers. If you just go out with a jersey it would be suitable for temperatures higher than 8°C. Not as warm as a softshell jacket and its definetely not windproof for long cool descents. Yet it packs into the back pocket without any hassle and it keeps you warm for chilly days when there arent huge gusts of freezing wind. The bottom zip is super useful to access jersey pockets and to regulate temperatue. The pink accents look very nice and are indeed reflective in pitch darkness, however it isnt a high-visibility piece.

Greatest vest EVER!
I freaking love this thing. Super warm, packs easy and the double zipper is the icing on the cake. My only complaint is sizing is tricky. I bought a large and a med. They both fit, but the med is a whisker small depending on what you’re wearing, where as the large is too big if you’re dressed lightly underneath. I meant to return one, but couldn’t decide which one to return, so in a huge moment of gluttony I kept both....Oh well, they’re a little pricey for that, but.....

Great addition
Wasn’t really sure about an insulated gilet, but has made a massive difference recently to my cold and wet rides. Has kept me warm as a top layer in cold but dry conditions as well under a rain cape when wet. Great bit of kit!

Perfect
I wear a size small Jersey and found a medium size Gilet fit best. With a pro team insulated Jersey and base layer under my Gilet I was comfortable down into the low 30s/upper 20s in Iowa. Great piece of kit.

Very good, but with some minor flaws
Overall, this is a good product that has allowed me to ride comfortably in 6-10 C with only a jersey and arm warmers for company. It breathes well and means I don't have to wear thick base layers or a more restrictive jacket.
There are however a couple of issues which stop it being great.
With the pockets full, the waist band does become quite tight, some more stretch would be appreciated.
More annoying is that the sharp edges at the bottom of the zip have chaffed several pairs of Bib Shorts to such a extent that I worry it would wear holes over time. I now typically ride with the zip slightly open from the bottom to prevent this. By no means a showstopper but it does kind of ruin the svelte lines of the Gilet and seems a bit of an oversight - a simple zip garage would prevent this and I hope that one could be implemented into version 2.0.

My new go-to vest!
The insulation is warm and helps protect from the wind. I stay warm without getting clammy and wet inside the vest. I also love the yellow from a visibility standpoint. Two thumbs up. The XL fits me well and I found the size chart accurate, I'm 6' 2" and 190 pounds for reference.

Was this made for cyclists or triathletes in mind?
Honestly, I really want to review this gilet much higher than in normal use, but in keeping with Rapha's latest cut revisions, you end up with a top that is cut for more of a swimmer build with a narrow waist and broader shoulders/top. This results in loud buffeting in the wind or on descents and is just such a silly issue to have from a company this entrenched in cycling.

Great added warmth
Excellent for added warmth under a jacket in the winter and for spring/fall rides. Pockets are nice and deep and the zipper pocket can fit a wallet and phone well. I bought a Large and its a little short in the front, but back is perfect. Double zipper is really nice for ventilation up hills and the curved zipper pulls are easier to do with 1 hand than standard flat zipper pulls. I live in North America, thus driving on the right side of the road, which means that the reflectors are on the wrong side to be best seen by drivers. Perhaps Rapha could develop a N-A edition of their clothes.

Great in cold weather
Been using this for a month now and its a great addition to my winter wardrobe.
Have worked well for me with temperatures below freezing (around -5c) with a thermal base layer and winter windblock jersey under it.
Quite snug fit and feels a bit tighter than other pro team gilets, as there is not much give in the material.

Love it, but....
This is far warmer and far lighter than I expected, and I’ll get excited about those near zero morning rides. BUT, the sizing was misleading for me. I’m no more than a medium in every other Rapha product, and took a large in this knowing it is an over garment. But now I wish I’d gone XL.

Love it
A little tighter than Pro Team lightweight wind vest I have, but it also could be due to a little less less stretching. But overall fit is good, no flapping during descents and kept me warm and cozy in low 40F

Gilet with great range
Cycling around the San Francisco area is tough. The weather can go from 40s F to high 60s and cool down again in a single ride. This versatility of this gilet helps keep me comfortable through all these temperature changes. I'd have given it 5-stars except for the slight bit of loose fabric around the shoulder armhole area that can tend to flap in the wind. Otherwise, I love having this gilet as part of my kit collection.

Useful but...
Worthwhile bit of kit. Certainly warmer than standard gilet and useful for lower effort sessions and on long descents. Fit is odd, tight around the lower 1/2 (I’m 6ft and 66kg) disproportional to the shoulders.
Postage was disappointing, took 11 days despite £5 postage charge.

Sizing
Really pleased with this new piece of kit. I've teamed it up with a long sleeve jersey and been really comfortable. I normally wear a medium but found I had to go one size up to the large. With the medium I found it really tight even if I only had a base layer on. I was concerned going up a size it would be too loose, but its a good fit when I have a base layer and long sleeve jersey.

Perfect fit and for mid 50’s F Temps and below
6’ 180-185lbs & ordered size L. Fits great. I could possibly size down, but would be very slim in body. Regulates temps really well. Have worn in temps from the 30’s-50’s and it performed great. Glad I chose the insulated option. Zippers are easy to open to let out heat with one hand even on difficult terrain while on trails mountain biking. I did notice while road riding that as others have noted in reviews the back of the shoulders will flap a bit. Happy with color, fit, and top notch details and high quality finish of the product.

Versatile piece
I'm glad I made this purchase. It blocks the cold, and packs much lighter than the other vests that Rapha makes. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to the top zipper, which is not a locking zipper. When unzipping below top of chest, the wind will cause to open all the way, flapping about.

Great insulation, perfect for fall weather
I live in Bogota, CO, where it's constantly between 15-20° Celsius. This gilet paired with a long sleeve jersey provides the perfect combination for this weather (as long as it stays dry). The insulation on the chest area keeps you warm on descents and when it gets windy. Looks are top notch as well.

Brilliant
Brilliant. Such a well thought out and quality item. The fleece material on the chest keeps you warm and keeps the wind off you. The sides and back are breathable but keeps the shower off you. The reflective logos and designs are nice touches. The back is a bit longer than the front and provides a bit of cover when riding. The fit is excellent and super snug, no material flapping around. The pockets and zipped pocket provide safe storage for the items and carries everything securely. Would definitely recommend.

Great Product! Versatile and High Quality!
I bought this gilet about a month ago, along with the Pro Team thermal Jersey (both in size small - I'm about 65kg and nearly 6ft) they both function well together (along with a long sleeve base layer), down to temperatures of around 4 Degrees Celsius, the gilets insulation in particular keeps you core warm, whilst allowing for the breathability that you would expect from a jersey on warmer days or when putting in a hard effort, just what I wanted. I would feel completely comfortable going out on a long ride wearing just this gilet (as I have already), and the pockets provide plenty of room to store a wind or rain jacket.
I have a number of products that I've bought from Rapha now, and they are always extremely high quality and fit for purpose, on and off of the bike. Rapha's clothing always packs in a wide variety of features whist maintaining a fashionable look, the clothing always holds its shape even after hundreds of washes, which for me justifies the premium price tag, I cannot recommend more!

great gilet good for all weathers
I bought two of thoose gilets (one in yelloe and another in grey) and I love the product...the only thing that I dont Like was the size, because I usually use in rapha small size, but the first gilet that I ordered was to tight...the medium size was perfect.

Great warmth and compression. Flaps in the wind.
Great warmth and packs down to nothing. Easily fits in the back of a jersey pocket if you get too warm. My only complaint would be that the arm holes could be cut more aggressively to avoid flapping in the wind when speed picks up.

Too tight and I had to return the product.
I'm not over weight but fairly long in body. However this gillet was just to tight for me and I didn't feel it was long enough and sadly I had to return it. Quality appeared to be good but was unable to test out it.

One of the best peices of gear I own. Perfect fit, great-looking, packable & super versatile. I'm 6'/175lbs and the Large is perfect. Going to buy the jacket if/when it's back in stock.

Awesome
Bought this vest a couple of weeks ago for cold morning starts and its perfect for that. Didn't realize that it had four pockets on the back like a jersey. 3 open at the top and 1 zippered. Stops the wind keeps you warm enough but not to over heating and STILL compresses down small enough to fit a jersey pocket. Only issue is with regards to fit, every one is different of course, but in my case shoulders are a bit loose and so there's some wind noise and flapping of the fabric.
