Love the Jersey, Hate the Graffiti
For those of us who commute all year long and ride after sunset, we know the meaning of cold. This is the only jersey Rapha makes that can stand up to winter riding in the dark. I was thrilled to see they brought it back. It's my favorite of all the Rapha jerseys. UNFORTUNATELY, it comes with a big RAPHA logo right in the middle of your back. We know it's Rapha. You didn't need the oversized logo. I like Rapha for it's understated luxury, but I hate the logo on this jersey. Yes, I bought one because really needed the jersey, but no I don't like the way it looks.

Great jersey for around zero degrees Celsius rides
The jersey is really something in between a jersey and a jacket, and personally I think it is great. I can use it without a base layer if necessary. So far I have used it with a long sleeved or sleeveless base layer, in temperature from -5C to +5C. Works great for me. I am 199cm/6’6’’ and usually am a Large in the Classic/Brevet range (chest wise). But because of my long arms I got this in XL. It is still a good enough fit across the chest (but the sleeves could still be longer…). But unless you, like me, have “unproportiornately” long arms, you should stick to the sizing given by Rapha.

lovely jacket
as others who reviewed this I see it more as a light jacket than a jersey. Not worn it yet in really cold weather, but it seems perfectly warm enough for a 30 minutes commute down to at least freezing. Ditto not tried in rain yet - I'd probably go with other waterproofs if it was heavy.
it's a lovely jacket, very comfy and good fit. Rapha's return policy worked well as I started with a medium (too small) and returned for a large (I'm 6 foot, 75 kg).
if anything it's a little darker in colour than I expected from the picture. I like it lots! but in the dark it feels less visible - it's certainly not designed as hi-vis kit. But if you're well lit otherwise then you should be fine. For day time riding though it's perfect

Seriously thick winter garment
First impression is this a really warm winter jersey.
Unfortunately I haven't worn it outside yet because the medium is just too tight. I'm 5'11, 74kg and I'm a medium in Rapha in absolutely everything. Even the Pro Team range, albeit at a push. I've measured against my normal jersey and they measure up the same, the difference being that the insulation/windproofing material makes it very tight, to the point where it restricts your movement.
I will be returning for the larger size as the quality and features promises to the only dry, winter jersey (jacket) you'll ever need!?!

Great winter jersey.
Bought this jersey a few weeks back in preparation for a Canberra, Australia weather. This morning was the trial run and it exceeded my expectations. My gilet was in my pocket just in case and it stayed there - the jersey’s wind block panels did their job as advertised.
The temperature picked up during the course of the ride; starting at near freezing and up to 10 degrees Celsius. The jersey had it covered though with the zippered vents to let some air through.
Fit may feel a little close initially, but found it perfect when on the bike. I can see a lot of time being spent in this jersey over winter!

Luxury Winter Jersey
Worn once so far and it worked well on a gentle ride at below 5 degC coupled with a medium weight long sleeve base layer. Fabric has a heavy luxurious feel, accentuated by the colour, slightly fleecy inner lining and glossy finish. Fit (medium, 5ft 9", 70kg) is slightly closer than I anticipated. It feels a bit tighter across the shoulders than my Brevet jersey but this could be due to the weight of the material (or is perhaps something to do with the windproof liner) but once on the bike it felt fine. Overall I'm very happy with the item.

Excellent Warm Winter Jersey
I bought this jersey for winter riding. I am 1m85 / 80kg and size L fits perfect to me.
I wore it on several December rides for over 4 hours in temperatures from 0°C to 7°C in a pretty humid (85-99%) and windy winter weather. Combined with a long sleeve base layer, this jersey keeps you warm, it is comfortable and has excellent windproofing. The front zip vents were great for opening to prevent over heating, although not the easiest to open quickly with thick winter gloves. Windbreaker fabric is just in the front and not on shoulders and arms. I like the decision. This design regulates temperature better and to avoid overheating. The collar is pretty tight but, in cold windy weather, I found it perfect to keep body heat when coupled with an insulating snood. Pockets are large and there’s room for the extra stuff you need in colder weather. The only thing that I’ve found could be better is there isn't any gripper but there is a draw-string around the base of the jersey. Anyway, I love this jersey. Style is outstanding. It is warm, extremely versatile and I would definitely recommend this for cold winter rides.

Warm and comfortable
I like the decision to place wind block for the bod and not on the arms. This design regulates temperature better. I wore it in sub freezing weather with 40 mph winds with a winter base layer and I was comfortable and dry. Keeping the core warm keeps the extremities warm. And when you warm up, having the cooling of the arms is welcome. I weird dichotomy that works. Beautiful, and thick too. Like others have said, the neck and body are tighter for the size. The snugness is OK in cold conditions.

It’s a Rapha top? You should have said...
First winter top I’ve invested in for a while - which might explain why I’d been so flippin’ cold... Not my first choice colour, and not a fan of the switch from discrete branding to the massive logo on the back, but the top itself has been superb. Brilliantly warm - wore it with a base layer and short sleeved top at -6 and was fine. The wind proof front is a great innovation. I bought it with a voucher I’d been given - it’s expensive if it’s just your own hard earned pennies. But I don’t have a cheaper, different brand, so I can’t say for sure it’s worth the difference. But it is very good.

Exceeds expectations
Bought to replace a worn winter jacket. When I tried it on knew it was a quality product. Fit is perfect for me; XL fits me across the shoulders, chest and arms with good length front and back - I'm 6'3" & 14 stone. It's more than a jersey, it's thicker like a jacket with decent storage pockets. First proper winter ride last weekend was 0 deg C and it worked perfectly; wIcked away moisture, and didn't get cold - actually opened the vents to cool down at points on the ride. Haven't had it out in the wet yet; with the type of material I'm keen to see how it fares.
For sure it bosses the cold.

Decent warm winter jersey
On the good side, it's pretty warm. With a long sleeve base layer I've been warm after only 5 minutes of warm-up for rides of up to 1.5 hours. Longer rides would be possible with a gilet or maybe a secondary base layer - a jacket on top would enable riding in sub-zero conditions.
On the down side, and I guess this jersey is part of Rapha's "Classic" range, but I would have preferred a more racy fit or at least fabric with a bit more stretch and cling. I'm 178cm and 78kg wearing a Medium and it's quite lose around the arms and torso, but a Small would be too tight in the chest/shoulders.

The Best Winter Jacket Ever!!
The Best Winter Jacket Ever!!... this is a good fit, with adjustable “bungee cord”, large pockets, with very large stowage rear pocket with zip ,good size vents to the front . Secure zip pocket for keys all as described by Rapha..... what’s not described is the quality of the jacket a d the benefits of merino wool. I always suffered with the cold and also “sweating” mid ride... then been very cold at a coffee stop or the second half of the ride with the wind chill... this jacket is brilliant and maintaining warmth while keep pretty dry... I did wear last weekend.. 2C start with a high of 11C... the combined benefits of the zipped ventilation and the merino wool meant is stayed comfortable throughout the 90+ Mile ride...thoroughly recommend

Warm and Toasty Winter Jersey
Now worn this on a few freezing frosty mornings and amazed how warm it is. Not only is it warm it feels good and like all Rapha kit in my opinion looks good. Generous pockets, nice high neck to keep the chill out, can’t think of any negatives to say about it. The fit is as expected, I am 186cm and 85kg, bought a size L which is spot on, I have just been wearing a base layer underneath but if required there’s room for another base but one base with this jersey is warm enough for me in 0 deg. Can’t comment on windy days yet, feels like it will give some wind block protection but as a Thermal Winter Jersey, and I’ve had a few over the years this is excellent, really pleased with it.

Nice jersey but not enough stretch on the arms
Nice jersey but not enough stretch on the arms. I use to take Small size for Rapha Jersey so I ordered a S but I had to exchange for a M because I was very tight under the armpit and cannot easily enter the arms. I am 1m72 and 62kg.
The material is not enough (not at all) stretch around the arms.
Windproof is OK on the chest but no Wind protection on the shoulders and arms.
So on very cold weather the arms are not enough protected...
Very good to be able to open on the 2 sides when climbing.

Can’t be beaten.
I’ve got to be honest, this has been my best but also worst purchase ever. I’ll start with the bad bit. It’s my first ever Rapha item. It’s that good I don’t think I’ll buy from a different brand ever again which is going to cost me more then I can afford!!! The good bits - well since buying in early Jan in these minus 1 but feels like minus 7 degree temperatures all I’ve been wearing is this, merino wool shorts sleeve and bib tights. Job done. No problem at all. Could probably wear up to about 10 degree before it’s too warm. Product still looks brand new months later despite plenty of use. If I could change one thing it would be the huge logo on the back. As without that it’s the ultimate stealthy silhouette style that I love. But like I said this product is worth every penny and glad I will have ready for next autumn/winter.

Perfection!
This could be one of the single best pieces of cycling clothing I've bought! Style is outstanding, fits perfect and is extremely versatile. I can use this up to high 50Fs with a light wicking baselayer using the vent, down into the 40Fs with a normal baselayer and into the 30s with a 260 baselayer. Anything lower into 10F/20F range I use a jacket over. This piece takes me from 50F down to 0/10F.... AWESOME!

Winter Jersey/Jacket
More like a jacket than a jersey. I was super impressed with the quality of the jersey and it looks great. I got the blue with reflective Rapha on the back. At 185cm, 80kg I bought the large after reading other people's recommendations and it's a more relaxed fit for me, which is fine in very cold conditions as it allows for warm air to build up on the inside, in combination with a Rapha woollen underlayer, medium size. I could definitely go a medium for a more fitted feel as I wear medium in every other Rapha garment. The jersey is perfect for -5 to 10 degrees given the vents on the sides. While I prefer three pockets to hold my phone, food and spare tube separately the two large pockets are great. I don't think I'll ever use the inner pocket but could be good to hold a lightweight rain jacket. Beautiful jersey, well worth the money.

Top notch.
I truly love this one. It's always difficult to find an appropriate outfit in winter, autumn an even spring season (Belgium). I wear this one with a termal shirt in winter (±5-10 degrees Celcius) and I basically switch it up in autumn and spring with a lighter one. Weather is very Brittish in Belgium... Quality is very good, I'm never too hot (especially with the front zippers) and never too cold. Huge storage. And miraculously clean-friendly. A friend had a tire/chain issue and I helped out... Had grease stains all over it and just dipped the spots in a light detergent and soaked it. Washed it on the lightest program, hung it to dry in the sun. Like new. No spots or marks whatsover. It really won me over then and there!

Love It With Some Hesitation
I just got it so haven't spent much time on the bike with it yet. The fabric, style, detailing and features are all, as expected, top-notch. The fit seems a little off though. I sized down to a medium b/c the sales people at the RCCSF said it ran a little big (and I've gotten a little trimmer). The body fits well, again as expected, and length of torso and sleeve is right for me. The one thing that is not congruent with the rest of the fit is that the neckline is very small - might be the bulk of the fabric combined with the bulk of the zipper, but I can't zip the jersey all the way up (and I have a 14-3/4" neck, (once referred to as a pencil neck!). If I size-up the body will be too long....

Comfortable warm jacket
I'm normally a Med guy for jerseys (6ft and 74kg) but opted for large having read previous reviews. The fit is not quite as snug as I'd like but the looser fit does make it really comfy on the bike. The arms are a little too long, but no issue when reached out on the bike - I guess what I'm saying is, I was in 2 minds until I wore it riding, then I thought this it really good! I rode at 5 degrees at easy tempo and needed the vents open, which worked well. I reckon it would be too warm for fast paced riding even with the vents open though. The pockets are huge and a bit deep for accessing bits and bobs when needed, also I'd like a choice of brighter colors for the winter riding it's designed for. Overall great quality - bring on the colder weather!.

Classic Winter lives up to it's name
Classic Winter Jersey - not good enough of an explanation for what this is, I have been using this jersey fr the ultra cold days over these last couple of months and I wish I had purchased one sooner.
Warmth = ideal for sub 5degc or less
Fit = As the Rapha kit is made for mostly racing snakes I go for extra large as the longer arms I have fit perfectly.
Quality = Best of breed, really well made and as winter usage almost heavy duty seams & zips
Style = Best of breed, very distictive.
Overall 9/10 for me, would be perfect if the price was lower but happy to pay for a quality product

Bobbles
Purchased this in black. I’m 5’10 and 80kg. Medium slightly too snug and large looked a bit too loose.
Nice design. Love all the pockets with zips. Especially like the zipped vents. Loved the shiny satin look.
The only issue aside sizing was the material.
After only 3 washes at 30 degrees the material had bobbles on the front left vent panel.

Warm Jacket
I think this Item falls into the Jacket category more than jersey. So its great, warm and wind resistant, long and ideal for most winter conditions. I still have layering dilemmas but this "top" will be on the list most if not all of the time. It runs way too small though when paired with a base layer and shirt, so I went for Medium rather than my usual Small size so it fits well but not too tightly over my chosen under garments. I like the large but subtle Reflective logo for dawn / dusk / dark rides and massive zipped pocket too.

Ok but not the best Rapha has to offer
Good quality material and nice looking but not as warm as I had hoped and quite bulky and heavy. Bought this thinking it would cover me for most of my winter rides but in hindsight would have been better off paying the extra for the classic winter gore tex jacket which having tested seems more versatile.

One of Rapha’s best products.
Very comfortable and very heavyweight winter jersey! This might be the best quality winter cycling product I own. You can instantly tell this is a nice piece the first time you pick it up. Multiple layers of merino wool combined with strategically placed wind block panels make this jersey a borderline winter jacket. With a good base layer, I am confident this jersey will keep you warm at freezing temperatures, and still function like a jersey rather than a jacket. The large pockets and huge zipped pocket are another bonus for long winter rides. Plenty of storage for an additional jacket or vest, food, and supplies.

Rapha Mens Classic Winter Jersey
I read a few reviews before buying this winter jersey, so I guess I had a good idea of what to expect. It’s exactly what it says on the tin! It’s very well put together, nice and heavy weight and has some really nice detailing. I bought it in my the blue colour way and it is a really beautiful colour of royal blue, I’d say it’s almost more on the side of navy so it’s quite dark but has a lovely sheen to the material. It just looks expensive and I guess it should do as it is on the upper end of the Rapha price range. However I think it’s worth the he money.
I wore it out with just a long sleeve merino base layer underneath on a day that was about 6 degrees and quite windy and I was still nice and warm I only needed an extra layer when it started to rain. It’s not waterproof by the way.
I bought mine in a size XXL as I’m broad in the chest and back and it was a good fit and pretty much what I expected, I’d say it on the slimmer side but not tight. Just enough room so there was no material flapping around and it was nice and comfortable with a base layer.
The material is mostly a heavy merino wool mix (it’s almost in the jacket territory weight wise) I think and it’s got some panelling on the front for extra wind protection and lots of zips for ventilation if so desired. And ample sized pockets in the back for all your essentials. It’s much thicker material than a regular jersey you can definitely feel the difference.
So on reflection I’d say I was very happy with my purchase and will have this on for years to come through the winter months, maybe even some of the autumn and spring months as I live on the Isle of Man and it is cold and windy alot of the year!
Hope that helps somewhat on your decision to buy!

Outstanding Jersey for Winter
Nothing but positive experience with the winter jersey. Ordered large - fits perfect. I am 6 ft (182cm) 177 lbs (80kgs) (15.5 inch neck / 34 inch sleeve). I have used from 28 F (-2C) to 50 F (10C). A merino 150 weight base layer is good from mid 30sF to 50. I have only used once above 45 and had to open vents and zipper. On colder rides closer to freezing, I have used a heavier hollow fiber synthetic base layer. Jersey looks great - ordered the blue and had many compliments from my riding group. Breathability is excellent. A very versatile jersey.

highly recommended
I was looking for a jacket for commuting from -5 to +10 Celcius. This jacket does the job, if combined with a selection of baselayers and a hard shell.
The fit is fairly relaxed. I like that a lot for everyday use in and out of the city. It makes it easy to get on and off and in a hurry, and you don't look like a wannabe Batman.
With a short sleeved baselayer I am comfortable to around 0 Celsius even on a mildly wet and windy day. I like to ride fairly hard, and thus breathability is relatively more important than insulation and wind and water resistance for me.
One point of disappointment is the wind protection on shoulders and sleeves. Don't expect it to be as windproof as a hard shell, and expect to wear a long sleeved base layer when it is proper cold.

Good for many conditions
This is a very versatile "jersey" although like others have said it is really more of a jacket. Looks great on and off the bike. I own an older version, the Sky training winter windproof jersey, which is one of my favorite pieces. This one is slightly tighter at the arm holes, but otherwise a similar fit. I wear this without a base layer for rides that start in the 40s and end in the 60s. The front vents are a very handy feature, especially to let some heat out as the ride warms up.

Jacket not a jersey. Bring on the winter!
Bought this in preparation for the UK winter, which hasn't quite arrived yet in October, but already I can say this is going to be a great product. Importantly for those looking at purchasing this (or a new winter jacket) I think the jersey labeling is a bit misleading - this product has the feel of a jacket and will easily go over bib shorts, base layer and a standard jersey (I've tried, and am an XL btw)
