Excellent quality, could use more reflectivity
I’m a med in classic and core, needed large in this for layers. Riding through a Toronto winter with temps around -5 to -10. It is more of a jacket than a jersey. Two large rear pockets and two zippered pockets leave lots of room. The arm band and large Rapha script on the back are reflective. I wish Rapha would slap a big reflective shape on the back, even my 4 year old asked how cars could see me in it (I ride very early mornings in the dark).

Excellent Quality Jersey!!
I wore this out on a ride for over 4 hours it initially I put I waterproof jacket over the top due to the rain and cold. But it was far too hot so I took it off. I managed the whole ride in just the Rapha Winter jersey and despite the cold and rain I was warm and comfortable thought out. The jacket is not waterproof but kind of worked like neoprene trapping a layer of water which was warmed to keep you warm the windproof panel were great. Also I had on was a base layer and the jersey which worked well. The front zip vents were great for opening when climbing to help prevent over heating, although not the easiest to open quickly with thick winter gloves. Pockets are easy to access, the large zip pocket is great for putting your gilet in and the small zip is great for phone and valuables. One bad point was the cuffs where a little tight so they couldn't overlap gloves and accessing my watch was a little bit of a struggle. But apart from that I would definitely recommend this for cold winter rides.

Amazing Cold weather jersey
Great heavyweight jersey that I’ve worn in temps as low as 39f to 60f. At 60 I was full unzipped and 39f perfect and could have handled colder if I had proper foot wear. My favorite part is the front vents. Having two of them plus the normal zipper I feel like I can always get to the right temp without stopping. The front otherwise blocks the wind and the back breath’s which is huge (they call me the rain man due to my sweaty nature ). Well thought out and designed. Only thing I haven’t figured out is why the zipper pocket is mesh and goes inside the kit. Doesn’t bother me just seems odd.
It is pretty heavy (one of my riding buddies thought it was a jacket) but soft on the side so I put it right over my bibs.
are amazing at letting in the right amount of air

Best cold-dry weather riding piece I own.
And I own a lot of the 'fancier' ProTeam items. Due to the vents on the sides & rear, it becomes so much more than just a regular warm merino jersey or even a jacket. Marry this with a thermal baselayer and you're good with temps as low as 0C. And the main advantage - you can do higher pace training as it dumps surplus heat/moisture so much quicker than any fancy goretex garment. HIGHLY recommended.

Great jersey
Excellent jersey. Have worn this jersey on several long rides (8-12 hours) with just a short sleeve merino base layer where temperatures have ranged from -4 to +14c and has been comfortable throughout. Definitely recommend

A Great Winter Jacket
Fantastic jacket to keep you warm. Combined with the merino wool base layer and long sleeve jersey, I'm comfortable from 8°C down to 0°C.
The vent flaps don't make a great deal of difference.
The jacket is looser fitting and fits well over multiple layers you may be wearing underneath. I wouldn't size up or down with it. The Core rain cape of the same size will go over it just fine.
There are 2 big pockets on the rear that are deep, good for putting rain capes in. There is a generous zipped pocket in the centre.
The jacket can cope with light showers of rain, but not for too long.

Great fit
Very good fit for me and comfortable. Arms are slightly long but not an issue as i can fold in the cuffs abit and that doesn't look weird.
Nice and comfortable and feels warm as the weather is getting a little bit colder now. Always happy with my purchases and this is no different. Would have been nice to have the logo on the collars, maybe pink.
Also pink piping on the bottom of the top. I like the pink. :)

How long are
The arms??
It would be interesting to understand the sizing approach made by Rapha. I purchased a large size which, for the type of jersey, allows some flexibility for additional layers during the cold days. But whose arms do they measure? I have long arms but even these are grossly over long meaning they are having to be turned under…is that the design? I’d love to know?

So good, I bought it twice.
This is one of my best cycling pieces from any brand! I absolutely love this jersey so much so that this is my second one already. I don't have any piece that is more versatile or adds so much to my cycling comfort. Further, this thing is bombproof. You can wash it a million times and it holds up. With a couple layers below I can ride it to sub-zero Celsius conditions no problem. Merino t-shirt, with a winter baselayer on top and this jersey over it had me fine in -3 Celsius for two hours without issue. I also can just wear this jersey alone up to 12/13 degrees Celsius and use the vents to regulate. What other piece of kit gives you that much versatility? I also am glad this has all the pockets, including two zipped ones. Large zipped back pocket gets my wallet. Small side zip pocket my keys. Three large open pockets in back for everything else with room to spare. I bought the yellow one for visibility and to have a more snug fit. XL worked fine on my previous one but have lost weight and wanted one in large for tighter fit. I wear large in all other jerseys from Rapha and was right size for this one too for me. XL was great for more layering but I didn't need it. Sold that jersey which was in the bordeaux color and now prefer the lighter yellow one for visibility purposes. It's a mustard yellow to describe it properly. Not day glow yellow, which is fine as I can be seen but by cars and not from space. I am 5'11' and weigh 85kg with a muscular build. This jersey in L fits snug but you can get two baselayers under it no problem. If there is only one item you ever buy from Rapha, let this be it. I have probably twenty other pieces of Rapha kit so not applicable to me but this is the best one.

Brilliant winter jersey
I was looking for a good quality winter jersey that had decent pockets, with a few zip options, ideal for rides from an hour up 3+ hours in UK winter weather. This jersey ticks all the boxes and has the vents to stop overheating, on the slightly warmer days. I’ve mainly used it from -1 to 6 degrees C and very happy with the jersey, would definitely recommend it. The zip pockets are perfect for money/keys/phone and the other pockets easily accessible for gels and food on the longer rides

Really warm and stylish winter jersey
I have worn this at about 5 degrees celsius on early morning rides in the UK this autumn. I had a Rapha long sleeve merino base layer underneath and I was totally comfortable ion the conditions. I think you could easily wear this at temperatures of around freezing. It isn't waterproof so you will need to bear this in mind if thats what you need, but for dry cold days this is perfect. I wouldn't recommend it for temperatures above 10C / 50F as you would possibly get too hot, although there are zippable vents at the front to provide some cooling for changeable conditions.

great jersey
i was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this, as i have two rain jackets i use (one Rapha) that are close fitting with a base layer and a Rapha long sleeve jersey underneath and didn't want this to feel to thick and uncomfortable if i need to add a rain jacket over the top, i needn't have worried, although it is thicker than a standard long sleeve jersey it's not silly thick.
anyway I've worn it many times now in a variety of conditions and it shrugs it of with ease. i love it.
the vent zips are fantastic, long and more to the front of the jersey, but you can feel the cooling affect round the sides, and the zip working up side down is such a great idea and makes for easier opening and closing. the two rear pockets are deep and secure, the full width zipped pocket is great.
i absolutely love this jersey

Good jacket!
This is more of a light jacket than a jersey perhaps. I wear it with variety of base layers determined by the temperature and pace of the ride, and this is my go to outer layer for cold autumn and now through this UK winter.
in terms of design, it's a tight fit relative to classic. It's nowhere near as stretchy as a classic jersey. Visually, the giant Rapha logo on the back is a little OTT relative to the rest of their lineup. It's fine but i'd rather it was more subtle.

Absolutely Stunning
We all know that cycling gear is more than just functional; we want to look great too! The photos of this blue Classic Winter Jersey dont do it justice at all. When I took it out of the package to wrap up for my husband for Christmas, i absolutely fell in love with the light iridescent sheen of the garment. It's so beautiful! Of course it looks magnificent on him, and (almost) secondly, it's functional and keeps him warm and toasty on our chilly California coast rides!

Not today cold
In search of a nice winter top for chilly New England winters. The sleeve length is solid. The fit is snuggg. I opted for a smaller size to stay aeroish. But if you’re looking for something more comfortable, def recommend a size up if you’re in between. Two great front side air vents from armpit down to waste. Really nice for ascents or hard efforts or if the weather heats up. Also a great rear vent/pocket as well for your backside. A zippered pocket for safe keeping’s. And two big pockets for grab and go. Rapha really outdid themselves with storage in this one. I’ve been nice and toasty on 30•F rides. And found the short front length/long back length to be slightly awkward off the bike, but absolutely dialed when on the bike. No bunching and no draftyness. And the neck is also snug for bigger necks not allowing airflow in

Great but not perfect!
Great Jersey, near jacket. It is a heavy weight jersey that protect you from the very cold. It run large for me, it is the larger jersey a have(10+), so i can easily put a long sleeve base layer + regular long sleeve winter merino jersey under for very cold day(0C). The arm are not wind proof like the front of the jersey so i feel a bit of cold from there. The rear pocket are 2 big instead of 3 regular and for me that was not a good idea.

A true heavyweight
Just finished my first ride in this jersey. 6 degrees c (or 44f) with a rather cold wind and it stood up to expectations perfectly. The side vents work really well for when it gets warm. The material is lovely, heavy, impermeable but very breathable too. Size large was a good fit, a bit larger than the pro team kit but that’s to be expected. Perfect for layering underneath if you feel it necessary. As Rapha says, why change it when it’s this good already!

Fits like a glove
Really nice design, cut & construction. Excellent warmth @ ± 45°F with a merino base layer. The wind block in the chest makes a vest unnecessary, but a closed vest helps in colder temps. Also great under a shell down to ± 30°F.
Size large, 175lb, 6'-2" 42" chest

Good but not for the really cold rides
Great styling and well made like all Rapha gear. Although fine for milder days this is no mid-winter jacket, have used for several 0-3 degree rides and it falls short. Need a base layer and arm warmers as wind and cold protection for arm and shoulder is minimal.

Bring it winter.
I live in coastal California and in the Luberon France, California has many microclimates on any given ride. The Luberon has the mistrals and cold valley roads. Between the two, this winter jersey excels in both climes. The wool blend coupled with a wind blocking liner on the front panels both breathes and blocks the wind. A high collar negates the need for a snood on most winter days. The best feature is the zippered chest vents that allow air circulation when you warm up on the climbs. Reflective hits for visibility include a subtle Rapha logo on the back.

Great jacket - worth the cost
This is a lovely jacket and ideal for the British winter. It oozes quality and actually makes me look forward to cold winter rides. The fit is spot on (apart from just a bit tight on my throat when zipped all the way up) and feels really smart and stylish. Rapha gear is never cheap but for me this jacket is worth every penny. I was not too sure about the mustard yellow colour at first but it has really grown on me and it is good to be visible.

Excellent winter jersey!
Excellent winter jersey! Fit true to size of classic range (Size L / 185cm / 82kg). Was wearing it with merino layer underneath in temperatures between 5 to 10 degrees C and I guess close to 0 would be possible. Ventilation slots work very well, the wind proof front panel is effective. Only criticism is the large and not at all discreet Rapha logo at the back...however it is for me an essential piece for winter riding.

Premium, a must for me
An excellent garment which has kept me riding through cold weather. It is a really thick jersey (not waterproof) which has kept me warm down to minus temperatures with a base layer underneath. Two zippable side panels mean you can ventilate if you are over heating so the jersey meets the demand of changing weather. It is a snug fit but probably the best fitting Rapha jersey I own, I went for medium and it’s perfect for me. I wear a large core jersey which is a little loose and my shorts are a small but medium is certainly true to me in this jersey. In short it’s an essential piece of kit for me, looks amazing too and I’ve enjoyed riding in it immensely. If you can find it in a sale, buy it and hang on to it until the weather cools off again

Does exactly what it says
Found this Jersey just the job for early spring rides. True to size on the fit, very warm and really good quality, plenty of space in the rear pockets and the zipped pocket is great for my phone or carrying ID in. Rode out on a relatively warm Sunday morning, but had to open the side vents after about 10 miles as I found myself over heating, but that was probably down to my wrong choice of clothing for the weather

Nice idea but not the execution
Really nice thick jersey bordering on jacket but the collar was too tight in relation to the rest of the jacket. Also the rear logo was a little loud for my tastes and returned.

Warm riding
Had a couple of outings with this jersey. Actually it feels more like a jacket. It certainly keeps you warm in cold conditions ( 5c). Poured down with rain on my second ride so I put a waterproof jacket over the top and was nice and toasty. Love the large pockets for all the extra stuff you need in colder weather Feels like a good fit too. My only complaint would be that the collar rubs on my neck a bit.

Excellent
This jersey with a medium weight base layer under it is all I need for the damp UK temperatures between 3oc & 8oc. Any warmer than this & the jersey can be a little too effective especially during harder efforts. Any cooler & an extra layer may be considered. The fit, comfort & durability of the jersey is as you would expect from Rapha with the added benefit that it looks the part!
