Excellent improvement on the previous model
Rapha did a great job redesigning the lightweight bib in 2017. The materials are much sturdier, the cut slicker and padding better positioned. It keeps me cool even on rides along the Caribbean coast without sacrificing durability.

failed my expetations
Upon opening it was immediately noticible the difference with these Flyway Bib-Shorts compared to my regular shorts. The garment fabric is so delicate, similar to ladies nylons. Its is much too lightweight for my needs and the pad is too short & thin, unlike your previous Bib-Shorts.I live in Australia where it's very hot & humid for the most part & all my previous Bib-Shorts purchased from you have been more than adequate for our Australian conditions. To conclude, having purchased several of your Bibs I feel the best on offer is the Pro Team Bib Shorts. They will save you time & money. You will be truly amazed on the quality. I weigh 82kg & am 175.45 tall and use the regular medium Bib-Shorts.I am so pleased with the Pro Team 2 purchased with this order that I have immediately ordered a 2nd pair !

Tight on the shoulders
Have worn twice as they were recommended as a must for cycling. The bottom half fits perfectly, although a bit weird in the front as a guy. The chamois doesn't really allow for much space to have the package sit comfortably. The part that goes over the shoulder is a little tight and the fabric is a tiny bit abrasive. It is my first bib so nothing really to compare it to. But definitely the most uncomfortable part is the part that goes over the shoulders. The fit around the legs is perfect.

Great Warm Weather Bib
Perfect for Summer riding. These were my primary bibs/shorts for hot and humid days. They are a great weight, the padding is comfortable and the upper part of the bib feels like it is barely there.

buy it for the image, not the quality
After less than 200 miles my shorts already show wear marks on the seat. The chamois feels average, not stellar. Best part is the ultralightweight mesh bib upper which is pretty comfortable.

My favorite fit!
After owning several Rapha bibs, Classic Flyweight is my favorite fit. I have a more short athletic build at 5'10". and need a little more room in the hips.

So thin, so light
The fabric is very light and is indeed comfortable in very hot condition. I've ridden with this (and the Flyweight Jersey) on 31°C and humid day and never felt wet or heavy. I wonder if the material is going to last being so thin, it's like a piece of paper, but so far so good. It wears a little shorter than my Core Bib, maybe because it's less stretchy. By the way I'm 6'5" and 75 pounds and large fits well, especially for the slings (my medium jersey also fits perfectly).

Great bibs
I'm really enjoying these bibs. I was a concerned when I first got them since the upper is made of a rough textured fabric that could potentially chafe without a base layer esp since this is marketed as a hot weather piece, but so far no issues (note, I did use Body Glide to proactively prevent this). Rode 80 miles in my first ride in them and experienced no discomfort. The chamois is comfortable and the lower main fabric is lightweight and soft to the touch.

Saved Me From Saddle Sore Scarring
I did an event early in the summer that resulted in me getting Saddle Sores and I've been struggling with a pair of bibs that would allow my nethers to repair with antibiotics. Luckily, these bibs solved my issue and I'm not experiencing nether pain before, during, and after rides. I just wish I found these sooner because I'm now recovering from some slight scarring, but thankfully these bibs with some bag balm fully protect me from the scar to be bothered.

Great chamois but...
Great quality and feel, hi quality product as you would expect from Rapha. Bought with a Pro Team Flyweight Jersey for our hot and humid riding conditions here in Houston. What stop’s this Bib Short down from getting five star rating is the length of fit in the body. This material digs into my shoulders even when riding. Let’s down what is otherwise one of the best bib shorts I own.
As reference I am 194cm and 102kg, I bought 2xl... Ride 150miles a week.

Disappointing
I already had a pair of lightweight shorts. These were amazing! The flyweight shorts are a little disappointing. The pad is quite rigid and creates some robbing after 30 minutes, in the upper thigh area. Unfortunately I cannot return them as I have worn them out on a ride.
Having said that, the straps are amazing! They are almost non-existent.The grippers are also fantastic.
I am 6 foot two and a 31 inch waist and I bought a large.

Comfortable & high quality materials but tight fit
Beware of Rapha's sizing quirks. I am a medium in most things but a large in Rapha (5'7" & slim). The large did fit me well, but the straps are very tight over the shoulders and you have to get used to that. Great materials though - well made and seemingly durable with a definite premium feel which I like.

They seem pretty good!
I needed some new bibs and I thought I would try Rapha on for size.... I am consistently a Assos wearer and I was a little skeptical given Assos is the benchmark which I think all shorts should be judged against. That said, I think they are pretty good. The leg grippers could use a little work as I found the shorts did ride up a bit but otherwise the chamois was good and I am overall very pleased with the weight and cut of these bibs.

Brilliant, light weight bibs
I bought these (short version) for a trip to the Alps in the summer - last year it was 30C+ - and they are just what I needed. Amazingly light but comfortable fabric, superb chamois and they sit just right all day long. The wide straps work well and the back fabric keeps you as cool as possible.
Typical Rapha attention to detail and styling make these a joy to own. You won't know you're wearing them but you'll be glad you were!

Another Winner
I've been a fan of Classic bibs for years now and decided to finally try the Flyweight. Excellent summer bib short. It fits a bit shorter (okay by me) and it maybe a touch more compressive than the Classic. I also feel like the chamois is a touch smaller and maybe a bit less dense. Straps are less stretchy and maybe require a bit more care. All good and should see plenty of miles this summer. Might need to pop for a second pair.

Nice Flyweight Material
Great flyweight material on a classic bib short. Nice comfort cutting!
Only set back is the singlet which is tad rough and it is rubbing on the shoulder and sometimes at the neck when turning heads. (This probably only happened to those with thick neck like me + I never wear inner layer which allow the singlet directly rubbing on my neck.) Overall, nice material and cutting!
Beautiful blue lining at the end of the bibshort.

Definitely Light Weight
I have tried the set in the hot and humid conditions. I'm not that happy with the jersey fabric as it doesn't feels comfortable and a bit harsh on the skin. also, it shows the sweat. The bibs fabric also feels too light similar to inexpensive bibs that one can find for far less price tag.

Lightweight ideal for hot weather
I wanted a lightweight / thickness pair of shorts for hot summer days. These were Rapha’s offering. Despite some negative reviews re the straps fraying I bought a pair. I’ve been extra cautious putting them on but they’re exactly what I wanted. Great fit XS for 5’8” 60kg guy. The usual quality with Rapha. Pad is great as are the materials. Can’t comment on longevity hence the 4 & not 5 stars

Hug Me There
These had a "hugging" effect which most manufacturers are currently marketing as "compression." Rapha, always in tune with the emotional aspect of cycling, long ago earned my trust in the sector of hugs, particularly in such tender and personal bodyzones.
The chamois is split in an interesting way, which I was leery of at first, until I put my full body weight and a saddle on either side of it, at which point I realized they'd really come up with something. Perhaps an air channel for men or a "Mannel" to keep things cooler under special duress.
The minimal straps of the bibs served the function of airflow quite well, and added to the over all sexiness of the bibs by giving them slightly naughty (but respectful) visual notes of neglige.
The finish is shiny, the short length manly, and the sartorial vibrations correct, though I'd prefer a closer match in appearance between the flyweight jersey and bibs, at least as far as the navy blue hues go, or maybe the slightly out of place white finish edge and logo application. Minor gripes, considering I can just choose to stare at something other than my gorgeous legs while riding. Like maybe my wrists.

good fit and stylish
Size is good, same size as my lightweight bib short that i bought previously
however, the silicon grip is not as good as my previous one, it tend to roll up pretty quickly and creating a different tan line over my thighs.
nonetheless, it feels lighter than lightweight bib (holding it by hand or actually wearing it) and overall i am very impress by it's weight and comfort it provides

My Standard
The Classic Flyweight Bibs are a hot weather "standard" for me. The size Large is a perfect fit and the compression is ideal. The pad is comfortable and the straps lie flat beneath my jersey. My recent purchase(s) was the version in regular length but previous purchases were the short length. Both lengths are good for me but the long version would be too long for my leg length.

Perfect purchase
I bought these as the 'core bundle' wasn't available in my size. Worth the extra money as the padding is amazing, cycled 130 miles the first time I wore them and can say you get what you pay for with these. While expensive, very comfortable and the best Bibb shorts I've ever purchased! Also had some very helpful customer service over the phone from the Rapha guys!

Decent Features
Is the type of Shorts I have the most.
It is long lasting and the padding i think is the best versus other models.
That concerns me a little is that quality of the fabrics and the seams. I´ve had a pair for two years of decent use and it´s begining to get worn out in a few areas and honestly, for the prize I was expecting a little better long lasting story

Just perfect
East coast summers are 90F w/90% humidity. I see bare chested (guys) hammering what they can in these conditions. With a black helmet you roast. These work and go the distance 50-100mi/ day. Bought a second pair as cant wear these 2 days in a row under those conditions. Got the shorter version am 165lbs, 6' large worked. Hate too much graphics but .....

Comfortable!
I bought the Flyweight Bundle kit a little over a month ago. I have been on several rides and really enjoy the kit. This is by far the most comfortable kit in hot weather that I have ever owned. The sizing is right on and the performance of the fabric is great. Great product quality, I highly recommend it and I will be buying more Rapha products.
