|Outstanding Base Layer
The lightest, yet most effective base layer I've worn. Excellent for an early morning ride when there's still a bit of a chill in the air, but you don't won't to bulk up with layers. The cut is generous so the lower part of the back is covered. Certainly recommend this item.

Feels Really Good
I was given the long sleeve mesh underlayer as a gift. Really liked it, so I got the short sleeve version for the warm weather. I am a large in the long sleeve, but I am a medium in the short sleeve. I like the short sleeve a bit tighter to wear under a snug summer jersey.

Very soft and light
This is my first base layer ever. It is very light, thin, supple. Very comfortable. I don't feel it at all. Very soft to the touch. Stretches very well and fits like a glove. I like it a lot. It'd be perfect if the lazy cyclist could just throw it in the regular wash :)

Light, fragile, ripping
Bought 2 of this and after 3 or 4 uses it starts to rip apart. It’s so fragile that if you want to undress it after the ride properly, you better get your skin 100% dry.
Have washed it on delicates cold water, inside delicates bag. Never on dryer.
Don’t buy it.

Does Its Job,
Great base layer, just tears easily when wet right after a ride (which is always in my case) if you take it off wrong. Best to just let it dry on you and then carefully take it off. I literally found an article on WikiHow regarding how to take off tight clothing.

Brilliant, but unexpectedly warm
Cream is a much neglected colour- and perfect for base layers. This is a great bit of kit with all the class and quality one has come to expect from Rapha - it's also far, far warmer than looks (or product description) might lead one to expect.

Far too short in the body
Far too short! Size L normally fits me well in Rapha kit. This fits well on the upper body but is measurably much shorter than other Rapha base layers in size L. Almost unbearably short and I think it destined for the back of the drawer.

Very efficient base layer
I worn this piece in both cold and hot temperatures
The net result is about the same, it keeps me a constant temperature in both conditions.
It works quietly in the background, impressed with the performance I bought a couple more

The best base layer out there IMO
I was really disappointed when these base layers disappeared from the Rapha shop ... but am delighted they are back. The new colour is more 'dark fig' than purple which is just what I had hoped. The ideal complement to Rapha pink.

Excellent Fit and Feel
Wore this under Brevit Short Sleeve Jersey on a Century Ride I did in Death Valley, CA USA. Very comfortable with no seams. Helped keep me warm during the cool morning of the ride. And, helped wick sweat in the warm afternoon.

Feeling fresh
I bought this to ride the Etape du Tour, as it would be cooler than the Merino. Superb, kept me feeling dry and cool, even though I probably wasn't. More importantly, it made sure my chest was irritated or rubbed sore.

Light, tight and breezy
I always gravitate to Rapha's wool layers for comfort and dryness. This base is great for riding in 80+ degree days, as it is thin but comfortable. Fit is appropriately tight, which i like but is not for everyone.

Summer base layer.
Ideal base layer for cooler summer days. Warm for the early miles and then comfortable for the whole ride. Seem to be slightly more robust than a previous version which I pushed my fingers through taking it off.

Brilliant
Absolutely brilliant base layer. On to my fifth 1. So versatile. I use from summer through to winter. The only downside is they very fragile & care needs to be used taking them off & on also in washing them.

Great base layer
Excellent base layer. Great quality. Good wicking properties. Have three of these and medium fits true to size ( 178cm, 69kg, my usual Rapha size medium). Just take care when washing as merino mesh is thin.

Love the comfort
I have had one of these for a year and loved it so bought another 2. Fit was M for a 38inch chest. It is quite delicate and the first one has a couple of tears in it from just pulling it on and off.

Good Product - Treat with Care
This base layer is warm and comfortable for those <10degree mornings. The material is light weight which adds to comfort and utility but a touch fragile so I wash the base layer in a small bag.

Hot/cold weather base layer.
An excellent product that does exactly as described on the shopping site. (though I did manage to put my finger through it the first time I took it off) It has been used many times since then.

Careful when taking off post ride
Great piece of kit but you have to be very careful when taking it off. Third ride in and I ripped it taking it off, I'll count it as adding extra venting but hate that I've torn it this early.

Poo fit
Base layer is a poor fit. The front is too long at the top and bunches up where the jersey zips up. Otherwise it does a reasonable job on cooler days and dries quickly after warm climbs, etc.

Rips apart in an instant
Can not recommend - tears up so easily and you'll get holes in it very easily when taking off. I am a size medium and skinny, still no chance to keep these Merino Mesh layers in one piece.

Does the job!
Very happy with this base layer. Easy to forget I’m wearing it as it’s so comfortable and lightweight. Does a great job of wicking sweat and equally drying out quickly when I’ve stopped.

Very nice but rather fragile
I really like this base layer. Warm enough for cooler days, but breathes very well. The only problem is that my fingers literally got through the fabric while I was pulling it off.

Warm and feels great
Bought 3 of these to have enough on rotation between washes. Feels great on the skin and fits very well. I have only worn these during a Melbourne Winter and does an excellent job.

Perfect weight and moisture managment
I use many of the Rapha 100% merino underwear, but sometime they are a bit thick and heavy in middle seasons. This Poly-Merino blend is the ideal alternative. Great fit and look!

Awesome base layer
Excellent quality. Not too thick so that it can be used when its not so cold. Fits as expected. I'm 5 feet 11 inches/185 pounds and use a large that fit just snug enough.

Like a second skin
Forget all of those fancy materials for base layers. Merino wool is so simple and effective. I wore this on a chilly 50F morning and a 72F mid day ride with no problems!

Fantastic Base Layer
Bought prior to a trip to Mallorca. Fantastic on hot days - you can really feel it working. Was a little uncomfortable on the first wear but after that it was fantastic.

Unique product
Less of a string vest than previous versions but still breathes well. I use it for cold morning commute to work, warm afternoon commute home in Melbourne autumn/winter.
