Best In Class
I’ve waited a couple years to buy a fully waterproof jacket because there aren’t many that combine the goretex fabric with good design details. Rapha finally delivered exactly the look, fit and material I was hoping for. The fit is trim, but not race-fit. The material is legendary. A garment I hope to ride with for many years to come.

Great jacket but…
Totally waterproof, unbelievably lightweight jacket. Great arm length cut for being on the bike, but just too short in the body. Needs to be 2 inches longer IMO.

Best lightweight waterproof owned so far
Owned a gore shake dry before this but the fit of this jacket was so much better, it breaths so well, seems to hold up really well to a day in the rail and love the reflective detail and the blue.

This the real deal
I have used the black Pro-Team Gore-Tex jacket in the worst of weather and it performs brilliantly. What a really wanted to add was some hi-vis colours, and the Brevet Jacket is now perfect. Same fully waterproof protection and now in bright colours. Fit is exactly the same as other Brevet kit. Medium is perfect for me (178cm and 77kg)

So nearly perfect
I have had two or the previous iterations of this jacket. So now with added gortex. I only “upgraded” coz of a crash put some holes through my pale green one.
The others were great. This one is great too. But there’s a couple of things. There’s no elasticated bits on the end of the cuffs. These were great. They were tight enough to grip you glove/mitt and stopped cold air and rain from going up there and stopped the sleeve sliding up. This is important coz as with all Rapha long sleeved anything they are too short! I’m 6’ 2” and skinny. So I’m always torn between small and medium. I have to get medium for the sleeve length and put up with the slight roominess. Even then the sleeves here are still a bit short. A large would be like wearing a spinnaker.

I would return it if I could.
I’m actually shocked to the core how bad this jacket has performed today on it first proper test.
I have had this jacket for a few weeks now (unfortunately I can’t return it) and had worn it twice before, on two commutes to work and on both occasions the inside of the jacket was a little bit wet with sweat.
Today I decided to wear it over two layers, a base layer and the Rapha Pro insulated. The temperature was -1 to 2C and there was one or two light showers. I was warm enough and felt that the jacket protected me from the elements but after two hours of riding as I was nearing home I felt wetness at my elbow, and by the time I got home the moisture had trickled into my gloves.
Once home I removed the jacket and my two other layers were soaking wet. Basically the jacket is a boil in the bag…
I have given it two stars because the shape and design of the jacket is good. The looser tail on the jacket give you easy access to your jersey pockets and the cuffs on the sleeves are also good, and the reflective stripes are very good.

Iconic colour way, incredible performance
Rapha’s navy blue brevet range with white and pink reflective stripes has rapidly become an iconic and instantly recognisable combination.
The Brevet range has always been full of incredibly comfortable and functional clothing that out performs all other brands and being incredibly durable, it outlasts anything else, even from more costly brands.
So when they teamed up with Gore to produce a lightweight, waterproof, breathable rain cape, my excitement and expectations were high…
It didn’t disappoint. Packs smaller than a couple of energy bars, can wear it when it’s not raining at 6 Celsius with just a long sleeve core jersey and be warm and comfortable for hours in the saddle. Wear it in harsh rain and you wish your bibs could do the same. Rains instantly beads off but still comfortable on the inside.
This is my favourite piece of Rapha gear I’ve ever bought (and I’ve bought a lot over the years…)
The fit is normal - not sure where the comments on smaller fit are coming from. I’m normally a large, but initially ordered XL due to some reviews. I’m 42” chest and it felt like a big flappy bag. Exchanged for large and it fits fine.
The best bit of kit you could buy. Combine with appropriate layers and you can wear it (or take it with you) all year round.

Gorgeous, but……no hood.
This is a great jacket for mild to hot rainy conditions. The color (purple) is beautiful and it packs down well as a lightweight option. Although it keeps the rain out, it can get a little steamy which is surprising for a goretex product (think bag of microwaved rice after a hot ride). Part of me wishes it had a packable hood, not sure what kind of rain coat omits a hood….I am 5’6 and 145 lbs, bought a large to fit over a jersey, and it fits very well. I have a shorter torso and longer legs, and like the length, but I can see other body types arguing this will be too short.

Back could be longer
Beautifully made, expensive feeling jacket at a matching price. The back, especially for a rain jacket, was too short for me but then I’m tall. Size large was tight over layers but fine over a single, thin jersey. I’m 193 cm and 82kg, so long and slim. Sleeves a little short but that’s my fault for having long arms. I think XL would have been baggy

Ideal extra protection for longer, cold rides.
Good wind blocking and water proofing layer, I like this for faster rides where a more form fitting garment with no pockets or flapping is desired. Probably could be a fraction longer in the front and somehow the tail often doesn’t quite sit right(this is with a jersey and tights underneath, I’m not expecting it to fit with shorts, for example). I like to wear this if the temp is around zero or lower, with either just a jersey or a base layer too under. Overall very good!

Super waterproof out of the gate
So far so good. Still pretty new, so cannot comment on jacket's durability yet, but the waterproofness out of the gate is outstanding. Rode a few days in showers, no problem, and one challenging day in a total deluge, hours and hours of rain. Stayed totally dry inside and out. One small gripe is the zipper is a little stick on the bottom zip, but hoping that becomes less so over time as the zipper gets used more.

Happy
Generally happy with this purchase. Wore it every day on a recent tour of Normandy where I caught rain every day. Happy with the water and wind proofing. I didn't find a problem with the length in the back, the length of the arms, or the snugness of the wrists. I bought this in a red-ish color which looks great and has the added bonus of being pretty close to hunting orange which makes me feel better when the guns start going off.
My two biggest complaints are pretty small.
1) I think there's too much fabric in the arms, especially the upper arms, so it catches more wind than I would like. Given that Rapha's clothing really shapes to cycling physiques I was surprised that this wasn't tighter in the arm circumference.
2) I've developed a discoloration at the top of the neck collar which I imagine is some combination of road grime and sunscreen. I haven't been able to wash that out -- it looks like a permanent and ugly discoloration. It might be a nice design to have a bit of non Gore-tex fabric sewn in at the top of the neck collar for washability, or a darker color for just the collar and maybe the wrists where you're more likely to pick up tire and chain oil.

Almost perfect.
Quality jacket. Completely dry after two hours of UK wind and rain.
I love the style.
Fit is accurate as a Medium compared with non cycling brands such as Levis, Next etc. However, this would be a 5 stars if there were two sleeve length options as per the Pro Team shorts. Not all riders are pro rider dimensions.
The only improvements I would like to see are different sleeve lengths and potentially the introduction of some flex (but not at the cost of pack size).
Again, this really deserves 5 stars if not for the minor issues.

Does what it’s supposed to.
This folds up nice and small and keeps the water off, which is exactly what it should do.
I went for the yellow colour as it was cheaper in the sale than black, but am happy with the bright finish now.
The only slight downside I would have, if I was being incredibly picky, is that the forearms are a touch too baggy (and I’m not a skinny armed typical cyclist).

Stunning rain jacket with typical Rapha styling
Yes i know it always feel better when its a sale item but this still amazed me. Very nice fitted jacket and stunning in this lilac. Great to wear as a simple lightweight jacket for those windy days with a risknof the odd shower. Haven't tested it yet in a full downpour but sure it will cope better than both. Typical Rapha styling works well.

Nice rain jacket, shame about the gut.
Previous Brevet tops have been perfect fit. Med too small all over. Replaced large ok but not too roomy, and short for me in body length - should cover med top length but does not. Not keen on elasticated cuffs, too tight, prefer looser felt wrap to fit over gloves. Quality seem nice though

Good protective layer
Size L fits me of 181cm. A good protecting layer against rain and moist. As all products like this one it’s end up moisty inside after an hour or more in the saddle. I would like a pocket or two on this one though.
It is very good looking and the reflecting bands are well fitted.

Great for British weather
A great jacket that breathes well. This makes an excellent piece of kit for our changeable climate. It does breathe well and prevents overheating when dry and as the rain starts it simply rolls off keeping you perfectly dry and warm.

Rapha Brevet Gore-Tex Jacket 👍
Whilst I have tried many Gore-Tex cycling jackets over time o have never bought one that is ideal for me however the Brevet Gore-Tex jacket is in my opinion the best of what I have tried and certainly not the most expensive.

Cool! Doesn't work well as sausage casing
Way cool jacket. Rapha sent me advance Gore-Tex care instructions. It's a great rain and wind shell. Did I mention that I am an American man in his late '50s? The zipper cried as it tried to stay on track. The coat begged me, "NO! Don't make me wrap around that big huge gut!" How I wish that I was trim and fit like my pro-tour heroes...

Great looking but not my fit
I’m used to the city/urban line. This one’s fit is very strange. Large is my size normally but this one is very tight at the armpits at size L. It’s definitely not for semi-upright position leisure rides OR this in this line I should have had a size XL (unfortunately it was unavailable by the time I realized the size issue).
Though the design looks sharp as always. The zippers although are hard to pull, feeling close to torn material. Probably some soap could fix it.

Good performance jacket
Rain jacket performance was very good on a recent ride with some heavy rain, no sign of any moisture inside this jacket. Light weight jacket but good quality and sufficient size to go over a jersey and base layer. The Brevet range does provide for more movement and is less restrictive than the pro range. The only issue is the jacket is a little short in the body and I would need rain proof leggings for extended periods of rain particularly in the colder months.

1 size above is recommended
I previously order rapha jerseys in size S. I ordered this jacket in S size but had to exchange it with a size M. With the S size my shoulders had no place to move. I recommend one size above (my experience). Pockets in the back would be perfect (reason for the missing 5th star). I wore it in windy and very rainy day. Despite is is said this gore tex fiber is more wind proof than wrain proff, it really does the job!!!
