Tough fit
I am a medium in the pro and core jerseys. Core fits looser but a small is too tight for the type of fabric core uses. Similar in this garment the medium is a little baggy but fits right in the armpits. It’s meant to be worn over another jersey but the material is somewhat tight and not very moveable. It felt uncomfortable with a jersey underneath. I sized down to a small and decided to just ride with base layers but there is not enough stretch. The small is very uncomfortable in the arm pits. It’s just not the right garment in any size for me.

Winter Riding Jacket-Not to cold and not to Hot!
I bought this as a primary winter riding jacket for the DC/MD/VA area. I have used this in temps down to 35F and up to 50F. I typically will wear a light base layer with a merino wool short sleeve top from Rapha. I found on long rides 40-50 miles the jacket breathes well the only problem is the first 10 miles you feel a little clammy but after that if you wear the right undergarments it will keep you relatively warm. It works very well, super functional, and great looks.

Nice and toasty
Bought one of these jackets in navy blue in October 21 from the London Store and was really impressed with how warm it felt through Oct - Dec and also thought it was well priced - so when the chance came to purchase a different colour - red- in the sale it was a no brainer and again really pleased with the quality and the performance of the jacket - if I’m ever in London or Manchester I will make a beeline for the Rapha store - shame there are not just a few more stores dotted around the country. Anyway getting back to the jersey I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a warm wind proof winter jacket

Bought it twice!
With a merino base layer, I’ve been using this for rides in temperatures ranging from 2 to 8°C, while staying comfortably warm. Descents can still get you cold, but not to a point where you’re uncomfortable. The jacket is built well and fits perfectly. In fact, I ended up ordering a second jacket a couple of months after the first one.

Rapha’s Core Winter Jacket is a must have!
Does a great job at keeping you warm through winter riding. You can see and feel the quality of the materials that are used in making this jacket. From the sturdy zipper, to how the jacket keeps your arms warm all the way down to your wrists. The pockets are bigger than Core Jerseys, so you could go on longer rides.
A recommendation: if you have any of Rapha’s Core Jersey, order the next size up for this jacket. It isn’t as flexible as a normal jersey.
My only complaint: is the pockets. Like I said, they are bigger than Core Jersey pockets. While wearing full fingered gloves, items are sometimes harder to retrieve out of them due to that they move around in the pockets.
Other than that, totally worth it!
Hope that helps you.

Windproof and warm
Windproof and warm. Maybe I’d like it to remove moisture better, but I have a feeling it’s not the fault of the jacket but the jersey I usually wear it under and it's not from Rapha . The only thing that bothers me is the narrow cut. I'm on the heavy side and I thought the core models were looser. No matter what it motivates me to lose a little weight and it will be ok ;)

Another top product
I owned this product (or a version of) previously and this definitely feels less 'jackety' and more 'thick jersey'. I was sceptical that it would keep me as warm but it seems to have performed quite well so far - yet to have the Danish winter hit it though. If it does prove warm enough then the lighter, more low profile look and feel is a winner. Note: It was far too tight in my usual size (L) to get anything underneath it and the move to a size up now means it's a bit flappy around the edges and the rear pockets feel a little open at the top. But in every other way, it's another great Rapha garment

Disappointed
I liked the usual Rapha design of this jacket, but also technical aspect should be kept into consideration. In this case I was very disappointed. No wind proof at all and is impossible to wear this jacket in winter european weather, unless you wear below something thermal/wind proof. This is not more protective than a normal long sleeve shirt. Far away from other popular brands. Also the cut is quite odd, with too long and big sleeves. As i used it in a couple of rides i could not return it. otherwise I would have done it.

Tight fitting - better try it first
Overall quality is pretty good and is a nice jacket for late fall and early spring riding. However, the sleeves is too long and narrow so it can to tough to wear another jersey under. Also, compare to Rapha long sleeves jersey, the material has much less stretching ability, especially at the waist. Overall, the fit is thus too tight for me. I wear small size Rapha summer jersey but small size core winter jacket is not a good fit. I am 170cm tall and 60kg weight.

A beautiful colour was the main reason
I’ve bought this jacket during sales. 181cm and 80 kg, I went for a Large and it’s definitely the right choice. The cut comes fitted in the arms and torso, slightly wider in the shoulders area. The fabric hasn’t much of a stretch, and is a bit stiff as opposed to competitors’ windstopper fabrics. The pockets are placed too high for my liking but this isn’t a dealbreaker. The wind barrier beneath the front zipper should be stiffer, in my opinion, to stay in place correctly. I appreciate very much the shape of the cuffs, there’s thought in the way they’re made. I also like the understated look, the subtle branding.
I tested the jacket during two rides, 50 and 100 km respectively, 3-8 degrees, overcast, no rain. The jacket performed averagely well. Nothing stands out, so nothing to write home about. No faults but also no glory. It’s a good jacket in a colour I like (turquoise). A good purchase at a discounted price.

Outstanding! Don't let the Core range put you off
Superb! Bought this as a replacement for my aged Classic Soft Shell jacked which has finally died. As it comes from the Core range, my expectations were somewhat reduced, but it's surpassed them and more. Super confortable fit, and warm down to below 0 celcius with just a merino base layer. It's become my go-to jacket for commuting and all round winter riding and easily lives up to the performance of the outgoing softshell.
I take a Large size in all Rapha stuff and this fits perfectly. I steer clear of the Pro Team range as I'm not super skinny (80kgs, 180cm tall) so this fitted as expected. The arms on this jacket are slim but OK for me and they are a perfect length with a nice cuff. The rear pockets are easy to access and spacious and the zip is a perfect length. I normally run with this fully zipped which I rarely do with other tops.
Nice colour. Nice fit. Nice style. Nice Price. Warm. Confortable. Perfect really!

Cool look for cool conditions.
Cool look for cool conditions. Colour and design are subtle, but attractive. Fit and quality are excellent. Pockets are excellent, especially the zip pocket. Every top should have these. Overall weather proofing is very good. Not a heavy softshell, but just the right amount for protection from most of the cold. On fast flat or downhill, you can feel a little cold transfer from the windchill. But this is balanced nicely with superb breathability for the rest of the ride and not overheating on climbs. Medium was a good fit for me at 175cm and 70kg. Would definitely buy again.

Warm and stylist but consider sizing up
I bought this in turquoise, the pictures don’t do it justice, it’s a great colour with 4 instead of 5 as I think it would’ve looked better with a white arm and white rapha detailing. It blocks the wind nicely and it’s kept me warm at 5-10C, lower than that I Zwift! Size L is a somewhat aero fit at 78kg and 40” chest

Great Jacket But not a deep winter Jacket
Fantastic jacket, well worth the money, this is not a deep winter Jacket but will go down to about 5 degrees with a base layer. Arm length is very very good even fitting me with long arms and 6'4". I am 198lbs and the xl fitted me snugly. Only criticism is that it is a little 'deliveroo' in the turquoise.

Partial Wind Blocking
Well cut, sleek but not a true riding jacket for Chicago winter weather. The wind blocking function works well in the high 30deg to mid 40deg and above but anything in the low to mid 30deg and your chest and shoulders will feel the cold. I usually wear a wind blocking gillet over my base layer underneath it to maintain core warmth....the rare venting on this jacket is superb...still a great piece of kit though.

Not for winter, Spring maybe
Not for winter, Spring maybe
If you get cold then this is not for you.
It's 40 degrees outside and I wear a long sleeve base layer and a long sleeve cycling jersey then put this on and can feel the cold.
Well made, the fit is prefect.

Mens Core Winter Jacket. Size Xxl. I’m 6’ 200 lbs.
First time for me to by a nice winter jacket. Size is a little large but otherwise fits good. Nice wind blocking on front side and breathes well on arms. I like the pockets on the back. With different layer options, I’ve ridden in temps from 35f to 65f. I wish Rapha would come out with some better priced core layers to go with this great jacket.

Top jacket
Great jacket. Love the material. Sleeves are more comfortable than the core long sleeved one & have proper cuffs. Wore it in some pretty decent rain & stayed totally dry for about an hour & a half (I know it’s not actually a waterproof jacket). Blocks wind really well too. I’m 6ft & 75kgs,got a medium & it fits perfectly.

Now I have two
I had been shopping jackets for a while and have some Rapha jerseys so thought I would give the Core jacket a shot. The XL size fits me (5'-10", 170 lbs) through the body with enough room for a base layer. The sleeves are really tight and a little long although I don't notice this when I ride. I have used the jacket down into the low 40's with a base layer; for me this is about as cold as I ride so I'm not sure abut temps below this. The zipper on the small pocket blew out the 3rd time I used the jacket - it is not big enough for my cell phone and key fob; it would be nice if they made one of the main pockets so it zips. Rapha was prompt and responsive on the warrantee and are sending out a new jacket. Overall, I really like the fabric, the fit, and finish with a couple small complaints.

Perfect winter jacket!
First ride out wearing this jacket was a chilly one! Started out with a temp of -1 Celsius rising to 3. With just a base-layer underneath the jacket kept me comfortably warm throughout the 4 hour ride. I was expecting to have to layer up but didn't! Worn regularly during the recent cold spells in the UK, great reliable performance. Sizing is good, great arm length. Build quality is great, I'm sure this will be my go to winter jacket for years to come. Well done Rapha, great product, great price!

Excellent winter jacket
Good winter jacket for 2 to 10 deg C. Rear of the next bunches up a bit, but otherwise a good size and shape for winter riding. Down to 2 deg, I ride with just a long sleeve base layer underneath, which works well.

Perfect Jacket
Jacket fits tight like it is supposed to. I wear a base layer under it and have taken it out when it was below freezing. It kept me just right. Not too hot and not too cold.

Super versatile winter layer
The Core Winter Jacket is a highly versatile winter layer. The construction is excellent, fit is snug but comfortable with plenty of length in the arms. It is a great wind-stopper and repels light rain.
I am 185cm/72kg and found the Pro Team Winter Jacket to be too small, especially in the length of the body. The Core jacket is a much better fit for me. Overall it's super functional, a great colour and nice cut.

Great winter jacket!
First jacket from Rapha and it's great! I'm 176cm and go to the gym. It fits close to the body but with enough space for a base layer and a bit of movement on the saddle. After a few cold morning starts I found it warm enough between +3 and 10degrees with a long & short arm base layers. However no vents make it a little sweaty, hence 4stars. It provides oaky water resistance when it starts raining. Well made with good materials, will get another soon.
