Unforgiving fit, spectacular performance
This is an incredible jersey/jacket. The wind block is fantastic. On a long descent during the cold fall (1-2 Celsius), no cold air gets to your torso.
However the sizing is a bit iffy. it’s definitely a race fit jersey. It’s even more racey than the aero iersey. Even tho, it’s uncomfortable when standing upright, this really is designed to be worn on the bike. I am only able to fit a thermal base layer at most underneath. But that’s more than enough for temperatures colder than 3 degree Celsius.
Docked one point off for the unforgiving fit.
I wear size S across the board, this is no exception. But keep in mind it’ll be a very tight fit for the usual size.

Great material, poor design
Much like others have said, the material is fantastic, windstopping and versatile. However Rapha got the fit all wrong with this, very tight across the shoulders compared to other jerseys in the same size. One could of course size up but then I think the rest of the jersey would fit poorly. Pockets are placed too high and with little stretch, especially given the constrictive arms. I actually hurt my shoulder trying to get a gel out. Considering that this is likely to be worn with gloves too, it's really very impractical. My advice - wait for V2 with (hopefully) a better fit and more accessible pockets.

Great fit, tall pockets
Great jersey! Saw a lot of comments about the sizing being off, but this fit me perfectly. I’m 6’0” and 160lbs and opted for a Large. I wore this jersey in about 45F weather, with no layer over it, and a thermal sleeveless base layer, and it kept the wind out perfectly. When the sun came out and I heated up, I just unzipped it a bit and was able to regulate my temperature. My only gripe, and this is why it’s 4 instead of 5 stars, is that the pockets are pretty narrow and and the opening feels high. If you’re not flexible, it can be tough to get in those pockets mid-ride. Outside of that, I’m really enjoying this jersey.

Perfect jersey for intense efforts on cold days
A top that matches the performance of Rapha's winter bib tights. For me it's been better than a jacket between 40 and 50 degrees F. Twice I've ridden up Lookout Mountain in Colorado with the temperature around 42 degrees F and it was perfect with just a base layer. You can get by without a vest on a steep descent but I was more comfortable with one on. It was partly sunny on both occasions with about a 5-10 mph wind. This jersey breaths very well while keeping you comfortable. I usually wear an XL but had to go up to a XXL (I also get XXL in the aero jersey). I'm 6' 1" and 190 pounds.

Game changer
For me, this jersey is a game changer. I've posted a similar review for the Brevet version - this Pro Team version is lighter and thinner than its Brevet cousin and is less warm due to not being insulated. So I'd go for the Pro Team version on less cold days, and save the Brevet one for when it gets chilly. Out on the road, this jersey is totally windproof, shrugs off showers and light rain, whilst managing to retain impressive breathability. It is a close fit - I'm normally XL in all things Rapha (188cm, 203kg) but went for XXL for the Pro Team, XL for the Brevet. The main reason that I think this is a game changer - don't now need to take a 'just in case' jacket with me, as this jersey will cope with most eventualities. Highly recommended.

Great jersey for 45-60 deg F
Love this jersey. I've done several rides between 45-60 degrees (Texas winter) wearing various base layers (regular and merino). This jersey is very versatile, what I love most is how dry and not sweaty I am compared to most winter garments. I find the fit and sizing to be great and fairly consistent with other pro team jerseys. Like other reviews say, it is on the snug side and the material is not super elastic but I don't have any issues and honestly love the trim fit. The pockets are higher and slightly smaller than other jerseys but perfectly workable. This has replaced wearing vests for me and since my vest has no pockets at all, this is a massive improvement.

Good but not Great
I'm glad I read some reviews about this top before I bought it -
You will need to size up for this top.
It is short at the front, not overly short but it could do with a few extra inches at the front to stop the feeling of it riding up.
It is uncomfortable to stand around in, but soon as you get in position on the bike it is very comfortable.
Not as warm as I was expecting. The advice from Rapha is to wear it with a base layer. I had a base layer vest and long sleeve, but still felt the chill at times.
Due to being a short top the pockets are very difficult to use at the back. Probably the worst of all the Rapha tops I own.
With it being a snug fit I struggle to get the zip fully closed.
Lets just say i'm glad I got this top in the archive sale as I would be very disappointed to have paid full price for it, but overall it looks great and the quality seems good.

Great quality poor fit
The jersey quality wise is great, but it fits far too tight on the chest whereas on the arms is fine. Ok it’s Pro Team line but it fits me tighter than the Aero jersey! What’s more is pretty short so the rear pockets are difficult to reach when riding, better to stop and take stuff out of them when standing still. I’m 185cm 73kg and always wear M size on Pro Team garments

Hello I am about to buy the black colour but I have just seen the women's grey version. I love this new colour .... will it be available for men soon? If so, I will wait!

Would it be better to wash this jersey with high-performance activewear detergent such as Hex, or with DWR-protecting detergent such as NikWax Tech Wash?
It is best to use a non bio liquid detergent and a double rinse helps to keep the product from any detergent build up.
The heat will help to re invigorate the DWR treatment.

What is the approximate temperature range of this jersey by itself - without a base layer - for the average cyclist?
This jersey windproof and breathable. We recommend it for use in 40-55 degrees F without a base layer, depending on your personal temperature tolerances.

I am looking for a top that will be suitable for riding in 40-55 F, on flat terrain (think average speed around 19 MPH, so wind is a factor). I am thinking this may be the solution, layered with either pro team base layer or pro team thermal, am I right

Is the Gore Infinium windstopper fabric used only on the front of the jersey or both front and back? Does the material have any flex?
The Infinium fabric is used all around the jersey. This jersey is very high-stretch.

How does this differ from the current ProTeam long sleeve jersey with the grid weave? Is it warmer?
This jersey is designed to be worn as an outer layer. It is water repellant and is warmer than the Pro Team Long Sleeve Jersey as it is designed for temperature regulation in lower temperatures.

Will this jersey suitable for hot summer day? lets say above 30Degree celcius ride please compare its breathability compare to other rapha jersey, thanks
This jersey is best in cool/cold weather and is not recommended for a hot summer day. It is meant to be worn as an outer layer.
It is very breathable for having been made with a windproof and water resistant material, but it is not as breathable as say our Pro Team Training Long Sleeve Jersey.
