A Good Jacket without a trick
There is much to like about this jacket. I especially appreciate the hi vis pink colour now the days are darker. The reflective details are very good, placed below where a back pack would be. The cuffs are really well executed and about the best I've seen on many a jacket I have bought over the years. The jacket looks great and is easily spotted so thumbs up. The fit of the jacket is the most generous of any Rapha product I have owned (usually an XL, I could have fitted into a M), but I experienced no flappage
I have been fortunate not to have been caught in any real rainfall, but I'm sure he material will fulfill its waterproof claim. That doesn't however mean that I arrived to work dry; in fact every time I have been soaked. This jacket is the definition of 'boil in the bag'. I find myself getting steamed up after about 5 mins into my 12 mile (45 min) commute, my back and arms are totally sodden by the time I arrive. It's a bit ironic that a garment designed to keep you dry, guarantees you arrive wet.
If I could make one suggestion it would be to incorporate zipped vents into the sides of the jacket to allow sweat to escape. Rapha state they can't accept a return when it has been used, which I understand, but how else can you evaluate if a product is fit for your purpose? So ultimately I'm left with a jacket that is not suitable for my use
If you are an urban commuter with a journey of under 5 miles, this might work well for you, anything over and expect to arrive like a steamed cabbage.

Looks great, doesn't breathe well, runs bib
The jacket looks great and the quality is very nice. I don't wear it so much on my commutes any more since it doesn't breathe very well. It keeps the rain out a bit too well, because it get very damp inside. It's become my favorite rain jacket for just going around town though. Also the sizing runs big. Even after considering the layering, I still had to size down to an XS.

Good price, bad execution
This material does not breath at all. I would wear this for walking around in rain. I would not wear this while being active in the rain.

Looks good, bad performance
The jacket looks good but has very poor ventilation. Any activities other than walking and you will get more wet inside than outside of the jacket. The ventilation in the back is poorly placed just where you have your backpack. The fit of the jacket is terrible, my large jacket fits well in length but boy it is baggy. I can almost fit a yoga ball under the jacket. I know it is a "commuter" jacket to pull over other clothes, but in my opinion it has way to much room. I love Rapha and also the looks of the jacket, but I am sorry to say, I cannot recommend this product.

Nice looking could be more user friendly.
A really nice looking jacket and a nice cut. Unfortunately the zip pulls on both the main zip and pocket zips are very small and very fiddly, which make them impossible to use with gloves on. The main zip is also very stiff and can’t be undone one handed meaning you have to use your other hand to hold the top of the jacket, which is not ideal whilst riding. The loop fastening, to hold the hood in place when it is rolled up, catches on the back of my helmet stopping me from being able to turn my head, which means I can’t us it. Would love to be able to give it a better rating but these details seem like pretty basic things to get right for a cycling jacket.

A great jacket with some irritating shortfalls
Great coverage, wonderful design, great cut. I love the eye-searing color. The cuffs are great for stopping drafts without being a hassle, as many other cycling-specific jacket cuffs are. Venting is awesome, waterproofness is excellent.
But there are some big drawbacks. The zipper is very finicky, and almost impossible to use with one hand. The biggest issue is the hood, which uses a single, uselessly long snap to stow. I wish it had a real pocket to stow into - if you fold the hood down, there’s nothing to hold it down at the sides, so they ride up your neck and you have to tuck them back down all the time. It is a constant irritation that seriously mars an otherwise excellent jacket.

Hard to beat for heavy rain
Really like the jacket. Fits well and can easily move. Hood fits well under a helmet. The jacket is long enough to have the reflector show under a backpack while I commute. VERY waterproof with the only downside being that it doesn't really breathe. You WILL stay dry, at least from the rain. I commute 5K each way in Vancouver and this jacket is wonderful for keeping me very dry. I pair with a t-shirt even in winter so that I don't get too sweaty. Would highly recommend, but for light rain you could probably find something more breathable. Game changer for the really nasty stuff I often commute in.

Decent lightweight shell
The Commuter is a decent light weight bike jacket. The cut has enough coverage to do the job blocking wind and rain. I sized up with this model (L). So far it’s waterproof but I wouldn’t say it’s that particularly breathable. I break a sweat in this jacket very quickly compared to others I’ve tried and the interior surface feels clammy/plasticky on skin. There are other fabrics that have a dryer hand feel that I prefer. If you’re layering underneath this jacket for cold weather it’ll work better. I wish it had pit vents but the ventilation yoke on the back seems to help a bit. The elastic around the cuffs is a nice touch.

Good jacket with small drawbacks
A nice bad-weather and allround jacket, I do see 2 drawbacks though that maybe could be improved.
My use case: daily commuting in winter season
1) Riding in the sun with cold temperatures - I usually use this jacket with some cold weather underwear and everyday clothing. The vent in the back is basically useless, you will start to sweat really quickly. It would be better if there were 2 additional mesh cut-outs under the armpits to allow for some ventilation. I have different jackets and even those with mesh cutouts are still rainproof.
2) The fabric at the end of the arm sleeves is prone to fraying when it comes in contact with velcro (from gloves for example)

Great commuting garment
This was a great addition to my cycling gear. This jacket is a perfect wind and rain layer protection for my daily commute. It is light yet durable and waterproof. I particularly like the detail of the cuffs that seal out rain. The strap that holds the hood in place, the adjustable cords at the waist, and the zipper that closes off-center all make this a highly-functional piece. I chose a bright color and I'm hoping that the additional reflective details will keep me visible. The only detail that I would recommend would be to install pit-zips for when my core warms up to have the option for more air circulation. I otherwise love this jacket and highly recommend it.

Classy rain jacket that works
Have the jacket a few weeks now and I have worn it in all conditions off the bike. I didn’t want it for cycling but I wanted it for general wear. It’s perfect. Hood stays up in wind. Waterproof fabric is nice and soft. Zips sealed and good side pockets. it looks great and is stylish. The Rapha branding is subtle. Sleeve cuffs are a great idea. I do a lot of cycling and don’t doubt that this jacket is perfect for commuting as designed. However I’ll keep this jacket for around town and general wear.

Great jacket with 1 minor niggle
Had this jacket and a black version prior to orange, it’s a great jacket for my 4 mile 4x a day commute. It’s not hugely breathable if you were planning to ride hard in it, but that’s not what’s it’s designed for. It is brilliant at keeping out the wind and rain, fits really nicely ( I’m a 5’9”, slim, cyclist build, my medium has plenty of room for layers and never restrictive with putting bags on up high train racks or cycling!!
Only slight gripe is the hood, it doesn’t roll away very neatly and so sometimes actually gets in the way when looking over my shoulder to check for traffic. Minor gripe because if I spend a few seconds making sure it’s rolled up properly it’s usually fine just feels like it needs a couple more poppers to stop it from un-rolling.
On the whole great jacket and definitely recommend.

The sizing is good.
A good feature of the jacket is the sizing is true; however, the type of material the jacket is made of is horrible, in my opinion. It't a laminated plastic, reminds me of the laminated plastic table covers from yesteryear that my Grandmother put on her kitchen table. It's very rain resistant, but to the touch and feel it leaves a great deal of unsatisfaction.

Fabulous jacket at a reasonable price.
Liked the look of it when it was launched, so took a chance as it wasn't the usual Rapha pricing.
Wore it 'in anger' for the first time yesterday and it kept the rain off, no problem at all.
Don't think it would be any use on a bike as ventilation is non-existent.

Great jacket (much better than anticipated)
Bought this jacket to have as wet commuter jacket - thought the material would be a bit flimsy but it is rugged. This long it have been serving me well during the november rain in Sweden. It is well built and I think it will last - but the front zip feels a bit dodgy (zipper pull) and will probably break if not beeing careful!

Unique High Viz Pink but...
I bought this a couple months ago for my commuter jacket. Overall, I’d say I’m happy with it. The pink is uniquely high viz, the cut is good and it packs nicely in my panniers. The hiccups I have is with it is the zippers—the side ones ripped away from the nylon fabric and the front water proof zipper is a little too catchy. When you are riding and want to pull it all the way up to your chin, you either have to bite down on the collar to pull up the zipper or use two hands. I still love the jacket despite the nuisance.

Excellent visibility, excellent design gets looks
This is the first piece of commuter gear I have bough from Rapha. Needless to say I am very impressed with this jacket. It is tough and waterproof, light as a feather, and very, very reflective. Especially in Chartreusse/Yellow. Another design hit from Rapha with excellent value. This is worth every penny.

Good fit, nice color choices, stylish
This is a nice “rain” jacket but with some serious flaws. Good things are: it’s water resistant, it features front pockets so it can be used as a casual jacket off the bike, and it comes in some great colors so it’s stylish as well.
The bad things are:
1) The hood is difficult to fold and store and the lack of the hood pocket in the collar is a serious flaw. The only way to wear it is with the hood out.
2) It also lacks pit vents so it gets really hot and sweaty inside. in spite of the vents on the back, they are not very sufficient. This jacket is not breathable.
3) the zipper is difficult to operate and I fear that it’ll break soon because its movement is so stiff and jerky.
4) Finally the reflective tail is not nearly as reflective as advertised on Rapha’s site.

Waterproof
I purchased just about a 3 weeks ago. Very waterproof but it is sealed so you will break a sweat in it. The hood needs to have a zip to detach or some way to fasten it more secure. Sizing is designed to have a couple of layers on so use sizing chart. Not very happy that Rapha discounted it further after I purchased it neither.
Would recommend for wet weather or possibly even casual in the rain.

Great rain jacket!
I purchased this on the Black Friday Sale and have used it twice while riding in the rain, and a third time while in street clothes headed to the bus stop on foot, in the rain. This jacket is water tight, and the hood is a nice addition, though it does not fit over my helmet. It performs solidly on the bike, and looks great off the bike (as it doesn’t yell “cyclist”). These run larger than most of my other Rapha products, so no need to go up one size, even if you layer. My only “wish” is that it had a vented back panel, and arm pit vents (so it’s not a full on trainer jacket, FYI)

Perfect durable lightweight rainjacket
Perfect durable lightweight rainjacket for those not to cold showery days. I am using it for MTB rides and running. Due to the Big pro's for me are visibility (pink), fit and wind water resitance. con's are breathability and zippers that don't always run smooth. There as well is a way to fold it really small but which is not clear to me yet and I haven't found online

Perfect for the task, even up to Pacific North Wet
I bought the small and medium in cassette sleeves weren't long enough in the small. But they are the perfect length even for a stretched out road fit. Not too baggy to flap in the wind. Sizing is accurate to normal Rapha fit. Rain just beaded off, will be interesting to see how often the DWR needs refreshing in the winter had on the wet coast.

Beautiful jacket, questionable durability
This is a stylish jacket that will keep you visible to traffic through the reflective accents (mostly on the tail). I enjoy wearing it. Unfortunately, after only two rides the inner waterproof membrane of the hood has started to come apart on me. This happened during a fast commute into work, where the hood was open and flapping in the wind. For now it is a small section (2 cm x 1 cm), but I'm concerned this might forecast poor durability in the future. My suggestion to anyone who still purchases this jacket is to stash the hood if you are riding and not actively wearing it.
