For someone who owns way too many of these types of jackets from all the top outdoor brands, I surprised myself as to why I decided to buy “one more”. Well I’m glad I did because this is my favorite by far!! Yesterday I wore under my ski shell on a cold powder day here in Utah - less bulk and all the warmth. I will likely buy another in a different color because it’s so versatile - ski, bike, hike, travel, everyday to the office with a slightly different style than the others. The warmth and feather light weight is incredible - feels like wearing the lightest, best quality of down comforter you could imagine. I’m proud to wear this brand and what it stands for!!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1200 mile test To Scotland and back, two weeks bike packing, a 1200 mile adventure and this jacket performed. The jacket packs down into a jersey pocket and wearing the brevet merino jersey with extra roomy pocket this was no trouble at all. Whenever I stopped riding at the end of the day I reached for this jacket, and it remained on until I was back on the bike. A lightweight two season bag at night was enough combined with this really comfortable down jacket which also looks good! This jacket received a complement whilst food shopping (that’s a first for me) So there it is, comfort, style and easily packable it’s earned a permanent place on the packing list!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny. Worth every penny, all of them. It's the perfect jacket when you find yourself at the top of a cold windy mountain about to start an icy decent. I own another high end down jacket, well I thought it was, it's thicker than this but lets double the amount of cold and wind through. I finally now I understand what a quality high end down jacket does. Wouldn't wear this in foul weather, that's when I opt for my weather proof jacket. But this has become my trusty companion on every adventure, from my daily Dublin commutes, to my weekend adventures out in the country side. It's so lightweight I don't even know I'm carrying it.

    Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nope The arms, for a Rapha garment, are super short and the hood leaks air into the neck. I really wanted to like this jacket, it felt light, packed down super small, but for the first time in a long time a Rapha piece of clothing did not feel like a cyclist first product. In a cycling position (road/gravel) the sleeves would ride up midway on my forearm, something I've not experienced from Rapha before. The other thing, if you have the hood on, air seeps down into the neck area, between the buttons, making you lose heat as well as add cool air from the outside.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from A missed opportunity. Very lightweight so it’s good as it’s not too warm to ride in. Perfect for zone 1 or 2 efforts. My big criticism is the cut. It’s a good slim fit so does not need a lot of layers beneath but it’s very short and does not cover your lower back when you are riding.

    Hi I note the jacket has 2 outside zip pockets, does it have any inside pockets?

    There are two "pockets" on the inside that do not have zippers to keep them shut. Personally I use them to hold a phone or keys as I use the outside pockets to keep my hands warm.

    I wear an xxl in the brevet jacket because I like a slightly looser fit. Would I wear the same size in the explore jacket or does it run a little larger?

    The Explore Down Jacket does have a relaxed fit, but you could wear a size XXL if you like it to be larger. We might recommend ordering a size XL and XXL and sending back the one that does not work for you once you have tried them on.

    Hello, I'm normally a small in all pro team jerseys and jackets, and they fit me well with a nice compression fit. I am wondering if the small explore jacket would be too tight or if I should go with a medium? Cheers!

    Pro Team is our most form fitting line. You should be fine to go with a Small in the Explore Jacket as it has a more relaxed fit.
