Excellence
These are superb bibs. I’m 5’9” and 140lbs and wear a small. Bibs have excellent compression and are very comfortable on the bike. The legs are exactly the length I prefer which is fairly long. These seem to be maybe a tad longer that the pro bibs long version. These bibs are light but not cool (temperature) not warm, just regular. My peeves, and they are very minor: why not a black option (although truth be told the navy looks great)? And, the bibs are comfortably high waisted and straps are snug. Not a comfort problem while riding but peeing is a chore with zero chance of peeing while riding!!!
These are excellent bibs. Give them a try.

Lightweight, comfortable, and Tough!
I bought these for the hot and humid summers here in Tokyo. Although pricy, they are lightweight, and even more comfortable than the Pro Team shorts, because of the supportive fit and lack of seams. More impressively, I had the unfortunate opportunity to crash-test them, catapulted off my bike, landing on my hip, breaking my leg. While There was some abrasion under the shorts on my leg, the shorts themselves did not rip and remain as good as new—more than I can say for myself! Oh, regarding fit: I always prefer the long in Pro Team bibs and if anything these are longer but if you prefer shorter shorts, these might not be for you. I am a small in all Rapha bib-shorts and small for these too.

Go no further or go as far as you want
I've ridden just about every type and level of Rapha bib. Although they all perform well, the Powerweave is at another level. I don't think these bibs are going to work for everyone. The material is not as stretchy and forgiving as some of Rapha's other bibs. They are more fitted. For example, I cannot put leg warmers on with these because the fabric doesn't stretch enough to get a warmer underneath. I don't see this a downside. These bibs are not for cold or cool weather. The lack of stretch may prevent these from fitting some cyclists, but if they do fit, you will realize how amazing they are. They feel like your wearing nothing, light as air, and fast. I highly recommend.

Powerweave bibshorts
I was a bit on the fence when I purchased these as they are very light and the pad looked a bit thin , but I was very pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the fit was once I got them on, the legs are a nicely compressed fit and once riding you don’t feel it. I did have to go up one size as the straps are quite tight over the shoulders. I usually wear the the pro team shorts and these succeed them in my opinion, very lightweight and superb for summer riding.

Possibly the best bibs I have ever worn…
Simply put these are incredibly comfortable bibs. The material feels significantly lighter than normal pro team bibs but also stronger and more durable also.
True second skin feel, the pad is super comfy and works on a three hour ride had zero issues at all.
Great hold on the thigh openings also, crotch is super comfy and the straps for me wide enough to be secure. Genuinely felt like these weren’t there most of the time! Pricy but an investment….

Where performance is the priority, these are my fi
Note, the leg is slightly longer, in my estimation than the pro team bibs, so take that on board.
Equally, the front comes up much higher on the abdomen than the pro team, so negotiating one’s person to achieving a position for a quick toilet stop is markedly more of a challenge.
That said…
Technically / just in terms of the user experience, these bibs are a real eye opener in warm conditions, vis a vis managing perspiration.
Disclosure, my job allows me to wear bibs to work, so this difference is huge.
As others have noted, the weight is equally astonishing, they really are palpably featherweight in comparison to other bibs.
Critically, and the point I was most sceptical of prior to purchase, in comfort terms, over and above their perspiration wicking, which impressed me from the first, is the chamois.
It is thinner but it is denser and the comfort on the saddle is sublime.
I’m a rider hovering around 100kg so this is a salient point from my perspective.
To be honest, as an amateur enthusiast, I didn’t think too much about the claims of improved performance via stronger compression, but on this point too, I (and my strava) can honestly attest to the fact that isn’t just hype.
I have no knowledge in the field so I can’t put it in quantifiable terms or objective, data driven or peer reviewed research cited context, but the best way I can sum it up is it feels like something “helping” your legs, as you apply the power to make a big push, for something like an ftp length effort, it literally does feel like more watts come out at the tire on tarmac end, for the same given number of watts generated by one’s body in isolation.

Excellent bibshort
Great bibshorts, very lightweight with good compression. Longer length than the pro team bibs, I ended up sizing up from small in Pro Team to medium in these powerweave.

Fave bibs for warm weather
I originally picked these up with a bundle offer in-store as it nulled the price, but they’ve become the best bibs I own. Near invisible to wear and awesome when the temp climbs faster than I can. Destroyed a pair in an off and now happily pay the RCC discounted full price

We would recommend the same size that you normally wear in the Pro Team Bibs.

We recommend the same size in the Powerweave Bibs as you wear in the Pro Team Bibs.
