  • The new Pro Team Gravel Jersey was developed using insights drawn from our roster of world class gravel riders who compete at the toughest gravel races in the world. One of these athletes was Colin Strickland, who is quoted on the story label within the jersey, but with whom Rapha's relationship has since ended. The jerseys however were manufactured before this happened. We considered at length what the right response would be in light of recent events, but simply getting rid of quality clothing is something we could not do in good conscience. So, we decided to go ahead with the launch and allow it to perform for the purpose it was designed for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! By far best jersey Rapha has ever made in my experience. Light, breathable, comfortable, elegant, it wears like a second thin skin. In light teal colour it looks simply gorgeous. Only downside the zip being not full length makes wearing and unwearing pretty difficult, not recommended for belly and/or too muscled bodies but it’s race fit so it’s fully understandable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb but probably a little misunderstood by some I am mystified by the reviews on this too, I think people may not know what an aero/high compression top is. I am 6ft3 and 110 kilos with a permanently broken shoulder from a crash. Most tops, even in xxl are not really long enough for me, this is is, it fits very well, I would therefore say it doesn’t fit small, it fits large BUT bear in mind it is aero/high compression so although it has the length it will be tight fitting, just not small fitting. Secondly taking it off, I have a lot of triathlons aero stuff it is difficult to get off, even without a broken shoulder, but this I can take of easily with the right technique. Not sayIng it is like a loose cotton T-shirt but again for a high compression aero top it is pretty easy. This is now mY go to jersey for gravel rides, so much so I bought a second one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Pro Fit Jersey A lot of people have complained about the difficulty of putting the jersey on and taking it off. It is more difficult than a normal full zip, however, if you take the few minutes to work out the best method, what you are left with is a painless process. Once you get over this, you are left with a unique jersey where the feel around the stomach is by far the most comfortable and 'pro' I've worn. It makes a very positive difference. The rest of the jersey is best in class. When you love the pro team feel, but find the new Pro Team Aero jerseys a bit much, this fills the gap. My take, buy one. Take the time to work out how to easily put on and take off, then enjoy it. Pockets are excellent. Zipper is excellent. I like the style. The sleeves are... the right length. 100% recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great when on. Pest to put on the first time, the bottom hem is tight. I recommend one arm in, pull over shoulders, then other arm in - if that makes sense. I thought I was going to dislocate my shoulder when I tried to put both arms in simultaneously. I'd recommend practicing putting it on in private - I imagine it looks like the mechanical rhino scene from Pet Detective 2.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Try putting on a wetsuit before you design a shirt Fits nice once it’s on. Not a total fan of the aero sleeve’s. Lots of good air and circulation is nice However… has anyone ever tried putting on a wetsuit or rash guard before?? It basically sucks! Taking it off is something else on top of putting it on after a long day on the bike. Lame design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great, fits great, can't go wrong. Fit is excellent. Tight, but not restrictive. Supportive where it needs to be. Pockets are odd, but once you get used to them, fine. Ignore people not being able to fit into it. Perhaps they need to consider what a pro fit shirt is going to fit like....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Near perfect jersey Near perfect jersey, there are not many performance gravel jerseys out there, sad this is discontinued. The crit jerseys are similar but heard are also being discontinued. The jersey fits tight and aero, has aero sleeves and shoulders and a breathable chest and back, lots of thought went into it. The extra pockets are not necessary, just cause confusion on the trails. A little tricky to get on and off but you get used to it and it seems to loosen up a bit after a few wears. Hope to see similar future products and bibs to match.

Can someone from Rapha explain the reasoning behind a 3/4 zip instead of a full zip?

The high compression the band that wraps from the pockets around the waist acts as a stability belt. With the increased stability it eliminates any concerns of the pockets moving around when riding on rough and rock (gravel) surfaces. With the increased number pockets at the back, we found the need for increased stability and a much more engaged feel.

Does the the Women’s jersey in larger sizes fit men? Just asking because it has a fulll zipper! The 3\4 zipper is a miss on the mens gravel jersey imho…

The women's jersey will also fit men. It is a bit of a different shape than the Men's Jersey, but because these jerseys are tight fitting this should not be an issue. We recommend sizing up from the size you wear in the Men's jersey if you are to purchase this one.

For a long while, I have only purchased flyweight Pro Team jerseys. Is this flyweight or heavier? If so, how heavy/more warm?

This jersey has the Flyweight material on the majority of the front panel and has more of the Aero Jersey material on the arms, back and lower stomach. It will be warmer in the back than you are used to with your Pro Team Flyweight Jersey and is made for mild to warm conditions (60-85 degrees F).
