Description

The Explore Winter Long Sleeve Top is an insulating mid-layer made for exploring in milder conditions or, when paired with a jacket, in cold winter conditions. Made with Polartec® Power Grid™ fabric that is insulative yet highly breathable, the top helps to maintain body temperature and features the same relaxed fit as our long-sleeved Technical T-Shirts for complete freedom of movement when navigating technical sections of trail. Windproof panels on the shoulders and arms further aid temperature regulation and guard against damage. A zipped pocket on the upper arm keeps essentials close to hand while the integrated hanger loop makes drying the top easier after the ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Jersey ever I love the explore/cargo line - hard to believe there was ever another way. This pullover has become my go to this winter and my favorite cycling Jersey period paired with the matching navy cargo winter tights. Beautiful, very odor resistant, wind block panels are more effective in use than I’d have thought from looking at it. Extremely soft, comfortable inside fleecey lining. With a base layer I’ve worn in riding in high 40s lower 50s F which I think is amazing for a Jersey, though I definitely wouldn’t go any colder without a jacket or something in my neck. True to fit, I wear at 5’ 11” 215 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value, multi use. I bought this as a mid-layer to wear under the Brevet Insulated Jacket for the colder months and for mountain biking in the Spring. As a mid layer it’s fantastic. Low bulk but high insulation. It also breathes very well. I’d wear this over a merino long sleeve down to -3c. Only thing worth noting is that it’s long so I have to tuck it under the Brevet jacket. Not an issue. I managed to wear it on the MTB at the weekend. It was fantastic. Around 5 degrees with wind chill and held up nicely with a base layer. The windproof sleeves and shoulders are excellent at deflecting the odd branch as well. I hope that this type of design makes it into the new MTB range.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great shirt a little overpriced even for Rapha I love this shirt and wear it often. That said, it is my first Rapha purchase where I felt it wasn't worth the price. This shirt would be a good value at $125.00 USD. The shirt is comfortable and breathes well. It's cold now where I live and I'm wearing this as a mid layer. I think it will do well as an outer layer in Spring and early Fall. I'm 6'1" and 215lbs and wearing XL comfortably. Most Rapha jerseys I wear are XXL.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, relaxed fit top. This is an interesting addition to the explore range. Really nice fit and comfort (though the wind-proof material in the arms can sound a bit crunchy!). It’s not a base layer so don’t expect to be able to easily and comfortably tuck it into your bib shorts, but as a looser layer it’s really good. I’ll probably use it most in spring on my mountain bike. Can see this, or some derivative becoming part of Rapha’s upcoming MTB range. The price is a bit much though. A sub £100 price tag would be more appropriate I feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goldilocks For those rides when it's too cold for a short sleeve but too warm for a jacket, this is the Goldilocks solution. It has become my go to for winter and early spring riding. The windblock on the sleeves does its job and also adds protection for those riding single track where a stray branch might snag your arm.

Are the sizes M / L etc in this Pullover comparable to the M / L in the Men's Logo Hoodie? Generally I go for a L in Jerseys (Core & Classic) but the Logo Hoodie fits perfectly in a M.

We would recommend size Medium for you. The fit is closer to the Logo Hoodie than our Jerseys. As always we have a free returns policy should you need to return the item to us.

I don’t find the hip and waist measurements very relevant for a jumper but sleeve (and to a lesser extent body) length would be invaluable (as I’m afraid most Rapha long sleeved items are too short for me - I am 6’5” with long arms!)

You will be able to find the sizing guide in Chest, Waist and Hips on the item page. because fit is not just dependent on height but mostly on each body shape and customer's personal preference to how customer's prefer garments to fit, it is hard for us to be exact in sizing advice. If you are unsure we have a free 30 day return policy so you can order multiple sizes and then return the one that doesn't fit as good.

Is the fit of this pullover like that of the technical T-shirts?

The fit is more relaxed, like a technical t-shirt, as opposed to a jersey.
