Great bag for training ridesTraining every day, all year round, in a temperate country means you're going to need to carry a waterproof top or race cape with you. Sure you can stuff your expensive rain jacket in your back pocket and risk losing it. You can strap it to the back of your saddle, but that might damage the material. Or, you can buy one of these nifty little bags, and just go get on with your ride.
The Rapha Explore Bar Bag is well made. Colourful. Lightweight compared to other bar bags, and holds a jacket, with your mobile, and a debit card with ease. I wouldn't be without it. Great buy.

Stylish bar bagLike the style of this bag and the range of available colours. Not ideal that the waist strap is not removable. Appreciate the zip cover to protect from water, but it is very tough to open and close. This may change in time as the bag is used more. Would advise this is more for stop and access the bag than on the go cycling and trying to get food etc. out at the same time.

Prefer the old versionMuch prefer the older version. Biggest issue I have with this new version of the bag is the zipper, it’s hooded and impossible for me to unzip or zip up with one hand whilst on the bike. Additionally the Velcro strap is attached to the back surface of the bag (rather than the top previously) which means I can no longer mount anything (GoPro or lights) underneath my out-front quadlock mount and I suspect you would have this problem with all other bike computer mounts as well. I know some ppl prefer Velcro attachment for the handlebar but I personally preferred the previous buckle attachment system as it’s so much quicker to take on and off the bike. This bag has also lost the 2 x internal slot pockets and subsequently I have difficultly finding a secure spot for my spare GoPro battery and memory card. Unfortunately I think this new bag took away all the things I liked about the previous bag that had made it distinct from all others out in the market. It is now similar to many other bags out there but don’t think it’s better than the other alternatives. This bag has now been relegated to the upright urban ebike as I don’t think it works well with road or gravel bikes for the above reasons.

Disappointing BagBar strap is much better than on the older bar bag. Velcro means is doesn't immediately work loose. However, internal organising and the fixed strap aren't great. Elastic string thing that goes round the headset/steerer is very poor. Zips average. The old bar bag if changed to velcro straps would be better.

Could be betterA nicely sized bar bag with decent straps. It is also fairly light. The zip is extremely poor though, as the zipper is unable to negotiate the corners at each end of the zip. It is thus virtually impossible to open the bag fully, and one cannot use the full length of the zip.

Simple to install, use and good sizeSimple to install, use and good size
Things I like:
- Installation - very simple, and even with the simplicity, it feels rock solid with hardly any wiggle.
- Ease of use - zips are covered to keep the rain out, but the oversized pulls mean they can be opened while riding if needed. And even semi full, they slide well so can be opened with one hand without needing to hold the other side of the bag
- The bag itself - Fabric feels tough and robust, and the bag is big enough to stuff my big winter gloves in plus phone and keys and room to spare.
Things I would improve:
- Nothing so far, but haven't used it in all that many situations yet

Nice little bagIt’s like a little duffle bag. Two zippers, two compartments. I bought a Rapha bar bag recently for significantly less cash and liked it better because it is sturdier and better organized. I feel the other bag is better and more affordable.

The main zipper is a bit fiddly. The main zipper is a bit fiddly. It's difficult to close it all the way. Most of the times, I find my self pushing and pulling the fabric so I can close it again. The bag seems to be well built.
Hi, is the DWR treatment fluorocarbon free? (free of PFCs, PFAS, etc.) I see another person asked about 10 months ago and never received a reply, but I have the same question. Thanks!

Has anyone tried to store a Sony A7 with a small lens in this bag? I'm trying to find a bag for my camera that is as small as possible but not too tight.
Asked by: ErikP
Not that we are aware of.
We recommend checking the dimensions of your camera and lens vs the dimensions of the bar bag.
You may find the dimensions below.
Width: 25.5cm
Height: 13.5 cm
Depth: 9.5 cm
Please note; this bar bag is not padded on the inside.
