Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice Big fan of lace-ups and Rapha so the worlds have finally converged and we now have this shoe. The quality and finish is very high-end. The white version looks clean & crisp on the bike. I could do without the contrasting velcro strap, but hey it's part of the Rapha style. The fit is voluminous running 1/4-1/2 size larger than what I'm used to, but very very comfortable. Heel is tight, but not overly so. The rubber sole covering is a really nice touch - a thoughtful solution to a real world problem. The cleat markings do leave a bit to be desired and the laces are way too long, but no major faults to be found.

I had been having problems with cycling shoes putting pressure on my bike toe and becoming very uncomfortable during the ride, plus causing bruising to the nail. I had been looking for a shoe that looked stylish but also had a roomier toe and these have been perfect. Really comfortable and the grey is a great colour rather than a severe black - white is just too impractical in Yorkshire conditions. The shoes are also easy to wipe clean after every ride so are maintaining their looks. Also like they have reflectors build in for added rider safety. Finally much lighter than I was expecting and laces easy to tuck away. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy looks and performance Massive improvement on fit over previous climbers shoe - for me at least. Slightly lower heel support is more comfortable and the pacing allows you to get the fit just how you want it. I have never had to stop and re-tie these on a ride. Appreciate its not a full carbon sole but it’s plenty stiff enough for long days in the saddle. So far it has been really resistant to marking up too. Overall look are very classy, (yellow and white versions owned) the reflective strap and heel are nice touches. Even at full price these are very competitively prices, in the sale they were an absolute steal. Fit comes up standard to normal footwear, no need to size up or down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very classy shoes As soon as I saw these where in the pipeline I knew I wanted a pair. The white with the black stripe is very stylish and the choice of laces (black or white) adds to overall package. A nice draw string bag is also included. As for fit, I had to go up a half size compared to my other shoes. The fit is very snug, but in a good way that is very comfortable. The insole is customisable with a choice of two arches. Speedplay cleats fit without any changes to the shims. Overall I am very happy with these shoes and would definitely recommend them to anybody.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look Flash and be Comfortable Had these shoes now for approx 2 weeks. Felt abit tight to walk in at first, but the lace system allows you to regulate the pressure on the foot. Afterall, these aren't walking shoes. On the bike however, after about a kilometer, you hardly even notice you have them on. Super comfy, light and very solid out of the saddle under pressure with little to no flex. Love the non slip sole, which is also a winner. Takes the cake for looks. Great looking shoe, but hey the white sure is white lol! Price is fantastic also. Top line shoe no doubt about it. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great and VERY comfortable! I found this shoe to be incredibly stiff yet very comfortable. There is plenty of toe/forefoot volume which I personally look for. The two pairs of laces supplied are strong and stay put, once tied (single knot) and secured under the lace holder. They appear durable and are comfortable to walk in. They do not appear to lose any snugness over the course of a ride. There is no rubbing around the ankle and no hot spots on my foot. I received the black pearl color and find them absolutely stunning! I would buy this shoe again. I think the only thing I would note is; the hook and loop strap (in my opinion) does not control much adjustment in volume up front but none is really needed for my situation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Elegant, simple, very good, could use improvement After years of velcro straps and Boa ties, I decided that I wanted good old fashioned laces, and truthfully, I find them better and overall they make for a more elegant shoe. That said, these (white) are SHINY, dancing shoes shiny, some may like that, but I wish they were a tad less shiny. More importantly, however, is that the material isn't supple so when I pull tight on the laces, I don't get the feel of support and conformity that I'd like. They're good, almost great, but not quite there, although they are better than many other shoes out there. That said, other colors/finishes of this shoe, may have a different upper, which does indeed conform to the foot better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spring Classic There are a lot of reviews that talk about personal preferences and not product (ie. if the person prefer laces or not). I will try to set my personal preferences aside, and hope this is helpful for fellow customers, as well as for product improvement. FIT: Normal. More room in the toe-box than previous versions (both the GT and Climbers). Roomier compared to Empire SLX, and not so far from S-Works Sub 6's actually. Sug heel cup without being uncomfortable. UPPER: Soft and comfy with good support around the foot. No pinching points (may be just me that has been lucky), almost no need to wear in. STIFFNESS: More than stiff enough. I note that one review says that the shoe is stiffer than Empire SLX's or Sub 6's. Almost heart-warming naive. They're not. But on the other hand, I do not think they should be nor do I expect them to be. LOOKS: 11/10. The goat. DETAILS: Laces feel marginally smoother and a bit more forgiving than other lace up shoes. They retain pressure equally well though, and that is the most important thing. Protective cover of the shoe is practical when you café stop, or take nature breaks (in a Pro Team version one would of course expect this to be removed due to weight optimization, but in a Classic version I really rate the practicality). Velcro strap has room for improvement - they do not take in the volume of the lower part of the shoe in as much as people with narrow feet deserves. Buckle colour detail is nice though. SUMMARY: All in all a great overall shoe, which I think nails it for what it is trying to be - a "Classic" shoe. It is doing just what it is supposed to - well. Keep in mind the shoe is named "Classic" and not "Pro Team". Some seems to forget so. Anyways.

Hi, is the 43.5 size wider than the 43?  In terms of length, the 43 is fine, however it is too tight across the forefoot (my pinky toe feels slightly too tight).  I am unsure if the 43.5 is simply a little longer or whether it is also slightly wider? Ta

The size 43.5 will be slightly larger all around than the 43. The change in width will be minimal, but it will be just a bit wider.
