Possibly my best ever purchase
Let's be clear, I'm not a professional and I dont race (except for Zwift) and time has turned me from a sleek young bike rider into a fully fledged mamil. But as I've aged I've bought many (many) items of clothing, some very good, some swiftly returned for a refund. These shoes are possibly my best ever purchase. The fit is exceptional, a really stiff sole with an incredibly comfortable upper that both hugs and flexes at the same time. I don't think it's a coincidence the PRs have fallen every time I ride with these shoes. Oh yes and they look stunning.

Incredible shoes!
I have long used both a pair of Rapha climbers and classic shoes on my bike, both of which I have been very happy with. But the Pro Team shoes are on another level. As soon as you sink your feet into them, you can tell how much work has gone into the build of these beautiful shoes. I wondered whether they would lack in comfort because the soles are so stiff but somehow, I think they are comfortable than my climbers, which I use most of the time. I love all Rapha products but every now and again, they treat us to a game changer but of kit... this is one of them.

Good, but not great!
As the title states, good, but not great. Why? They are a perfectly good pair of cycling shoes, doing everything well, but there's nothing special about them. There's nothing bad about that, but I was expecting more having already owned and ridden the Rapha Classic shoes. My biggest disappointmen is the heel cup. It just doesn't grab like the the laced version of the Classics. Both shoes are the same size, but the Pro Team just has a little less heel grap. As expected, the Boa dial works well. I got them in black, and I should have gone for the purple!
Otherwise they are fine, and would still recommend them. I also have ridden them in 25ºC weather while in Florida and they seemed to manage the heat quite well.

Not as good as the GT shoes?
These are stylish shoes, and I find the power weave fabric and sole to promise excellent stiffness and fit. I've worn in 25 decree C plus temperatures, and not experienced any overheating. But I find I keep having to adjust the BOA dials - not sure if this is because they are working loose, or just that I need to get used to them.
However, like others, I also experience the tongue slipping down as I ride - especially so under harder efforts. This is annoying and causes discomfort. Because of this I find myself instead going back to my old GT shoes, which fit perfectly and remain so throughout even the longest rides. The issue might be specific to different shapes of feet, but without resolving the tongue issue I can't see these shoes getting much use. Which is a shame.

Awesome shoes except one problem.
I bought these shoes the first day Rapha made them available and love how they look and feel. The fit is great and true to size. Quality is exceptional as you would expect from Rapha. My only problem is the tongue of the shoe has a tendency to work its way down toward the toe of the shoe while riding. This creates a bunching up of the tongue that rubs the top of your foot. I find myself constantly having to adjust this while riding. I emailed customer service for a solution to the problem. Unfortunately, there isn't a solution but they graciously offered to take the shoes back and give me a credit. However, I liked the shoes enough to keep them anyway. I might see if I can get a shoe repair shop to stitch the tongue in place to solve the problem. Hopefully Rapha will address the issue in future versions.

Look as good as they feel
This was my first pair of high end cycling shoes and they were worth every cent. They are very stiff as others have mentioned but not in an uncomfortable way. I read a few reviews about the tongue slipping but this hasn’t happened to me at all - I don’t notice the shoes. They’ve almost removed my pins and needles (unless I do them too tight) and they are super comfy. When new, I had a pressure point on one side but after a couple of weeks it went away. I’ve got super high arches and relatively wide feet for their size. Plus they look AMAZING. Highly recommend.

Amazing Shoes... But had to return...
Bought my normal size 42. When initially trying they felt spot on, comfy, no 'hotspots' and the right amount of toe room. Once I got on the bike though I found that my foot kept trying to move forward in the shoe. Doing the Boa's up tighter then caused hotspots against my feet and I wasn't comfortable. Not to be beaten I bought a 41.5... Too small with big toe just touching the end of the toebox. So sadly both returned. If they fit you though they are great for the price when compared to various other brands and amazing looking shoes, just not for me I'm sad to say.

Superlative. (ish)
If you have a wide foot, this shoe may not be for you. Seems to run small and narrow. Previously wore Sidi for several years in 45 and I have never had to order a WIDE shoe but had to size down to 44.5 in the Rapha shoe. Very much a light weight shoe, the weave/knit material is comfortable and breaks in fairly fast. I feel that the shoe is a 4 out of 5 because it really is almost a shoe for people with narrow feet and that the sizing used is rather off just a little, almost enough to be problematic.

Great shoe with a few caveats....
First, these shoes are gorgeous. They are also quite comfortable with no hot spots or rubbing on the 10 or so rides I have done since receiving them. I love the Boas and their ability to micro-adjust, even while riding, and they make taking the shoes off a cinch.
That said, there are a few important things to watch out for. Make sure you look closely at the sizing chart. My previous Sidis were a bit tight in a 43, so I ordered these in a 43 and they feel too big. I should have gone for the half size 42.5. Like some other reviewers, I have also experienced the tongue slipping forward and bunching. Sadly, Rapha does not accept returns once you've installed your cleats.
Lastly, the fabric on these shoes (albeit beautiful) has the potential to get really dirty, really fast, especially the white model. Don't let them come into contact with your tires, or any road grime. I think wet weather riding is out of the question with these (in white) and god help you if they come into contact with chain grease.
Otherwise, I think Rapha nailed these things!

Excellent shoes up there with my Lakes and S-works 7 Boa fits. Lovely and light in size 44. I was a bit worried they would be to tight but after a few rides they feel great so far. So they match the same sizing of 44 on my other shoes. Green colour way stands out and is nice difference to the boring white or black all the weekend warriors wear. White shoes on Auckland roads is not the best idea. Only small issue I have is fitting them on. You have to wind the Boa dial right out. where as the S7 you can disconnect the wire across your foot bridge to fit on. Would recommend true to size fit. Not sure yet how they handle the hot humid Auckland summers.

Slightly disappointed so far!
I have been using an entry level shoe from Specialized for the last 2 years with Velcro straps. All my other kit is Rapha and have had my eye on the pro team shoes for a bit and decided to go for them and treat myself to a decent pair of shoes.
First impression when unboxing was great, Rapha do know how to make a product feel special! Spent a bit of time adjusting cleat position on the turbo and the road until I was happy. Decided to go for the high arch support after about 100miles of riding as well as I felt I needed a bit more in that area.
Still not 100% comfortable in them at the moment though. Feel like I get hot spots and pinch points at the moment. I’m hoping that as time goes on they start to give a bit.
The thing I’m most worried about though is the lack of air flow! There is no ventilation on the tongue or sole. I would say these shoes may even be unwearable in the summer! Really am disappointed and stunned at how little air manages to pass through a material shoe!
They look great but sadly seem to style over substance!

Bought out of curiosity, now I am only riding them
The feel is nice. I bought a half size up compared to my usual Giro shoes. I really enjoy the look and the comfort also on long rides in hot weather. We'll see how it goes when they get dirty during winter time or when it rains. Still unsure about the Powerwave material. I am a sucker for Rapha product but I have always been disappointed by their shoes. I was currently using Giro Imperial and Shimano S-Phyre then tried these and now I am only using these. I really enjoy them. Satisfied so far. Cheers.

Nice fit but not for hot weather
Shoes fit really well but with no ventilation and not drainage I would not recommend them for hot climate riding, unless riding with shoes full of sweat is your thing. They are absolutely beautiful though.
Unfortunately the lack of ventilation and drainage is not mentioned in product description genes why 3 stars.

Finally found some shoes that fit!
I have tried on so many different shoes over the last few months and due to having different shaped feet it’s been a big struggle. My right small toe is much bigger than the left so most shoes rub on the right side.
The pro teams fit out of the box. Decent sized toe box means and woven upper means they mould round my feet with no discomfort. They are super stiff and in the purple colour they look incredible.
I was recommended a 40.5 on the shoe guide but the 41 fit much better.
Cant wait to get some summer miles on them.

Not great in warm and humid conditions
Look of the shoes is great, really comfortable and really good support. The only challenge is in warm weather they aren’t breathable at all. With the weave, full carbon sole and no drainage it doesn’t take long before you can pushing down into a pool of your own sweat; not a great feeling.

Good but a detail to be improved.
The shoe tongue is to long, when using it slides down and create unaesthetic depression the the bottom part of it. Very a small detail but really disappointed. Moreover the white material is quite impossible to keep it clean.

Ok but not my fave shoes
Ok but not what I’d hoped for. The tongues don’t stay put, meaning they crease up uncomfortably on longer rides and I’m constantly having to adjust them. Look great, nice and light and stiff, but not sure they really work for my feet comfort wise. And don’t get white. I should have known, but they’re impossible to keep clean.

Good shoe, but......
The shoes is comfortable and great looking but has 2 flaws first the front is a type of fabric which will inevitably get dirty especially if you're foot rubs on your tire ad 2 the shoe tongue folds and wants to drop down. 2 issues that are avoidable if thought through. So I know I will be cleaning this shoe more than others I have.

Amazing Shoes
These are my new favorite cycling shoes, a position previously held by my Rapha classics. The Boa adjustment is perfect and the overall fit is great. Super power transfer with stiff soles which manage to still be comfortable. My only minor complaint is that the heel cup could be a little bit deeper. I know that some reviewers have complained about the tendency for the tongues to bunch up but this is so minor as to be negligible. I got these in purple and they look awesome.

Outstanding Shoes
I hesitated in buying these shoes due to some reviews stating the ‘tongue slips’ and a ‘narrow fit’. I have wide feet and the soft fabric blends around my feet making them very comfortable. I think they will fit all foot shapes. The stiff soles gave me an immediate increase in Watts. The shoes tightening up snugly. The sizing is very accurate. They are by far the best shoes I’ve ever worn.

Super comfy shoes
really extremely comfortable shoes, the soft mesh is nicely folding around your feet. My size seems to be between 42 and 42.5, so settled for the larger option. Return service worked smoothly. During the ride, there always seems the need to readjust slightly, but which is not a problem with boa system. They are light, I hope they let enough air through when temperatures rise, as they have no holes under the soles. And they look stunning in the pinkish version!

Exceptional shoes
I bought these shortly after they were released. I had the previous Rapha pro-team shoes, and I have also had the last two iterations of a certain shoe that Chris Froome wears. In short, these shoes are better than all of the others I just referred to. They are exceptionally light and very comfortable. The build quality is very high and the carbon fibre sole is very stiff. The boa dials are exactly what these shoes needed and the fit is that terrific combination of tight and supportive. While it is early days, the fabric seems very hard-wearing and feels a lot more durable than the material that the earlier rendition of the pro team shoes were made from (which, frankly, was a little delicate). My only criticism of the shoe relates to the cleat position markings on the sole. I did not really find the markings particularly helpful in ensuring left and right alignment, and in positioning the cleat on the sole. But this just meant it took a little longer on the trainer to set up and wasn't that big a deal in the scheme of things. In terms of sizing, I am a UK size 9, (US 10). My previous pro-team shoes were a 44 (which fit well) and my other shoes were a 45. I bought these in a 44 and they fit perfectly. They aren't cheap, but you won't regret buying these.

Very comfortable and fit well
I am an older cyclist recently returned to road cycling. After a 10 year hiatus, I needed all new gear. I found Rapha bib shorts and jerseys fit well and were well made. Based on my experience with the clothing, I purchased the Pro Team shoes in black. The shoes are very comfortable and fit true to size (42 for me) I find they breathe well too. The weave does gather dust, but is easy to clean. The BOA dials are very nice and allow micro adjustment on the fly. Would buy again.

I love these shoes!
I was in the market for new road shoes because my feet changed shape and size, rendering my 5-year old Bontrager Velocis and Fizik R3's a tad too small. I was coming from those two pairs of shoes fitting me like a glove and performing splendidly and was hoping to achieve the same in new shoes. My Rapha pro team shoes have been a huge success in this regard. The heel cup is nice and snug, there is good room across the ball of my foot, and they felt like slippers from the first try-on. There has been no break-in period whatsoever. I ordered the black, and they look seriously gorgeous on top of the great fit. They are really stiff, which I like. My only complaint is that I prefer to wear white road shoes, but wasn't willing to buy these in white due to the potential problems with keeping them clean. I am hoping for Rapha to come out with a version of this shoe whose fabric is easier to wipe down and de-grit and offer it in a nice pristine all-white colour option.

Great

Converted from a lifelong Sidi customer
After wearing Sidi for over 25 years, I started having discomfort in my foot. I decided to try the Rapha Classic lace up shoes to see if they would help (also wanted to give a lace up shoe a try) with the overall tightness and pain in the forefoot. I loved those so much, I decided to buy the Pro Team shoes for my more serious rides. They are simply amazingly comfortable. It really is that simple. No more foot pain and both shoes are a delight to wear. Nothing against Sidi, but maybe they are getting narrower over time. The Rapha shoes have truly converted me.

Don’t purchase there shoes
The rubber heal plate fell off after 2weeks and despite calls to Rapha over the past 2 months , no response or resolution. The shoes fit true to size and if the service/replacement was proper, I would recommend them. Probably best to not purchase as they are very expensive

Superbly well designed shoes
These shoes are absolute game changers. I have been doing longer rides this year culminating with my first double century and have been suffering with hot foot issues that became excruciating. I tried a few well known brands shoes before buying a pair of these and I so wish I had bought these earlier. They are superbly designed both aesthetically and functionally and are, by far, the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The ability to make micro adjustments on the move is a huge benefit. Whilst I have not completely got rid of my hot foot issues it only happens after 6-8 hours in the saddle now in stead of 1-2 hours with other shoes and is easily relieved by loosening off the boa fasteners. These shoes are not cheap but they out perform shoes that are more expensive. They look very cool in orange too.
