Cycling with Character.
25 January 2022When we returned to the men's professional peloton back in 2019, we knew we didn’t want to partner with any old pro team. The professional sport can be stifling at times but with the packed roster of charismatic riders on board at EF Education-EasyPost, we knew we could shake the sport up.

Three seasons later, we’ve taken to the podium at some of the world’s most prestigious races, from de Ronde to la Vuelta; we’ve explored a raft of new places with our alternative calendar series; and in so doing we’ve taken the sport of cycling to a new fans in all corners of the planet.
In 2022, we’re looking forward to more of the same, with some fresh faces to add to our cast of familiar ones. As usual, Lachlan Morton will be living a double life as a WorldTour pro turned endurance racer. And this year, he’ll be taking more of his teammates along with him.
ÂAlongside tempting opportunities for time trialists and sprinters, this year’s route features six mountain stages that promise to put climbers through their paces. After unveiling another stirring switch-out kit at the Grande Partenza in Hungary, EF riders will need to wage a three-week offensive on their way to a time trial finish in Verona.
The 109th edition of the world’s greatest race is set to be steep. Covering four mountain ranges across six stages, riders will face 29 climbs in the second, first, and hors categorie classifications – including a return to the 21 bends of L'Alpe d'Huez. For EF, all eyes are on Colombian rock star Rigoberto Urán, who’s still looking to best his 2017 second-place finish.
The last of this year’s Monuments, and a traditional end to many a pro’s WorldTour race schedule, Il Lombardia is arguably the most prestigious of cycling’s one-day spectacles. With a string of DNFs to his name and a home crowd behind him, could 2022 be the year for Italian Alberto Bettiol to grace the podium at the Tour of Lombardy?
