The Women’s Classic Winter Jacket is our most versatile bad-weather jacket, redesigned for the needs of the modern rider. An evolution of our Classic Softshell and Hardshell, it is the ideal garment for winter base miles, with the ability to withstand the harshest conditions on any kind of ride. Cut from Polartec® Power Shield Pro® fabric, it combines wind and waterproofing with incredible breathability, efficiently transferring moisture vapour away from the skin while keeping the elements at bay. Added underarm zips allow for increased ventilation when the temperature, or the intensity, rises.
Designed to be used across a range of winter temperatures as part of a layering system, the Classic Winter Jacket features hi-vis detailing for riding in low light, as well as taped seams, waterproof zips and elastane inner cuffs to keep you comfortable and dry, whatever the weather.

Run the tape around the narrowest part of your waist holding the tape horizontally.

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest point of the hip, keeping the tape measure horizontal.

Super stylish jacket with bizarre fit issues
I've been wearing this on rides in Toronto, Canada for the past month (in temps from +2C down to -8C) and I must admit I'm very impressed with how I stay warm and dry without becoming too sweaty and cold. The jacket seems to lift away moisture from my skin as I warm up. As with all things Rapha, the styling is impeccable. HOWEVER, I must take away one star due to the absolutely bonkers sizing. I'm 5'4" and I weigh 110 pounds. Given that I own Rapha jerseys in S and XS, I ordered both sizes and tried them on while wearing a fitted base layer and LS Rapha jersey. Both the S and XS were so big and roomy around the shoulders and chest that I was concerned about a) looking like a slob and b) letting the cold wind penetrate into the gappy parts. I returned and requested a XXS. It fits perfectly around the chest and shoulders and sleeve length. However, it's so snug on my wrists that I either have to wrestle it with difficulty over my warm and sweaty hands at the end of a ride, or I have to slide it off while turning the sleeves inside out, which is slightly awkward. More problematic: the close fit around the waist makes it difficult for me to fully load up the jacket pockets or the pockets of my jersey underneath without stressing out the zipper. Rapha, please work on consistency in sizing. When I'm paying for luxury products, I don't wish to sacrifice fit, form or function.

Fab Waterproof Jacket.
I bought this jacket a few weeks ago after previous zips in other winter jackets
( not Rapha) have broken.
I was so pleased with this jacket especially after on a club ride a lorry overtook me right near a massive puddle, I looked at the water just running of the jacket without even feeling the cold water which I was expecting.
I highly recommend this jacket, waterproof, windproof and lovely and warm without feeling uncomfortably hot.

Great in rain & snow
Very nice and warm jacket, usse it every day commuting 32 km. The only minus is the placement of the zipper. its in the right side, which is very annoying and for no reason. Reflexes on the front and back would also be nice. Change that, and the jacket would be perfect!

Great quality but fit is’nt that good
The jacket is great for cold and wet weather, keeps you toasty warm and dry but the size is a bit large around the shoulders whereas it is good around the torso which is not that great for aerodynamics.

A 20/10!
If this jacket isn't on your wish list it should be. I got it to extend my winter riding season and it has been exceeding my expectations. It is worth the investment. I have taken it out in both cold and windy conditions and remained nice and warm. I love zippers under the arms.

According to the measurements a large would be a perfect fit, but if I were to wear layers underneath, would you advise a size up?
