The Classic Jersey was the first ever Rapha product to launch and epitomised the brand’s mission to create the finest cycling garments possible. 12 years later Rapha have reimagined the jersey, retaining its essential qualities of absolute comfort and function, but making it even better. The main component of this evolution is the fabric. Called RPM150 (Rapha Performance Merino, the 150 indicates grams per square metre), it is a proprietary material milled specifically and only for Rapha. It is lighter, softer and more breathable than generic merino-blends, adaptable to many conditions. The construction of the jersey has also improved with a reworked fit and sections bonded rather than stitched. This reduces weight and bulk even further.
About the new RPM150 fabric
Rapha Performance Merino 150 or RPM150 (the 150 indicates grams per square metre) has been created to be the most versatile cycling fabric in the world. With a lighter weight than before for more conditions and climates, it has improved next-to-skin softness and comfort. Helping your body breathe in hot conditions and insulating when the temperature drops, this fabric is a product of Rapha’s tireless R&D to create the world’s best cycling apparel.

I've worn this jersey 2-3 times a week for the past month on both serious and casual rides. The fit is a little perplexing. My body type is hourglass, and typically jerseys hug me in my natural waist while being snug (but not too tight) in the shoulders, bust and hips. This jersey is almost too tight in the shoulders and bust, loose in my waist and hips. Beware if you have a wide shoulders or a D-cup or larger that your normal jersey size might be too small, but that the bottom of the jersey might have too much room.

Relaxed fit, great fabric but strange fit
I bought this because I was fed up with other jerseys which were just a bit too 'figure-hugging' for a (fit) 54-year-old woman. I am usually a size 10, with a small bust but a broad back. The fabric is gorgeous and the fit is certainly looser than any other mediums I have tried -in fact, I might go for a small next time. The body is longer than I would have liked and it does have a 'bulge' when in riding position. Overall, quality and material are fantastic, but fit is slightly long and would be more of a size 12, I reckon.

Very well made!!
I thought the merino wool would be hot and thick but it was ok. I ride in very hot humid weather. The jersey runs big, I wear a small (5'5 114 lbs) but had to order an xs.

Comfortable and a nice cut
I bought a classic II and a core jersey at the same time and, whilst both are great, the classic II is far superior. It has a very nice cut and does not sit too tight, but is also not baggy with a lot of excess material flapping around. The fabric is soft on the skin without being hot, and the attention to the small details is excellent (eg. the zip pocket at the back seems to be sweat proof so any cash you are carrying without a plastic wallet stays dry).

Beautiful Jersey.
I bought this Jersey and the small was too big. It was such an easy process to exchange to a XS. It fits beautifully and feels like I am not wearing anything. The fabric is also beautiful!

Perfect fit
Love it after a bit of hesitation as Rapha is a bit expensive I'm so glad I purchased this as it is so soft and fits perfectly. I ordered the small, I'm usually a size 10.

Beautiful Jersey!
This jersey is beautiful and breathes better than other jerseys from other brands. The merino blend feels amazing and it looks great. I got the navy and pink version and found the colours to be a little bit more bright in person, online the colours look somewhat muted.

I have XLs in the pro team training and crit jerseys, which I think may be more fitted. Would you recommend to stay with XL or switch to L for this jersey?
I would recommend sticking to the same size across all ranges. If XL in the Pro Team range fits well, then stick with XL.

is this suitable for hot weather?
Hi, as we all regulate temperatures different it can be hard to say. The Classic Jersey II works well for a range of temperatures and seasons. The Super Lightweight Jersey is made for high tempo riding in extreme heat.

I am 5'9-10" tall and weigh 138 lbs, my bust is 34 D. Which size do you recommend? Also, does this jersey really require ironing if it is hung to dry?
Hi, please refer to our size guide for a more accurate measurement. With the information provided, we would recommend to try a small. We do have a 90 days return period should you wish to change size. As per the washing instructions we do recommend a warm iron to remove any deep creases.

Is the cutting of new classic jersey smaller than previous design?! how much difference would be?!
Hi, The construction of the jersey has been improved with a reworked cut making the jersey less bulky and slightly more fitted than the original jersey.
