Lightweight insulation in club colours

Riders and racers looking for warmth in cold conditions often have to compromise on speed by wearing a bulky, protective jacket. Not so with the all new RCC Pro Team Insulated Jacket, a close-fitting, cold weather outer layer, which uses Polartec’s extraordinary Alpha insulation, for class-leading warmth without the volume of traditional down. It is highly breathable, ensuring you don’t overheat during harder efforts, and fast-drying and hydrophobic, meaning the jacket won’t hold moisture like natural down insulation. A DWR-coated, windproof front keeps your chest warm, while the stretch fabric on the back ensures a great fit, as well as letting body heat out. The jacket has three pockets on the back for storing valuables, and the double-ended Vislon zip provides easy access to your jersey pockets or to help you regulate body temperature. Whether you’re training hard or warming-up pre-race, this is a game-changing product, available in RCC colours exclusively to club members.

Body sizing

Arm length: measure from where the seam would start at shoulder to bottom of the wrist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great winter jacket! What others write on the forum, I actually think that the fit of this jacket is fantastic! On the arms is a bit wide but that is just the good for the sweat on the arms. For me a ideal companion for hilly cold rides because the jacket is super light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new Go To winter jacket Did me proud getting through the Rapha Festive 500 with the only caveat that I found the fit slightly smaller than usual for a Rapha size Large which may be due to the double zip. Definitely my new Go To winter jacket with added bonus of making me lay off the cakes !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RCC Insultated Jacket Great piece of kit. But go for 1 or 2 sizes up. Keeps you warm without sweating on long ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent. Rapha does it again! On first ride with this over Christmas in zero degrees I made the mistake of wearing a winter base layer under and a Gilet over the top. After 15 mins I was too hot and had to remove the Gilet for the remainder of the ride. Excellent warmth, stylish and great material. You do not feel the wind or cold with this on. I normally wear a large in Rapha tops but needed extra large with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1st class. This jacket is perfect for the Canadian winter riding condition around Squamish and Vancouver. First class product. Highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic features, strange fit In terms of the insulating capabilities, 5 stars. Despite being a really lightweight product, the temperature regulation is absolutely perfect — whether doing solid aerobic work or threshold intervals, I am never too warm or cold. Really nice feel and flawless design. In terms of fit, 2-3 stars. As others have also written, the fit of this product is (in my opinion) entirely different from any other Rapha product, almost as if a mistake occurred during production. The lower arms are tight and snug, but too short. The upper arms are huge (and for cyclists, this is really noticeable), baggy and loose, detracting from the style and functionality. The abdomen is snug — more snug than normal. The shoulders are cut in the same form-fitting style as other products. The jacket flaps and vibrates constantly, which is even more annoying given that the sound is coming from right next to the ears… The overall fit of the jacket is smaller than other items. Pro Team are usually cut race tight, but this is even tighter. I would recommend this jacket in a heartbeat for its insulation, comfort and beautiful aesthetic — but I would also give fair warning as to the baggy/tight/flappy cut, very unusual for a Pro Team product from Rapha.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features Lightweight, temperature regulation and protection from wind are superb. Bought size LARGE (I'm 1m72) which fits me fine, - upper arms are indeed a bit loose.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not quiet the same I bought this jacket as I thougt it would be the RCC version of the brevet insulated jacket which I bought earlier and was very satisfied with. The RCC insulated jacket I turned out to be less satisfying. Although it has a zipper in both directions and back pockets which is an inprovement compared to the brevet one, the fit is different. The uppercut arms are much to big and make and irritating noise when riding in the wind. I also had to change M for L as M was to tight around the waist. Conclusion : I would have preferred it to be more like the brevet insulated jacket in RCC colours and with the zipper in both ways and back pockets. It insulates fine.

hi, Would you say that this jacket is warmer that the pro team training jacket?

Asked by: Ashley08
Hi, the Pro Team Insulated Jacket is warmer and better for long cold weather winter rides. The Pro Team Training Jacket is better for high tempo winter riding, such as short fast rides or race training.

Do the sleeves have the same "fleece like" insulation that the torso portion does? or is the insulation only on the torso?

Asked by: s65j
Hi, the upper part of the sleeves have the exposed Alpha insulation as well as the front panels. Back & under arms have a stretch fabric without insulation for improved ventilation.

Roughly what temperature ranges is this jacket intended for?

Asked by: London via Berlin
As we all regulate temperature differently it is hard to advice on the temperature range for individuals and differing exertion levels will also affect its properties. This is also dependent on choice of layers used. If you were to use this jersey with a merino base layer, it would be perfect for rides between 5-10 degrees, but if you were to ride in colder temperatures then you may be better off with a deep winter base layer underneath.

Are the sleeves windproof and DWR too?

Asked by: dirksen1
Hi, the front panels of the sleeves are the same as the front panels of the jacket, both windproof and DWR treated.
