The Rapha Classic Winter Jersey offers a comfortable balance of insulation, windproofing and breathability. Designed for cold to freezing conditions, the jersey is cut from a soft, warm, heavyweight, merino-rich fabric and has windproof panels in the chest. Zipped vents below the arms help to regulate temperature and the back panel has a soft mesh for improved moisture transfer.
Reflective logo detailing on the centre back provides increased visibility for cycling in low light. Three rear pockets and a horizontal ballast pocket give plenty of space for spare clothing, food and essentials on long winter rides, and a discreet, zipped valuables pocket provides further secure storage.

Excellent cold weather jersey
Like a partially wind proof comfy sweater with a remarkable range of temperature. This is part of my go to winter kit. The vent on the chest are very effective. The adjustable waist is also surprisingly beneficial for holding in heat or for additional ventilation. The larger than normal twin pockets are easier to get my gloves hands in them. The big zippered pocket holds extra layers or spare gloves. I’ve ridden with this jersey, a wool base layer, and a windbreaker over the jersey and been comfortable at 30F and without a wind layer in up to about 46-50F. This jersey is meaty. Some will call it a jacket. I love the thick, warm, plush feel of it.

Very nice-looking jersey
I bought this a few weeks ago principally for commuting to work, but also for longer weekend rides. It's the first piece of Rapha kit I've had, and is as well-made and smart as I'd expected. It is flatteringly cut, the black version is far more stylish than any other cycling jerseys or jackets I have, and it is certainly warm. However, it is pretty small. I'm 5 foot 10" with a 32" waist and initially bought the medium jersey, since all the cycling and running gear I have is medium, but I couldn't even do the zip up with just a base layer underneath. I swapped it for a large jersey and that is fine - a snug fit and not at all loose.

It's a very good product
It´s more like a jacket not a jersey, because it is uncomfortable to use whit out a first layer as a long arm base layer or a long arm jersey. Normally I use jerseys whit nothing else under it.
The size is a little thigh as a jacket, be careful whit it. I am size L in Rapha jerseys. So if you will use it as a jacket take one size more it will be fitting more comfortable, if you like really really skinny tight bike wear, take your regular size.
I am from South America, and it is perfect to wear on winter or los Andes Mountains.
It is a very well done product for foggy mornings ride, it support a little water, absolutely recommendable, its look nice to.

Great Winter Jersey Overall
Great winter jersey. Been wearing it with a good thermal underneath on temperatures around 2º to 10º so far and it has been great. Not cold at the start. It might get a bit hotter during the exercise but opening the zips or wearing cooler base layer solves the problem. The wind blocking fabric on the chest does the job perfectly, keeping your chest warm. I usually wear L on street clothing for my T-shirts and jumpers (1’90 & 90kg) so first I went for an XL thinking maybe this was race fut but it was too big. I just exchanged it for an L that fits like a glove. I’m basically very happy with it!

Perfect Winter Jersey
Been on 2 rides so far with just a mesh base layer in temperatures between 5 and 12C. On the cooler ride I was really comfortable and when it warmed up a bit there are 2 vents either side of the chest which were easy to open and close with gloves on.
I also really like the pocket options with a large zip across the back to pack away my waterproof, leaving 2 large pockets for food etc and there is also a small zip pocket for keys/valuables.
Definitely going to be my go to jersey/jacket for the winter.

Bought for chilly winter days... put to the test when temperatures dropped to Zero in the Dales.. The jersey was worn with a 160g merino base and feeling the nip I also had an jacket on but once warmed up had to remove. Which folded flat and fit great in the larger zip pocket. The jersey kept my torso cosy on long fast rolling decents in which i had to work to keep speeds up over 60kph with temps down to Zero. Dropping the zips on the climbs to stay cool..
I run the large short sleeve club jersey and xl pro jersey.. I'm 6.1 i ordered both large and xl I kept the large as felt it was a better race fit but not restricted. I have track rider build with slim waste. Xl would have been good if like more relaxed ride..

Best Winter Jersey ever!
I have tried various brands over the years for winter wear and when I first saw this, I thought that looks the business. Firstly it looks great and has some great reflective detailing, which always helps in the dark depths of winter. I liked the large rear zip pocket for putting my waterproof jacket, it meant I could fold it flatter and not roll it up and have it bulging from my other pockets. Other two pockets great for wallet and phone. That extra lining on the front really keeps the chill out and the sleeve lengths allow to pull right over your gloves to make a good seal. It has soon become my favourite jersey of all time, thanks Rapha.

Brilliant but a bit biscuit crumbs in the bed.
I love this jersey, but I'd love it to be better. Its warm, it cuts out the wind, the sleeves are plenty long enough, it has reflective elements, its Rapha.
But the cut is a little ... odd! Its very roomy from the armpits upward but short from the armpits down which is where you need it in the colder weather, there isn't any gripper but there is a draw-string. All this means it rides up slightly and doesn't help access to the rear pockets. I'm 6ft3, 12.5 stone, I tried the M and went with the L but it could be longer on the back. All that said on the two rides I've had in 2/3 degrees its been brilliant. I just need to train myself out of the nervous twitch I've developed - not to constantly keep pulling it down.
Note to Rapha staff - is there anything I can do /adjust to help remedy with this?

What is the arm length like in comparison to the Long Sleeve Core Jersey?

I bought MEN'S PRO TEAM THERMAL BASE LAYER - LONG SLEEVE and MEN'S CORE WINTER JACKET both size L, I am interested in purchasing men's winter jersey, what size do you recommend? and what temperature are these 3 items recommended for?
We recommend a size L in the Men's Winter Jersey as well.
The temperature recommendation for each item depends on what you will be layering it with as well as you personal preferences.
Personally, I would recommend it being at most 4 degrees Celsius to wear any of these items.

Is this a good choice as a winter mid layer when paired with the MEN'S CLASSIC GORE-TEX WINTER JACKET? (For subfreezing temp rides). If not, what product would you suggest as a mid layer?
This jersey is a bit thick but it would work as a mid layer under the Classic Gore-Tex Winter Jacket for subfreezing temperatures. The Pro Team Long Sleeve Thermal Jersey would also be a good pick.

What is the difference between the Pro Team Winter Jacket and the Winter Jacket? 1. Temperature of use? 2. Weight of clothes? 3. Is the Pro Team Winter Jacket more suitable for early winter and winter use as the Winter Jacket is said to be cold?
The Winter Jersey is a thick Merino Jersey that is very warm, yet breathable. It is made for cold to freezing temperatures and can be worn with or without additional layers, depending on what you prefer for the weather you are riding in.
The Pro Team Winter Jacket is for cool to cold weather and is meant to be worn with a jersey underneath. It is more lightweight than the Winter Jersey as it is not as thick. This would be good for use early in the winter whereas the Winter Jersey would be better for the freezing temperatures.

Hi, I am 179cm, 75kg with an athletic build. I wear a small in the core jersey which fits me perfectly. Does this jersey fit the same or should I order a different size?
We recommend the same size in this jersey as you wear in the Core jersey. They have a similar fit.

Is this jersey the best comparable to the late, and in my opinion the best jersey Rapha ever made “the winter wind block jersey”. ?
This jersey has windproofing, but doesn't have a wind block panel on the front or arms. They've got a merino wool blend however.
