Description
The evolution of a much-loved item of winter clothing by Rapha the RCC Pro Team Winter Tights with Pad II are designed for your coldest winter club rides. With a wind-blocking DWR (durable water repellent) fabric all the way up the front-facing panels to ward off the weather, the tights feature a breathable fabric on the rear allowing body heat to be released if you’re pushing hard on the pedals. The windblock panels create a compressive but comfortable fit on the bike, while the seat panel is reinforced with a rain and abrasion-resistant material that keeps the quick-drying chamois pad from getting wet. Inside, the tights have a brushed back fleece fabric for a touch of comfort in the cold, while the uppers feature a perforated central panel for temperature regulation and a new wicking fabric for improved moisture management. Reflective tabs and Pro Team bars are positioned strategically on the back panel and legs to improve visibility in low light. And you’ll also be able to show your allegiance to the Rapha Cycling Club, with reflective RCC logos also positioned prominently.

An early review of the new RCC Winter Tights
So I’ve only had these tights for a few weeks. I’ve been able to get in a five rides in these bib tights and they are a nice upgrade on the prior version of the RCC pro team winter tights. They are the heavier version than other tights by Rapha, so they are warm for me below freezing temperatures, including downhill portions and higher winds. I have not had them in wet weather yet or snow so I cannot comment on that performance. Beyond fit a few style improvements have been made. All of the reflective bits are larger than the previous version and i like that. This includes the RCC and Rapha on the legs as well as the lines that are on the back of your legs. Lastly, I’m not certain that it is the case, but I believe they have improved the cuffs around the ankles, I believe they fit better and lower around the tops of cycling shoes. The fit is similar to that of all other PT bibs that I have.

Cozy winter bibs
These are my go to winter bibs. Always warm and comfortable and the larger reflective logos on these ones compared with the previous RCC bibs (which I’m still alternating with these) are very welcome. Worn between 0-15C in comfort. Above this shorts and leg warmers would be better. I noticed that as in the illustrations on the website, some of the people I ride with socks over the bibs which means you can keep sock fashions going in winter on the days when overshoes are not needed. After a lifetime of socks under tights I’m still working myself up to this but the zipless design means you have this possibility. BTW even my big 29cm feet in size small bibs is no problem for getting them on! Oh 175cm 67+ kg 75 inside leg size small is perfect.

Great winter bibs.
My go to for rides that will remain under 50* F. Comfortable and warm well down into freezing temperatures. Lowest I’ve ridden them in is 32*F. The fit is consistent with the pro team line (race fit), so they are tight and slightly cumbersome to put on. But, once they are on, they are the perfect amount of compression and comfort for a long day in the saddle. Very good pad and straps are comfortable as well. Can’t go wrong.

Warm tights
A very nice looking pair of tights as to be expected from Rapha, fit I would say is true to size, the brushed inner is comfortable and feels nice on the skin, the reflective logos are a nice touch also. Being a winter tight these are somewhat thicker over normal tights, that said they are still very comfortable, and I went out last week when the weather was cold 3deg and these kept me nice and warm without overheating, lastly the chamois pad is comfortable as is with all the pro bibs.

Love these bibs. Perfect for the coldest of months. Great comfort, good fit, little long, but I am also short at 5'7"/170cm.

Great Bib Tights
Great bib tights. The chamois is excellent, the fit is good (and almost forces you into a good riding posture :) ), and it looks great per usual with Rapha. I will definitely get more of these as my other bib tights wear out. My only concern is how they will perform as it gets colder - have only tested them at 48 deg. F minimum. It would be great if Rapha made an additional layering piece to wear over these on frigid days (32 deg. F and below).

Hi, I’m thin and tall, so I’m wondering what is the length of the inner leg for size M ? It is tagged as "long" is it really longer ?
The inside leg in a size M is 76cm.
because fit is dependent mostly on each body shape and customer's personal preference to how customer's prefer garments to fit, it is hard for us to be exact in sizing advice.

What is the recommended temperature range for these tights?
We would class these as a deep winter tight and so can be used in temperature from zero degrees celsius and below.
