Description
Since the club’s inception in 2015, the Rapha Cycling Club kit has become iconic. Now, for the first time, the signature stripes have been updated with brand new colours. This gilet pairs wind-blocking fabrics on the chest with carefully positioned mesh panels across the shoulders for temperature regulation. Three pockets on the back allow you to store extra clothing or ride provisions required for a long-distance ride. If the weather changes, the gilet's windproof front panels guard against the elements, keeping the wind at bay and providing some protection from rain. Brevet stripes and hi-vis detailing improve visibility on low-light rides while high-stretch mesh side panels fit over full jersey pockets. The signature offset zip supports layering and the gilet is tapered at the waist for a comfortable fit.

Be safe! Be seen!
Although the navy RCC version wins out on style, I bought this for visibility and it does not disappoint. Either for early morning or evening rides or where you are riding somewhere more remote it is good to be able to put this on for some extra visibility. Note, however, that unlike the non-RCC brevet gillet it does not have reflective stripes at the back. This is not so bad though as it aids breathability.

Great lightweight vest
This is my second brevet lightweight vest. Really like the visibility, the addition of rear pockets makes it that much more versatile. Seems true to size.

Lightweight but not pared down
Bought this as I'd been looking for a gilet with rear pockets. Wore it for a charity ride in the Alps and used it every day (with the added bonus that it matches the Le Cure charity colours). Rolls up to next to nothing to put in a jersey, and great for those long descents. I carry in on all rides now. I like the offset zip, it's comfortable when zipped up to the neck, highly visible. Great purchase

Great product. Size down.
Great vest for the cool morning starts or to stay warm on a long decent. Packs away easily in a jersery pocket. Would recommend sizing down though.

Gilet sizing for L/XL
Overall a good product and I would probably rate it higher if I was able to try both a L and XL on in the store. I wear a XL jersey so I purchased a XL gilet, however the XL gilet seems to be cut a little larger from the chest down. It makes the pocket area loose and product would probably sway if it was placed there.

Great Piece from Rapha
The Gilet does what it's supposed to do for visibility, wind protection and storage. The fit is cut close, so no fluttering and the asymmetric zipper is also a nice touch. It's also very lightweight and packable, and can also go into the back pocket of my jersey when it's time for it to come off.
Classically Rapha, very functional, comfortable and good looking. Premium product at a premium price, occasionally on sale ;)

What's the difference between a vest and a gilet?
Those are the same. a gilet is simply a French synonym for vest.

Is gilet pink and black or pink and blue?
The colouring on this is Pink and Dark Navy to keep it in line with the colouring on the rest of the RCC kit.

What is the purpose of having the zipper off-centre?
The offset zip for comfortable layering and to prevent draughts penetrating layers.
