Pocketable protection keeps you ready for anything. Designed as the perfectly unobtrusive companion on adventure rides, the Brevet Flyweight Wind Jacket is an extremely packable lightweight layer that offers protection when you most need it. Stowing away into its own pocket, the jacket can be easily kept in a seat pack or jersey pocket, ready and waiting for whatever fate the road has in store for you, whether that’s a late evening downhill dash on an unexpectedly cool descent, or as a cafe-stop cover up. Made of an ultra light ripstop nylon fabric, the jacket is also incredibly durable. A storm placket over the zip helps keep out wind chill, and laser-cut perforations on the side panels allow moisture from perspiration to escape, preventing overheating.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tiny but noisy The jacket is from incredibly thin material and packs down into a really small package - smaller than my gilet. Breathability isn't great but also not a big issue. What I don't like about the jacket is that it flaps in the wind even when the jacket is closed. The cut of the Brevet line is a little looser than other Rapha items and the thinness of the material means that the wind can have a lot of fun with it. Sometimes it's like a machine gun going off next to your ears (although, in fairness, I have never been next to a machine gun when it went off). On the upside, it's a tiny package that you can bring if only for the coffee stop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Handsome water baloon Saying no to this jacket has been incredibly hard. It is as many others have noted, a plastic bag, with no efficient ventilation, so, even going downhill might cause condensation. That alone, should have been cause for a return, however, I found the colour palette, the fit and the packability absolutely stunning. It is my abusive relationship. Rapha, come on, mates, side and back ventilation panels, just like you did with the Brevet insulated jacket (absolutely mental that the insulated jacket is orders of magnitude more ventilated than this paper thin jacket).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No breathability & way too long on the tail & arm I always take negative reviews with a grain of salt but everything negative about this Brevet is true. No two way zippers, no pockets, and doesn't breath well whatsoever. I used the jacket in 30 degree weather and I was sopping wet at the end of my rides since heat and moisture just pool up in this jacket. The jacket is ultra crinkly and wrinkles insanely easy and the worse part is the fit. I am 5'5" 145lbs and on the stretchy Core line I take a XS but for non stretch items I take a S. The jacket in a XS was too tight and the S while much better fitting on the waist and chest is insanely long on the tail and arms even for a cycling piece.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wet Brevet Jacket Compresses to very small size for convenient storage. Deploys well, especially on down hill descents. Material is light, though it annoyingly ‘flaps’ in the wind, but keeps you warm nonetheless. Under normal riding conditions this jacket doesn’t breath well and creates too much internal condensation. Like being inside a water ballon. Would be a fabulous jacket if it was vented better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go-to jacket for descending mountains There are loads of reviews complaining about lack of breathability with this jacket. They are correct. I wouldn't set off from home wearing this as I'd quickly get sweaty inside. Imo the reviewers are missing the point - what this jacket is truly unique at is packing down very small and being of incredible value as a windproof jacket when descending mountains (it easily fits over whatever LS jersey I'm wearing). Imo a breathable jacket can feel cool when descending - this jacket, not being breathable - keeps you toasty. Just remember to unzip it when you stop descending if you need to cycle on! I have bought x2 and while I do also have the gore-tex shakedry by 7mesh (which is wonderful in it's own right) the 7mesh shakedry doesn't pack down anywhere nearly as well as this item.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Brevet Flyweight Wind Jacket Hi Vis but too sweaty Men's Brevet Flyweight Wind Jacket Large. Great colour and visibility with the brevet stripes. Fit is good on me 6ft tall 41 inch chest 33 inch waist . Packs v small and is an ideal always with you top. 3* due to the dreadful performance of the material - As in other reviews, its like wearing a plastic bag even though there are numerous small holes under and down the inside of the arms - There are lots of similar fabrics that are windproof but don't make you feel like your being boiled in the bag. Most unusual. Rapha please sort this out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed Not impressed at all with the jacket - which is a shame considering all the great stuff I’ve heard from fellow riders about Rapha. It’s effectively a plastic bag. After 10 minutes of usage, my arms are dripping with sweat which leaks out the end of the sleeves! I’ve only used it twice since I’ve had it. The only positive is that it does fold up incredibly small.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great fit, disappointing breathability Fit, packability, styling etc are great but I'm a bit disappointed by the breathability of the fabric. I would say that Pertex fabrics from 15+ years ago are better for example. The cycling specific fit almost makes up for this!

Where can I find a video of how to fold this jacket? There is a GIF image on the product page. However, the image is too fast and not detailed.

Unfortunately there is not a slower video of how to fold this jacket, however, all that needs to be done is to stuff every part of the jacket into the pocket that is on the left side (on the inside) of the jersey. Please make sure the jacket is unzipped first and begin with any part of the jacket you like.

Hi, I assume the Jacket is not stretchy? If I'm wearing a Large in everything except Pro Team, do I have to get XL with this jacket? Or will it go well with a base layer and Classic Jersey w/o being a sausage? Thanks

This jacket does not have much stretch but it does fit like a jacket should, allowing space for a jersey and base layer underneath it. We recommend sticking to your true size with this jacket.
