Highly technical cycling gloves for cold and wet conditions

The Deep Winter Gloves are made from innovative technical fabrics and constructed for excellent protection without compromising control. The outer shell uses a windproof, stretch nylon with a Durable Water Repellent treatment, which is then filled with Primaloft® insulation. A waterproof and breathable OutDry® membrane is then bonded to the shape of the shell to give an excellent fit (as opposed to the ‘floating’ liners used in many gloves) and finished with an insulating tricot lining against the skin.

The inside of the palm features a different Primaloft® insulation, originally created for snowsports and treated with a resin so it won’t slip against your skin when gripping the bars. Rapha’s trademark military-grade padding also features in key wear areas.

Overlayed onto the palm is an outer face providing abrasion resistance - on the black gloves this is made from Pittards leather and on hi-vis pink a synthetic suede overlay is used. Elasticated cuffs, with a velcro closure are designed to fit snugly around a jacket sleeve. The gloves also feature reflective stripes and logos, as well as wipes on both thumbs.

Please note: TIf washing these gloves, once dried, glove balm should be applied to the leather panels on the palms to keep them supple. The Deep Winter Gloves are part of the Rapha Glove System and are designed to be worn with the Merino Liners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves for winter I've been going through gloves for years and none have kept my hands warm after the first hour or two. Like most of us I ride early in the morning, which is always colder than a midday ride. Simply said these gloeves deliver

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gloves for warmth with great look I suffer from very cold hands in winter. Painful, in fact. These gloves were instantly better than anything I have ever used. I’d resorted to ski gloves last year - resulting in clumsy braking and gear changed. These gloves are warm and allow control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I have 4 pairs of Rapha gloves and they have helped make my rides much more enjoyable. I’m comfortable on most days and grab the pair that suits the temp and conditions that day. For me these are def for lower 30s F and below. I need liners when it is in the 20s and when it is stormy and low teens to Zero my hands can still get cold but after about 40 min of casual riding. If I ride harder I tend to heat up so I’m still testing as its my first winter back riding in nyc. I love the Rapha gloves and winter gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmest Gloves I Could Find I've been riding in -2 degrees Celsius and feeling very comfortable in these gloves. As good as my ski gloves but with palm padding and good reflective detail. I like the easy to adjust cuffs. I bought XL for some extra space as I find this keeps my fingers warmer and the gloves are still good for changing gears and braking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WARM I've had the same winter gloves for years but they were getting to the end of their life so I purchased these and can't believe how warm they are!! Fantastic yet again from Rapha.

Are this glows supposed to be quite thick on the upper side on the middle of the palm? Do they stretch in general after some time or i need 1 size up if i'm gonna use merino liner in to feel more comfortable? I purchased size as pdf draw suggested.

Asked by: vykosav
Hi, this gloves are quite thick as they are for deep winter riding. They can be used with thin liners. They will get more comfortable with use but they will not have much give in stretch.

At what temperature (degrees Celsius) do these gloves keep the heat of the hand? This applies cycling around 2.5 - 3 hours. Of course, with the use of MERINO LINER.

Asked by: Mariusz1
These gloves are technical cycling gloves created for cold conditions, with thicker padding, heavier insulation, and a velcro closure. However, as we all regulate temperature differently it is hard to advice on the temperature range for individuals and differing exertion levels will also affect its properties.

Hi, I bought these gloves a year ago. Love them. Think they are really great however I’ve noticed they are not 100% waterproof (I’m talking in serious 3-4 hours of rain) should DWR reapplicator be applied to this product or do I need the Neoprene gloves?

Asked by: Harveylxxxx
Hi, the main affect of water on these type of garments is usually down to the amount of hours they are exposed to downpour as water will eventually sip in through extremities such as the cuffs and through the stitching. When washing waterproof garments it is advisable to re-reproof the garments after washing.

Hi, Can these gloves be machine washed? The info says not to do everything except this. If so, what temperature? Thanks.

Asked by: Cl246
Hi, these gloves can be machine washed. Please do so at 30 degrees Celsius, using non-bio detergent. Let the gloves air dry. Do not place on a radiator or in a tumble dryer.

Is the shell fabric for both the colors the same material? The pink looks quite translucent while the black feels more durable. Is that so? Thanks.

Asked by: Ankurrius
Hi, the shell fabric used is identical in both colourways.

Is the hand length for the total length of the glove or is the cuff in addition? I am 18cm wrist to finget-tip but I'd like another 7cm of cuff. Is the knuckle measurement the measurement of my knuckles or of the liner in the glove at that point?

Asked by: Aileen
Hi, the cuff is in addition to the hand length, although this is probably slightly less than 7cm. The knuckle measurement is the measurement of your knuckles.

Hi. Do they work with smartphone touch screen ?

Asked by: mm_specialized
Hi, unfortunately the amount of insulation needed for these gloves to provide adequate warmth, means they do not work with smartphone touch screens.
