Mild and soothing summer cycling embrocation
Rapha Summer Embrocation is an emollient balm that combines capsicum, arnica and wintergreen with menthol. This is mixed with a complex blend of seed oils including sweet almond, sunflower, Abyssinian, olive, wheatgerm, grape, canola and rosehip. There is also shea butter, vitamin E, pomegranate sterols and beeswax.
Ingredients include:
- Atlas Cedar – a mild astringent reputedly good for relieving stress and tension.
- Lavender – a natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory used to help ease aches and pains.
- Pine needle – reputed to ease rheumatism and respiratory complaints.
- Rosemary – characteristic Mediterranean aroma and general tonic to stimulate the senses.
- Juniper Berry – a centuries-old boost the immune system.
- Lemon – refreshing citrus is naturally anti-bacterial.
- Cypress – aromatic conifer rumoured to have anti-rheumatic properties.
- Patchouli – anti-inflammatory often used to treat skin conditions.
- Cistus – produces a soothing, aromatic resin.
nb. Also contains a mineral bronze mica for a radiant sheen. Will not stain the skin but will stain white socks. Our products have not been tested on animals.

Weird, but good!
This isn't a tingly hot sensation creating embrocation as used in Winter.
It isn't obviously anything more than a nice smelling cream when it goes on.
There MAY be a very slight sensation but nothing major.
However.
When out on the bike in usually chilly Spring mornings I really have noticed a difference.
It seems to be like a barrier cream that actually warms the muscles slightly.
I use it on every ride now.
Lovely stuff.
And it gives the old guns a nicely shiny slightly tanned appearance too!

Smells great, feels warm
I love this stuff, on my 3rd jar now. A quick application in the morning and off I go on those days when tights are not needed, leg warmers but you would rather not. Be warned, it will stain and put on last. It goes on forever and the empty jar is a great pencil jar for the desk.

Does Not Seem to Work Well
I bought this as I have been so happy with the chamois creme. However, I have used other embrocations that provide more warming etc. than this one. It is pleasant smelling, however, the creme has a red tinge and it STAINS!

Way better than knee warmers
Terrific product. Goes on easily with slight warmth and a nice light tint. It's the perfect product for days that start chilly and warm up. It'll keep your legs warm while chilly and let them cool down once it gets warm. Really glad I discovered this, it has made my riding more pleasurable.

Great stuff for summer rides
I have purchased this several times. It's perfect for early morning summer rides when the air has a bit of a nip to it. Smells great it doesn't have any overpowered medicinal smell like some embros tend to have.

A warm glow on chilly starts
For those chilly mornings, give you a nice level of warmth to be able to ditch the legs warmers. Not too oily, and sinks into the skin well. Was a little concerned about the colour, thought it may have some tanning element to it, but luckily doesn't look like fake tan when on.
As an additional plus, looks great on Instagram pics, gives your legs some real pop!!

Great except for the stains.
I bought this product because I love the winter embro And wanted something for days that were mild. It feels amazing and does what it is supposed to do. I would have given it 5 stars if it were not for the addition of bronzer in the product. I realize that the instructions say that it needs to be rubbed in well so it won't stain. However, no amount of rubbing I do will completely soak in the bronzer. This is a great product as long as you wear all black--which I often do.

What is the role of this product?
