Runs small
Use this mostly for commuting. So far, no issues with a base layer down to -2C. Suspect you could push it into the -5c range. It fits small though - I have a 38 inch chest, and consistently fit a medium with rapha. A medium with this fits nice for a summer jersey, but you can barely squeeze a base layer in there underneath it. Apparently the cut is supposed to be looser so that you should be able to fit a base layer in with no difficulty, but I would disagree. Would recommend to consider sizing up.

Amazing jacket, amazing value
I have been waiting for ages for my size and chosen colour to come back in stock, and I had my order placed within minutes of the re-stock alert landing! For a great price you get a great jacket, which I've used through the worst bits of winter so far, in every condition except monsoon downpour. It even looks good on the MTB. Sizing is spot on and aligns with your Rapha jersey size nicely (not always the case with lots of kit)

Great Jacket.
This is a great jacket, elegant, good looking and high quality materials. Rear pockets and roomy and color is great. Sizing is where it gets tricky, my chest is 39 inches, according to the chart I am a Medium for this "regular fit" jacket, so I bought a Medium, I have somewhat muscular arms and shoulders so the medium was too tight above the chest. I felt like the Hulk about to rip his shirt off. Arm length was perfect. Being too tight I exchanged it for a Large, better fit but now the arms are a bit long. Still I prefer the room on the Large than having a too tight chest and arms.
Over all great jacket, not for really cold days because the whole back is not weather proof but good for cool to slightly cold days.

High quality product. Differing materials front and back means it breathes well. A quality finish and the concealed zipped pocket at the back is a nice touch. I've found it too warm above 10 degrees C (that's without a base layer) but just right below 10. It is long on the arms but this gives you the flex when in the crouch position. I'm 185cm and wear a Large.

My favorite winter jacket!
I bought the XL size even though I'm on the lower side of the XXL size and it fits great! It's really nice that Rapha's sizing is geared towards those with athletic builds as opposed to most manufacturers where a larger size means it's for a fatter person. I'm about 6'5" and 215 lb probably 10% body fat and the jacket fits awkwardly off the bike but once you get into a cycling position it's great! The sleeves are just about long enough for me which is unusual as most jackets are at least a few inches short in the sleeves torso length is just about perfect. For me, this jacket works well below freezing temps with a mid weight wool base layer.

Ok but not for winter in the UK.
This is my first item from Rapha haven read and been told great things about the brand. The jacket is great looking and pretty good quality considering it’s the more budget core range. Issue is that calling it a winter jacket is a little misleading. I would say it’s a thick jersey. Although it talks about wind stopping fabric etc etc I road with it on in 5-8° and it isn’t warm enough. Even with a Marino base layer underneath. It lets in too much cold air. I have a different cycling jacket from another brand and it is completely windproof.
Jacket will be fine for cooler spring and autumn rides or might work in the winter with a Gilet over the top but not a winter jacket imo.

Awesome value and functionality.
I'm very happy with this jacket. Great value and fit (more on that later) I've worn it it from 5 to 12º and it kept me very comfortable. I purchased the pink one, and the visibility is amazing. The tail is fairly long, and covers the lower back very well.
The fit is on the smaller side as I had to return a medium for a large. (I always wear a medium for everything else Rapha). Since I'm really a medium I had to get a seamstress to shorten the sleeves. Now it fits perfectly.

Best jacket yet...
Bought this jacket for cold morning commutes & it is PERFECT. Keeps the wind at bay from the front, breathable at the back. I’ve rode along windy coastal roads at 06:30am in 0 degrees & it’s faultless even with just 1 base layer. So much so I attempted to buy it in red (I have black) but every colour now sold out & I’m told won’t be restocked until August!!! I’m 95kg, 5’10” & not the conventional “small child build” of a cyclist so went with XXL cause I like a bit of room but I could get away with XL. The price point is amazing compared to the other jackets like this. Honestly, can’t say enough good things about it just disappointed I couldn’t get a 2nd one

Core Jacket does what it’s supposed to!
Nice jacket, essential piece for winter layering. Perfect for early morning winter rides. I found it most comfortable for temps 36-50 Fahrenheit in cooler cloud covered days or with wind or some wetness. At 50 with sun or warmer temps and you’ll find yourself getting toasty and with no where to stow or stuff. Works fine with a base layer and short sleeve jersey, but did not get to test it in anything lower than 36 degrees. I’m happy with it! It’s very good quality and a great value but maintains nice sporty styling and lacks bulk or boxiness of similar type jackets on the market. Looking forward to using it for years to come.

No Response from Rapha
Great looking jacket and kept me warm on rides. However the stitching ripped on the arm about two weeks after I bought it and have received no response from Rapha about an exchange. Disappointed as I'm a big fan of their products. As it stands I cannot use it and I have been trying to contact them for over a month.

Good jacket, but with some sizing issues
A good quality jacket, but there are some issues.
First of all, when living in the middle of Norway, with temeratures droping well below -0C, its a bit misleading to call this a winter jacket. But in temperatures between 4-10 C this is a brilliant jacket combined with a single bayslayer.
The big issue to make this a fully winter jacket lays in the sizing. In all my other Rapha products i use size medium, and this jacket fits a bit snug in the body, and loose in the arms. So if i was to put on multiple baselayers for riding in temperatures below -0C, the jacket will become uncomfotable. And when trying out a size large the arms are simply to big, and just would be flapping around when riding.
I would allso like to see a rain flap over the zipper.
On the pro side the jacket feels well made, and seems durable. It allso performes suprisingly well in wet conditions

Not that warm
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and went out for my first ride this weekend. Really good fit and colour. However at the 6C degrees temperature is was not very warm. I had on 2 base layers and after 2 hours in the saddle was so cold I had to put on a gilet that I fortunately took with me. I would recommend that Rapha should put the temperature suitability for clothing such as this to give customers an informed choice.

Great in cold weather, not entirely user friendly
I have tried the jacket a number of times in temperatures just above zero, and with one layer of wool under, it was a comfortable ride. The only drawback, a repeating Rapha problem in my view, is that the back pocket openings are way too high up on the back. I really have to twist my arm in an almost impossible position to get my hands into the pockets. Another thing is the size: this jacket runs a little small. I am Small in all other Rapha products, but this time I should have chosen Medium.

great jacket
used this jacket for the first time on a long road ride on a sometimes wet and sometimes sunny ride in the Highlands of Scotland. it was perfect. Kept me warm and dry when it rained and remarkably was cool enough when the sun was out. this is my new favourite bit of kit

Not warm
Not as warm as the winter wind block jersey, even though that's a jersey and this is a jacket.

Very strange fit
I got a large and normally that size fits me pretty well in every brand, including Rapha. But this jersey is strange. It's tight in some places, loose in others, and long in the arms. I could work with all of that except for one thing, the arm holes are very tight and not stretchy and frankly it's pretty uncomfortable. Unfortunately it may be a deal breaker and it'll have to go back.

Beautiful and effective
As is the norm for Rapha, the fabrication of this piece is outstanding: seams are precise, fabric is plush, color is stunning. I particularly like the sleeve gaskets on the cuff that prevent cold air from sneaking in. Paired with a good base layer, or used as a mid, this jacket can suit a very wide temperature range.
Fit is slim. The sleeve length on my XL is perfect (I wear a 36/37 dress shirt) and the shoulders are snug. No problem for riding, but definitely favors gents slightly slimmer than me.

Not what I expected, but really like it
Bought as I thought it was going to be another jacket. Intended to try a few on and keep 1, but ended up keeping the core rain jacket and this, as it's actually more of a soft shell. Even ordered another in pink it's that good!

Cleve mix of fabrics keeps ypu warm but not sweaty
This is a nice slim fitting jacket with long arms and body. I usually overheat in winter jackets and get sweaty, but this Rapha one has a differemt fabric front and back that seems to work. The front is a windproof softshell type fabric, and the back (including the underside of the arms) a stretchy breathable roubaix type fabric. So it keeps the cold off your front, but breathes through the back. I've not tested it in really wet weather, but I'm not sure it's designed to be super waterproof. I still stuff a rain cape in the pocket.

Love it. Comfortable and warm.
I'm wearing it as I write this... and I'm not on my bike. That says something. I sized up so that I can wear a layer or two underneath it, but it still fits tight even with a single base layer. The arms a bit long for me (because of the XXL size), but I find myself wearing it to the store or out in the yard because it is just the right amount of warm.
I wore it on a long ride last weekend when the temp was in the low 40s (F) and I never got overheated, no matter the effort, nor cold, even when resting or fighting the chill headwind.

Strange fit
I am usually fine with L size, but this was far too tight, impossible to fit anything under it. Exchanged for XL but massively bulky on the shoulders, look like an American footballer! Now returned.

Exactly what I needed
I bought this a few weeks ago to cope with the oncoming north English winter. Kept me perfectly warm in 8 degree weather without my usual base layers. Haven't tested it out in any rain yet, but does a flawless job of keeping the wind out without boiling you in your own sweat. I think the size runs small against the size guides, but already owning a Rapha jersey, I knew to go up a size. Same great build quality you expect from Rapha.

Slick Jacket.
Love it. Great quality. Love the style. It's quite slim fitting for a medium where I'm a small and medium jersey fit guy. Great grip around the buttucks. 9c ride with a base layer and a Core jersey was to warm. I'll figure it out as I go along.

Nice style, decent warmth
I wanted a warm jacket and this is pretty good. It runs really small, by my standards, in the chest / shoulders. I'm 6 ft,. 210 lbs, or so, and it wearing an XL. The XXL would only be longer in the arms, not provide any room in the chest.

Good jacket but why can't they get sizes right!?
I ordered three of these jackets, two for me (I had returned the first one that was too small, more on this below), and the third for a friend. Funny enough the friend is the only one that now has the jacket as I never received the second one I had ordered. Disappointing.
Having said that, I have tried it and can give my impression. The jacket is fine and good value. The only minor problem is that it seems to have an excess of material between shoulder and elbow. Fairly odd.
Apart from that, I really cannot understand Rapha sizes (and I have been a client for more than 10 years now, from the good old days of the sample sales in London). I had bought the jacket in size L and it's clearly too small, despite the fact that (i) I am size M in merino baselayer (ii) size L in softshell jacket; size L for long sleeve classic jersey and for a number of short sleeves jerseys; (iii) Core should be regular cut like Classic; (iv) apparently Ruben (the model on the Rapha page) is 6ft and is wearing Small, despite looking bulkier than me... It's a bit of a lottery really.

Great jacket
I was looking fora jacket that keeps me dry in rain and warm in Belgium winters. So far it performed perfectly at the second goal and just did not ride enough in rain to fully commit on the first. For the little times I was caught in the drizzle, it was perfect. I wear it in temperatures under 10 degrees but above freezing and after few hundreds of meters of peddling I feel perfectly warm and comfortable with only a base layer underneath. The dark green looks great but has low visibility when is dark.

Nice feel but too small
The jacket looks to be well made and feels good to the touch. However, i ordered a medium (as i have several other Rapha tops in medium) but this was too small. It's a very tight fit. I'm not fat but it was definitely made for someone with no shoulders or chest!
I have reordered a large size so hopefully that will be better. I'm hoping that the arms won't be too long though as the medium was the perfect length.

There is an issue with this product
Good product in itself, however you need to use it with a goretex jacket on the top, even when it’s not very cold. The wind goes through it. Unfortunatly, there is not goretex jacket with this color (in my area, around Mont Ventoux, you need to be seen)

Needs a higher collar
I've used this a few times now the temps have dropped. It's a good fit, windproof and warm. The dual fabrics are well placed on the arms, so the breathable not windproof fabric doesn't let wind in (unlike a lot of dual fabric designs). Pockets are a little on the tight side for stuffing extra layers and gloves in, definitely feels very tight with a pair of gloves stuffed in them. My only complaint is the collar is very short and doesn't really keep my neck warm, so you need a buff etc.

Great winter jacket
I bought this winter jacket as I wanted a jacket with better fit (no flapping on descents or when riding fast) and breathability than my existing one and it has fulfilled my expectations.
I have used this jacket during very cold conditions -5 degree and up to 5 degree C at temperatures below 0C. At the lowest temperatures it has been difficult to keep warm even though I have had a base layer and long sleeve jersey underneath.
The reason for the missing star is due to I think the straps around the wrist could be better (larger) for better transition between sleeve and glove.
