Rated 5 out of 5 by Aunsell from Most comfortable globes I have ever owned I own many...many pairs of gloves of all different types, none leather. Some of my globes have gel padding, some have memory foam. These are by far the most comfortable gloves I have ever used. At first glance some might feel that the padding is a bit minimalistic, but the padding it does have is all in the right places. When you purchase these I recommend going for a smaller size than you would normally wear because the leather and knitted back’s will stretch slightly conforming to your hand. I ordered the small and the medium and was worried the small would be too tight but it fits like a second skin. It’s hard to explain that a thin leather glove can have more comfort and feel better on longer rides than a thick gel padded glove. Just buy them and you’ll see !

Rated 5 out of 5 by jweissburg from Fantastic feel - Order small Once you dial in your size, these gloves feel amazing. Supple, comfy, breathe well. I tried out several brands of fingerless gloves, which can be hard to fit correctly because they have to be snug around your fingers and not bunch up but also not pinch. I first bought them large, which felt right when I tried them out in-store but I found that when riding they stretch out a bit and bunch up. The medium size which felt too small in store ended up being perfect after a few rides. Kind of like buying nice leather shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NorCal rider from Well made I have had these gloves for three months now and have worn and washed them several times. They continue to look new and are very comfortable. Stitching is top quality, as is the leather.

Rated 3 out of 5 by agent cooper from Excellent...for short to medium distances They're incredibly well made and stylish, the quality of the leather is even better than the classic mitt...but once you get into the 5+ hour ride mark, and you're not lucky enough to be cycling on carpet-like asphalt, then the lack of padding begins to tell. What there is has been placed in a strange location too, or maybe it's just my riding style. The old classic mitts had excellent padding for long rides, it's a shame the new crochet versions didn't carry this through, if they did then I would give them 5 stars without hesitation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TRex666 from Surprise...no gel padding! Very nice gloves with fancy leather work...but where did all the padding that made the previous version of the classic mitts such an essential part of a long day in the saddle go?! Great gloves to drive a car, not to ride a bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rudi from Comfi! I really needed new mitts so I bought theses crochet ones (crochet, like when I started out riding a race bike, 35 years ago) and they proofed great companions, just like their ancestors where. Thanks! I'll use them till the last thread.

Rated 5 out of 5 by evanspringle from Absolutely Glovely My second pair of white Rapha mitts. First didn't perish, I simply lost them, although they had a good 3 years use. Perfect really. I even use them in the gym as they are the closest glove I've used to a second skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CBratina from Beautiful Mitts The crochet backing is the softest I have ever experienced. The leather feels great, with minimal padding. Extremely light. Quality exudes. And then there is he metal Rapha logo embedded in the strap. Why have a heavy, ostentatious label on such a sublimely great glove? Replace it with a sample stamped name. The price is outrageous, but I am willing to pay for quality. This is the first glove whose sizing is spot on.

These gloves seem VERY snug. Do I need to "wear" them in or should I order the next size up? I went by the size chart.
If the gloves feel too tight and uncomfortable then please feel free to exchange these for a size up.

Do you need to apply a conditioning cream to the leather palms after you wash the gloves?
Hi, applying a cream onto leather when new will help maintain the life span and suppleness of the leather. The cream gives the leather a natural stain and water repellent finish, so do be prepared for a slight change in colour in light coloured gloves. Most importantly - If your gloves get wet, allow them to dry naturally at room temperature and away from any external heat source, such as radiators, tumble dryers, hair dryers or direct sun light. Direct heat can dehydrate and crack the leather!

If one is between sizes as I am (9" around the knuckles) do you recommend sizing up or down?
You should go a size up in these circumstances. If the garment does not meet your specifications then you can return these under the 90 day returns procedure.
