WHY MALLORCA?

There’s a reason so many cyclists visit Mallorca each year. With a wealth of pristine roads, beautiful scenery and favourable weather, it’s a cycling paradise. This time, we’re heading to the north of the island, closer to some of its major attractions. From our Summit hotel the iconic switchbacks of Sa Calobra and the route to the lighthouse at Cap Formentor are just a short ride away. CURATED ROUTES

To help you make the most of every minute, every Summit ride is planned months in advance. Routes are curated by our local experts, with distance options to suit everyone. Between the coastline climbs and sweeping descents, there’ll be lunch stops on the road, and full support from Ride Leaders, mechanics and support cars. And off the bike, there’s plenty of time to relax and recover ahead of your next ride. Here’s what’s in store.

Day 1.

After checking in at the award-winning Las Gravitos Hotel in the afternoon, we’ll start building our bikes and getting ready to roll out. Guests will head out on either one of two ride times, not wasting any time getting out to explore the local area. In the evening, guests will enjoy welcome drinks and a chance to get to know fellow clubmates before dinner and a welcome presentation to whet your appetite for the weekend ahead.

Day 2.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head for the iconic Formentor Lighthouse, and with a special RCC Checkpoint Challenge along the way, it's every rider for themselves. We’ll have lunch on the road, and there’ll be two route options available, with an extended version for those who want more time on the bike. After a relaxing evening at the hotel making the most of the sea, pool and spa all to hand, dinner will be hosted at the hotel, followed by some evening entertainment.

Day 3.

Following breakfast at the hotel we’ll head into the centre of Mallorca to explore the lesser known country roads, or Camis, to experience the real, insider side of the island. A flatter day with some rolling hills, there’ll be the option to ride up Cura for those looking for a challenge. After lunch on the road, we’ll head back for some relaxing downtime at the hotel before dinner and some more evening entertainment.

Day 4.

For the third and final full day of riding, we’ll enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before taking in and heading up Mallorca’s infamous Sa Calobra and the surrounding Sierra de Tramontana. There’ll be two route options available, both allow you to experience the snaking roads of this summit. In the afternoon, members will have the chance to make the most of the accomodation with a free schedule for relaxation. The farewell dinner will be at a local restaurant, with the chance to celebrate what is set to be an amazing weekend.

Day 5.

A final farewell spin will take place after breakfast around the local area before returning to the hotel ahead of checkout, and thoughts turning to the next RCC Summit in store.
