Rapha Prestige Tokachi
Adventure. Teamwork. Resilience.
The Rapha Prestige tasks teams of riders with an all-day adventure across stunning terrain. Unsupported and unmarshalled, the rules are simple: start and finish as a team, and pass through all the checkpoints. The route you choose is your own.
Applications now closed
Rapha will contact successful teams on or after Tuesday, July 3 with a payment link.
Prepare for approximately 165 kilometres of rolling terrain. Expect to be on the bike for 7-8 hours as we explore the Daisetsuzan National Park in the mountainous interior of Hokkaido. A varied route will see riders crest the highest highway on Hokkaido at the Mikuni Pass before heading for home. There will be checkpoint locations and a supplied route, which will be revealed only to confirmed participants 48 hours before the ride.
The Prestige is a completely unsupported ride. You are responsible for navigation and keeping yourself and your team going. Minimum kit should include two tubes, multi-tool, pump, patch kit, and a masterlink. We highly recommend spare kit and nutrition. A paper cue sheet will be supplied as well as a .gpx file, however the supplied route is not necessarily the most direct way to each checkpoint - teams are encouraged to plot their own routes (in the spirit of the ride we ask teams not to take A roads).
There will be space for up to 20 teams of four with a number spaces guaranteed for Rapha Cycling Club teams.
Entries cost JPN ¥25,000 per team. Once your application has been accepted, Rapha will be in touch to collect the entry fee. Rapha will supply a payment link to confirmed teams on or after Tuesday, 3rd July. At the start we provide last minute nutrition, water and coffee. At the finish we’ll have hot food and extra drinks for every rider, and we hope you can stay with us to share stories as the sun sets.
