Description

With a windblocking outer fabric and an insulating Polartec Alpha lining for warmth, the Insulated Overshirt is an ideal mid layer or lightweight jacket for use in cool conditions. Casual styling and a regular fit make the overshirt well suited to layering on top of a t-shirt and beneath a waterproof shell. The outer fabric features a durable water-repellent (DWR) coating for protection in changeable weather while two roomy hand warmer pockets keep essentials safe and a secure zipped chest pocket provides extra storage space. Inside, body heat is locked in by Polartec Alpha insulation, which is also recycled to reduce the garment’s impact.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish, comfortable, versatile Just what I had been looking for: something suitable for wearing to/from meetings. The overshirt looks smart enough to be worn at work as a jacket (or outer layer if it's cold in the office), and comfortable enough to make you never want to take it off. (Is ideal for casual purposes too.) It works brilliantly for riding in as well, thanks to the lining and windproof outer. I didn't see the purpose of the pop-button closure at the cuffs until I rode in the jacket on a very windy morning, then they made perfect sense! However, there are a few negatives, especially at this price point. The button closure isn't the most convenient for when riding and wanting to quickly (and safely) regulate temperature. The pop-button closure on the two side pockets is ok, but doesn't feel terribly secure when riding. These are all things that I can accept however. The only big negative with this jacket is the chest pocket. Zip closure: perfect. Size: terrible. It doesn't fit my phone (Samsung S20), which is the item I would want in there when wearing the jacket to ride; and when not riding, even with my small card holder it becomes very bulky.

Despite keep washing it, which you have to do seperately, fluf constantly comes off the lining and get all other your clothes. If you wash it with other items they also get covered in light grey fluf which is really noticable. Such a shame, its basically unwearable, otherwise it would have been nice.

But the lining is a bit of a disaster as it constantly fluffs up, wear something black under the jacket and it looks like you’re wearing a fluffy T-shirt when you take the jacket off. Washed a couple of times but it still an issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It sheds loose beer This is a useful shirt for cool days and evenings. It is very light and soft to the skin if you wear it over a short sleeve shirt. While I haven't test it in wet weather I notice some pooling when, unfortunately, a little bit of beer slipped out of my mouth, suggesting the coating works. Snaps instead of buttons would have been a better option, but the buttons are fine.

What’s the height/weight of the model? What size is he wearing?

I do not have this information for the first model pictured for this item but I can tell you that the third model pictured is 6'1", has a 31" waist and wears a size small.

Is the fit on this overshirt more relaxed or slim? How does it compare to the Explore long sleeve pullover? Can it comfortably fit a t-shirt underneath? What size is model wearing?

This can comfortably fit a t-shirt underneath, it has a comfortable fit, but is somewhat slim fit. It isn't oversized.

For what type of weather is it recommended for ? Can it be worn in with a warm base layer for commuting in winter ?

This is designed for cold, dry weather. It has wind stopper properties too, so a base layer or t-shirt under-nether would be perfect for commuting in style.
