HOW TO GET THERE
Bentonville is served by the Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA). To fully participate in the Summit, please arrange your in-bound flight to arrive by 12:00 pm CST on Friday, October 7. Your outbound flight should depart no earlier than 2:00 pm CST on Monday, October 10.
Airport-hotel shuttles are complementary and will run throughout the day on Friday, October 7 and Monday, October 10. Bikes are included in the shuttle service; please ensure your bike is properly packed into a bike bag or box. We are collecting travel times from each guest the guest details form in order to inform a timely service, and may revise what times our complimentary shuttles are offered.
If you are arriving before Friday, October 7 or departing after Monday, October 10, we recommend Pinnacle Car Services, Ambassador Car Services or Jim’s Express to arrange an airport transfer. Each of these services have vehicles large enough to accommodate bike bags.
Uber and Lyft are also available throughout the area. Your transfer should cost roughly $40-70 depending on your party size and time of day.
The Summit will be based at the 21c Museum Hotel in downtown Bentonville. Part boutique hotel, part contemporary art gallery, 21c is a short walk from many of the region’s best restaurants, breweries, coffee shops and art galleries. See below for our guide to the area.
If you plan to arrive early or extend your stay afterwards, please indicate this on your the guest details form or contact us at email@example.com so we can arrange additional nights at the hotel. It’s important that you request additional dates as soon as possible, as the hotel’s availability is limited during this time of the year.
An RCC hospitality desk will be available throughout the weekend in Gallery One, staffed to answer questions and make recommendations.
With its extensive network of single track trails, gravel paths and paved roads, Northwest Arkansas is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new destinations in the U.S. to experience by bike. The Ozark Mountains boast some of the highest peaks outside the Rockies and Appalachia, with huge expanses of rich, green forest and rolling hills. Hidden within, you’ll find a landscape of narrow, steep-sided gorges and crystal clear lakes – creating a perfect playground of tarmac, gravel and singletrack to explore.
And beyond world-class cycling, Bentonville is home to must-see art collections, award-winning dining, microbreweries and craft coffee. We’ve created a map of the area to help you plan your time in Bentonville.
Visit the Oz Trails more about Northwest Arkansas’ world-class shared-use trail system. Members of the Oz Trails team will join us throughout the weekend.

ITINERARY AND ROUTES
An itinerary will be available at least two weeks prior to the event. Please check back soon for more details.
Please note that our routes and itinerary are subject to change.
The opening ride of the Summit offers the chance to familiarise ourselves with the area, and is a nice gentle start to the weekend. This is our team’s classic Bentonville Lunch Loop. This ride will take place all on paved roads and will give riders the opportunity to stretch the legs and meet fellow RCC members.
After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will ride out for a day of exploring Northwest Arkansas’s scenic gravel backroads and byways. Riders will head to the east of town where they will be treated to stunning views atop the bluffs overlooking Beaver Lake, before heading north for a BBQ lunch nestled in the hills of Missouri. We’ll have plenty of time to rest and refuel. Following the lunch stop, guests will choose from two route options. For those looking to maximise time on the bike, we’ll offer an extended version totalling nearly 100 miles. We’ll also offer a direct route back to Bentonville, where guests can relax or explore the area’s museums and attractions.
Following an early breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head out for another day of gravel exploration. This time we will depart west of town where you’ll be treated to long gravel roads that traverse the beautiful rolling hills that surround Bentonville. Lunch will once again be offered mid-route, followed by the option to head back to town or continue on for more time in the Arkansas countryside.
For those craving a bit of road cycling, we have a beautiful route that will take you east of town through Rogers and along the shores of Beaver Lake. This route is twisty with steep punchy hills but is well worth the effort. From Rogers riders will descend down to the lake taking a lap around Horseshoe Bend Park before heading back towards Bentonville.
After a long weekend of riding we will end the Summit with a short coffee spin. This route heads out to the west of town into a rural landscape. We will loop back into town via the Coler Trail Greenway where we will stop for a coffee at Aris, in the middle of the mountain bike park. We will spin at a slow pace to recover the legs before RCC Members depart on their journey home.
For those that want a taste of what makes Bentonville the mountain biking destination it is, we’ll offer a short spin around the Slaughter Pen trail system led by OZ Trails. Riders will leave straight from the hotel and land on single track right away. The OZ Trails crew will help riders with MTB technique and will guide the group around Slaughter Pen which was the first trail to be built in Bentonville and was the spark that led to the expansive trail network that the area has today.
