Winter Socks

Cold feet can lead to miserable winter cycling and keeping your extremities warm is vital for successful winter training. The Rapha Winter Socks have been designed to keep your feet comfortable even during the coldest days on the bike. Made from a thicker yarn than Rapha’s traditional socks, season-specific features include a padded toe and footbed for maximum warmth.

The natural fibre absorbs sweat to keep your feet dry and the socks have flat, handlocked stitching in the toes to prevent the seams rubbing. A contrast line graphic runs around the top of the foot and the socks have Rapha text printed inside the ankle cuffs. The text is only visible when the cuffs are folded down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Winter Socks I bought these while living in Arizona (so not needed that much) and for the few cold days we have these socks have been perfect. They also served as great socks for walking around in Iceland where it was really cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Winter Socks I bought these socks about a month ago and used them 2 or 3 times since in cold weather - between 40 degrees (F) and 25 degrees. Before this, I have just ridden with regular weight socks, and added overshoes, but would always have cold toes about 30 minutes in. With these socks, my toes and feet were noticeably warmer, but I never noticed them sweating or getting too hot, they breath well. They are thicker in the toebed and the heel, where you need the most warmth. On the coldest rides (sub 30 degrees), my toes still get cold, but they are much warmer than before with these socks. Great value and they look great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm without being bulky When I received these socks, I was a bit skeptical as they are fairly thin for winter. However, they are plenty warm enough and I think it is because the socks have a very tight weave of wool. I have ridden in 20 degree (F) weather (with chemical warmers) and had no trouble at all. At 30 degrees the warmers are no longer necessary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable & Warm These winter socks are warm & comfortable and are perfect for cycling and for casual wear. They fit great and look good with jeans, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid warm socks Comfy and warm socks. Stoll need some sort of wind break.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect balance Most of the winter socks I have are either too bulky or not warm enough. The warmest of them also eventually get too warm, because they don’t breathe or wick. These socks stay true to the idea of wicking with a medium thickness and constant air/moisture flow to stay comfortable, but they also do a great job immediately making the feet warm with that merino blend. Bottom line: you’ll forget all about your feet, and you can concentrate on what you’re there to do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice socks but what for? This is the second pair I have purchased; grat winter socks.. for normal use. I found they make too tight a fit with cycling shoes and more importantly a thin sock and a regular merino sock provide better insulation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Winter Ready! These are proving to be great socks. I like the thickness and the fit because they are true to size.
