Sticky fabric
Comfortable stretch fabric and great off the bike, but the fabric has been impregnated with residue from the saddle - at least on my Fizik Aliente - and now the shorts stick to the saddle, so any subtle fore/aft or side-to-side sliding movements (to relieve pressure or affect weight distribution) are not possible without first separating the short from the saddle by standing on the pedals. Yes there is some give between the shorts and the liner, but not that much and doing so restricts leg movement. It could be the fault of the saddle but the fabric is ruined. I'd say a huge improvement would be an extra layer of tougher fabric in the seat to give the shorts extra strength and stop them being so sticky.

The best-especially if you can get them on sale.
So glad I tried these shorts. I had previously been stuck on Kitsbow MTB shorts and liked them because of the fit, modern soft and stretchy fabric and the fact that I could wear them off the bike without looking like a bike geek. Well, those were stupidly expensive and they went out of business. Needing something new after losing some weight, I snagged a pair of these on sale and am so glad I did. They have quickly supplanted the other brand as my go to favorites for riding. They fit great, don’t snag on the seat, done move around when pedaling, and the pockets are great. They do great in really warm weather too. I got one of the two-tone color ways so they don’t fit the bill for wearing around casually but I will definitely be getting another pair in a solid color to fit that purpose.

Pretty good shorts
Pretty good shorts that I used for bicycle touring. In comparison with explore shorts this one's are not that comfortable. They feels like a bit sturdy. Still they are breathable and light.

Mama Bear of trail shorts
Great trail shorts! These are not too long, not too short. Not too heavy, but also durable. Just enough pockets. They are very adjustable. I have take a couple of long bike trips and I will wear these on non biking days as shorts. They are very comfortable.

Very nice lightweight trail (running) shorts
My closet is filled with Rapha gear: pro, core, brevet, mtb, etc. When I started trail running with my dog I was looking for a good short with some pockets to keep poo bags, food and such. I was already happy with the Rapha trail shorts. So ordered the lightweights to experiment if these would do the trick. These tend to be a bit more close fitting than the Rapha trail shorts in the same size. Because I don’t use them with a liner its fine. But I would recommended to size up when you do. For my purpose these shorts rock! Immediately bought a second pair. They dry quickly. Feel good to the skin, have several pockets and stretch enough to use them as a comfortably running short. I can even take my phone in the side pocket running and do not notice it. As always I'm happy with a lot of Rapha gear even thoug I don’t use it for the intended purpose.

Excellent fit and stretchy materials = winner
These are my favorite off road shorts now. I really like the fit, I would say the size mediuim I got are close fitting and slightly lose in the right places without looking baggy which is what I was wanting, dont like too much spare fabric as wanted them to be packable for trips. The fabric is very stretchy and comfortable, pockets are zipped and accessible. Overall i am really impressed and am sure these are going to get alot of use.

Amazing Shorts!
Had a chance to wear this on a number of rides (MTG, Gravel and commuting). These are amazing shorts. The materials feel high quality, feel good and soft. Fit was perfect. Love the built in belt and no Velcro. They look like they will stand up to abuse (they wash well). I will certainly be getting more of these.

Comfy shorts
Nice shorts for trail riding. They fit close, I'm 6'0" and 84kg, I fall in between medium and large. I could go with large next time if I want a bit more room. The short length is just above my knee so they look more XC then they do Enduro I suppose.

Do these shorts come with a liner?
Hi, These shorts do not come with a liner but they are designed so that you can wear with a liner under them if you choose. Some options are the Men's Trail Liner or the Men's Trail Cargo Bib Liner.

Hi there, could you please tell me the difference between Trail Lightweight Shorts and the Trail Fast and Light Shorts?
These shorts are the same. We simply renamed them when we made our second generation of them.

Hi there, Can you please tell me the fit / cut difference between these (Trail Lightweight Shorts), the Trail Fast and Light Shorts and the Trail shorts? Inseam length etc. Thanks
The Trail Lightweight Shorts have a 29 cm inseam based on a size M and the Trail Shorts have a 34 cm inseam based on a size M. Both style's inseams change by 1 cm between sizes.
The Trail Lightweight Shorts also have a slimmer fit than the regular Trail Shorts.

I’m a 32” waist and according to the size guide I am between a small and a medium. Which size would you recommend?
Hello, I would recommend selecting the medium if you are between sizes. Because these also have adjustable straps on both sides you can cinch them in to get a better fit if you need to.
