High-performance winter tights

Deep into the coldest season, these tights will keep you warm but stop you overheating thanks to a dual-fabric construction inspired by the Pro Team Jacket.

The wind-blocking DWR (durable water repellent) fabric on the front panels gives necessary protection from the elements while the breathable fabric on the rear allows sweat to be released from the back of the tights. A nifty innovation to stop you sweating in traditionally thick winter wear.

The chamois is in the same position as in the Pro Team Bib Shorts, staying stable and comfortable during even high-intensity efforts in the drops. The bib straps are constructed from a lightweight mesh, and the tights' waist is raised to offer insulation across the torso, keeping the lower back warm. Finished with bright details for visibility in low light.

Reviews:

‟Heading out on a couple of early morning rides with a temperature of about 2°C, my legs were toasty warm. And thanks to the breathable fabric at the back of the legs, I never experienced any overheating, even as the temperature moved up into double figures after a five-hour ride. For riding in really bad weather these tights are about the best I've ever tested.”
‟Fit is an area Rapha generally do extremely well, and these are extremely comfortable bib tights. The DWR treated material does not have a great deal of stretch, but thanks to the smart cut of the various panels there is no restriction on your freedom of movement when pedalling. The fit is good around the hips, bum and crotch area too, and the flat wide bib straps exert no undue pressure on your shoulders.”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Just bought these as I’m a huge fan of the bids. Just took out on a 50 mile ride, 38 degrees and 12 mph winds. Warmed up to 48. Never got cold, never got hot. Chamois was great, comfort was great. The legs never rode up and held position. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible! One of the best Rapha products I have ever purchased. I have ridden this last week alone in freezing temperatures, rain and through a flooded road - I didn’t feel a thing. I honestly cant recommend these enough!! I have cancelled my Zwift subscription I am that impressed, I will not longer need a trainer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Pants I've only been able to use these pants twice so far, but I'm looking forward to the next time I get to wear them. They hold up nicely on cold and wet days, keeping my legs warm and dry. They look sharp and there was simply nothing uncomfortable about them. This is my first experience with Rapha's chamois and it may be the most comfortable I've ever used. Everything stayed in place and provided hours of comfort. I found that they fit quite snug but they didn't restrict my movement at all, which I have dealt with before with other brands. These pants will help to motivate me to get outside on those miserable Autumn/Winter days because I know that they can stand up to the elements.

Asked by: Chelseatones
Hi, because we are all different in shape and preference of fit regardless of our weight and height, we do ask you to please refer to the size guide as far as possible. I have a paid of the most recent core bib shorts in xs - how does the pad and size compare in these? I have a 32" inside leg, wondered if xs would still be suitable? Also, is thr pad the same?

Asked by: Hunty95
The XS would be a suitable size for you based on your previous purchases. The Pro Team Pad is a plusher, thicker pad than the Core Team version

How windproof are these? Is the construction windproof panelling?

Asked by: hunty95
The garment has wind-blocking DWR (durable water repellent) fabric on the front panels and gives necessary protection from the elements while the breathable fabric on the rear allows sweat to be released from the back of the tights.

Anyone used these in Australian (east coast) winters? Wondering it they will get too hot as winter morning rides in Sydney may start off sub-10 degrees celsius but can get up to as much as 16 degrees celsius by mid-morning/midday.

Asked by: slau1973
Hi, these tights are designed for use from 0-10/11 degrees Celsius. In temperatures above this, it would be best to wear 3/4 Bib Shorts or leg warmers.
