Robust and streamlined bib shorts for cold training and race conditions. With longer legs than summer shorts and brushed-backs, they insulate but also give enough range of movement for high-tempo riding.

Insulated bib shorts for cold conditions

Created for early season or cold conditions, fleece-backed shorts have long been a staple of racers on the continent racing and training in the late/early season. Worn with leg or knee warmers, they are incredibly versatile giving enough range of movement and protection from the cold.

Made from a soft but supportive Lycra with an insulating Thermoroubaix fleece inner, the shorts are longer in the leg than regular summer-season bibs with a dense mesh back for additional warmth and breathability.

Reviews:

"For the money, this is a solid short, and one that can take a pounding both on the road and in the washing machine."
Matthew Beaudin, Velonews »

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extemely Versatile These are top notch. It is obvious that Rapha quality and fit is worth the money and these bibs are no exception. But the real win with these shorts is their usefulness during the shoulder season(s). Pair these up with leg warmers and you have an extremely versatile piece for your kit arsenal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for winter! I bought these in the sale and have tried down at 0C. Perfect. With leg warmers, these are much difference to wearing full tights. Slightly tighter than normal classics but very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute Stormtrooper of a bibshort Bought for winter, used for first time on 230km ride in 10 degrees and gusting winds. 10 hours in the saddle and absolutely no issues of any sort. Comfy ride the whole way. In fact if my legs had held up as well as these shorts it would of been a much smoother experience. Must have for winter

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Comfortable Of all of the Rapha shorts I own, and I think I have every model, these are my favorite. They are very comfortable in temperatures up to seventy. The fit and feel is really spot on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fall/spring bibs This was my second pair of Pro Team Thermal Bibs. My first pair got so much use in the spring/fall, I really needed a second pair. These are perfect for cooler season riding and are just the right thickness. I especially like that they are slightly longer than the normal pro team bibs for more coverage. The fit is typical pro team. I'm 6'4" and 182 lbs and and i can wear a Large or an XL. If you are tall and struggle with bib straps being too short, go with the next size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for tall riders I brought these shorts because I'm 6ft 4 and long of leg so perfect for me with longer leg, they fit well and the pad is really good.

are these shorts being discontinued or are they getting revised like the other pro team into the pro team II? I will buy them if discontinued, but would wait to buy new line if same changes were made.

Hi. I am 5ft10 / 155 pounds. Would you recommend a M or a L. (I have last year's Wiggins bib shorts in a L and they were a bit too large). Also, at what max temperature in celcius would it still be comfortable to ride in these?

Asked by: Adam S
We would recommend based on your dimensions and previous experience, that the Medium would be a more suitable size

Hi, I have a brevit bib short and fit in a medium, would you suggest a medium would be same/ similar fit in the pro fit?

Asked by: Adrianxr5
The Pro Team range are a tighter fitting garment. You could go a size up if you prefer the same level of comfortability that you enjoy with the Brevet range.

What is the difference between these and the regular thermal bib shorts. Which are warmer?

Asked by: Basilleroux
Hi, the difference between these and the Classic Thermal Bib Shorts is the fit. The Pro Team Thermal Bib Shorts have a close, race ready fit in line with the Pro Team range whilst the Classic version have a more relaxed fit. Both are equally warm.

What length (inseam) are these shorts, and how do you measure this? I have a pair of large core shorts which are stated as 24cm but are closer to 29cm when I measure from the centre of the chamois to the bottom of the cuff.

Asked by: BenAngelo
Hi, these shorts are 4cm longer than the Core Bib Shorts in each size.
