Rapha’s WorldTour bib shorts, improved

With a completely overhauled design for 2017, the Pro Team Bib Shorts II were designed for training and racing in the world’s biggest races. Rapha has worked hard to improve the comfort of these bib shorts, with a new dual-density chamois pad that provides more support and comfort even under duress. The pad changes in thickness according to your size (previously, one size pad was used in all bib shorts), ensuring a superior fit.

The bibs have a unique thigh gripper printed directly onto the fabric of the shorts, making for a low profile finish that supports your legs with fewer seams. The upper section of the bibs has also been re-engineered to provide more stretch and support, with less pressure over your shoulders. Folded bonded edges on each upper strap allow for a low profile underneath your jersey, and the multiple colour options allow for greater matching with other Pro Team products.

The bibs are available in two lengths, regular and long, with a difference between leg lengths of approximately 1 inch. Long shorts are for taller riders or those who prefer more thigh coverage. The leading edge of Rapha performance technology, for the edge of your saddle.

Reviews

"I tested a pair of the previous generation Pro Team shorts in 2013, and they're still part of my regular cycling wardrobe, and showing no sign of falling apart. I've been riding with these new Pro Team II shorts as much as possible over the past couple of months, wearing them as soon as they've dried from a wash, and thus far durability has been similarly impressive."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Quality! I owned 3 pairs of these in longer length. I love the fitting and very breathable. Best bibs I've owned so far even compared that to the Original Pro Team and the lightweight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great fit and comfortable Tried on and felt great. Good fit. not had the chance to go out in them just yet but they felt very comfortable on. The padding is slightly smaller than the classic IIs and the material is thinner but still pretty happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great chamois, snug fit Have ridden these a few times now, and find them just great. The chamois pad is just perfect for me. I am 180 tall with muscular tighs and the size L I have feels very tight standing up, but feels fine on the bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must to have I heard many times, about the quality and performances of these bibs among my friends, but I was never too sure to get them, because of the price. I am happy I finally did, I can say these are by far the best bib shorts I have ever tried. Greats for long distance rides, materials quality are upstanding. I 100% recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Somehow they took the best bibs, and made them bet All the features you loved with the original PT bibs, refined and subtly improved. From about 45 degrees F up to hot and humid summer temps these bibs just perform without intrusion into your ride. And isn't that the ultimate feature, to disappear as though you forgot they were there?

Hello, I have size L Classic 2 bibshorts. How is the length of these ”regular” and ”long” version of Pro Team 2 bibshorts (also size L) compared to Classic 2 series?

Asked by: Maek
Hi, the Classic Bib Shorts II will be just slightly shorter than the Pro Team Bib Shorts II Regular. The Long leg option is approximately 3 centimeters longer than the Regular and approximately 4 centimeters longer than the Classic Bib Shorts II leg length.

Hi - I am 6ft 5in tall and have a 38in waist. What size bib and leg length would you recommend please?

Asked by: Bigsigh
Hi, because fit is not just dependent on height and weight but mostly on each body shape and customer's personal preference to how customer's prefer garments to fit, it is hard for us to be exact in sizing advice. Though with the measurements you have given us we suggest you try a XXL and in Long. Should you need to exchange or refund, we have a 90 days return period for new/unused garments with tags and in saleable condition.

I am 193cm with a comparatively tall torso vs legs. Waist 85, inner leg around 81. Size L tend to be big but strap fit can be difficult with size M. What size of Pro team BIB shorts would you recommend?

Asked by: Frwe01
The Pro Team Shorts have a race fit but based upon your dimensions a medium ize could be the appropriate option.

Does the chamois have a sewn seam down the center of the chamois like the original pro team short? In other words is the chamois two parts joined together with a sewn seam down the middle of the chamois?

Asked by: unclevil
The Chamois is one piece and the central stitching is to ensure that the shape of matches the short and does not deform when riding

Hi, I wear a medium in the classic bibs, 32inch waist. Which size is recommended in the Pro's. Thank you.

Asked by: smithy70
The Pro Team Range has a closer race fit then our other garments, so you could try a large in our Pro Team collection.
