The RCC Pro Team Rain Jacket is constructed with the lightest and most breathable 3-layer fabric in the GORE-TEX family for complete waterproof protection without compromise on breathability or packability. With a durable woven face fabric, GORE-TEX Active™ delivers added durability when compared with GORE-TEX Shakedry™ jackets. A newly developed lightweight waterproof membrane guarantees Black Diamond-certified protection, while a C-knit backer ensures comfort next to the skin. At just 84gsm, the fabric has a very low pack volume which, combined with minimal trims, make it easy to stow in a pocket. The jacket’s ergonomic fit is designed for comfort in an on-bike position and optimised for layering with base layers and jerseys. The two-way zip provides extra ventilation and easy access to jersey pockets, while the mesh-lined collar is raised for maximum protection against the elements. Available only to members, this version comes complete with the Club’s signature stripes and crest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cycling jacket I've ever bought. I bought this for riding Lands End to John O'Groats in late April early May. The jacket is 100% waterproof, totally windproof and highly breathable. It was used on days it rained (poured) and days it didn't but I wanted a bit of warmth without the bulk. When not in use it packs up surprisingly small and is easily the most impressive and versatile bit of cycling kit I own. I did however have one small but annoying issue, which is that the zip pull pulled clean off ! A paper clip fixed the problem and of course Rapha replaced it without question when I returned. Despite that it is still a 5 star piece of clothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best rain jacket bar none I don't usually review products, but I'm making an exception for this. Unquestionably the best rain jacket I've ever owned (and I've owned a lot including probably every Rapha one ever made). Stood up to everything a full blown Scottish winter could throw at it - including one 4 hour group ride where the roads turned to rivers - without letting in a drop of water. Other riders jackets failed after the first hour. Good temperature management in winter and (Scottish) summer. Got it when they came out and still looks like new after quite a bit of abuse and after all that, rolls up and fits into a jersey pocket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stunning look and design but still doesn’t breathe The design and cut of the jacket are just wonderful. Runs a bit slim fit but all the Pro gear does, so no surprise there. The material is nice and does keep any rain or moisture out. However, I am yet to find a waterproof garment which truly breathes. While this jacket kept the wind and rain out it wasn’t able to dissipate the heat and sweat I generated so I ended up wet inside anyway. I also miss at least one side pocket for keys or little things. Hence the 4 stars

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Changer I tend to “run hot” and therefore all previous rain jackets have been useless as they were just sweat garments - including the previous version of this. HOWEVER no such problem with this it is extremely waterproof and extremely breathable, if you’re thinking of buying but worried it’s like all previous rain jackets rest assured this is a game changer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart protection from the elements This is the perfect jacket to have in the back pocket on any ride in case the weather turns bad and definitely the best I have ever owned. As advertised, it is completely waterproof (tested in downpours) and highly breathable so you don’t get that boil-in-the bag feeling. This was true of the previous RCC rain jacket. However, this one is thicker, sturdier, and windproof (also tested in wintry headwinds at around freezing temperatures!) Because of its breathability it is also comfortable to wear all day. The double-zip means you can open the bottom a little to make it easier to access back pockets in your jersey underneath, though I sometimes wish that it had a pocket of its own. I usually take a size small in Rapha clothing and the small size is perfect. It is cut to allow space for layers underneath but does not balloon or flap in the wind. Finally, it just looks smart. Several club members that I have ridden with recently have been wearing this jacket and they all look great in it! Even though I have ridden it on many rides already, I have not needed to wash it yet. Any dirt can be easily wiped off and it stays fresh. Of course, it is a lot to pay for a rain jacket but really this has quickly become my favourite bit of kit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall a great wardrobe addition Great rain jacket that (although I haven't tried) would fit in to your jersey pocket. Breathable and waterproof with just enough wind resistance to wear as light jacket over more thermal layers during winter - which is exactly how I have been wearing it. Lighter than the previous Race Cape rain jacket which isn't nearly as breathable. My only minor gripe is with the print on the jacket, just feels a little heavy/thick, almost like it would leave a permanent crease if folded/rolled tight. Otherwise a great addition to the winter wardrobe.

There are improvements improvements to the wristbands and waistband. The reflexive bits are always a plus. The only think I think it is missing is a stuff pocket to make it easier to pack up.

Cons: Shoulder width is wayyyy too tight - while very ;'aero' on the bike, very restrictive otherwise; torso and waist otherwise fits perfectly. I have purchased size large for all my Rapha jacket/jersey/baselayer purchases with perfect fit. I'd recommend upsizing on this one.

Is this just a rain jacket meant for putting on/taking off during rainy periods or could this jacket be incorporated as part of a layering strategy for windy/cooler winter rides too?

This jacket is meant to be used primarily in the rain, but it would work well as a lighter weight top layer as well on a cooler ride.

Hello, I'm interested in this jacket for a different purpose (playing golf) and wonder about the fitting to have the best "moveability" within the upper body. For example, under the arms. I seem to fit the profile for "L". is it really body clinging?

The Pro Team Gore-Tex Jacket is quite form fitting as the Pro Team line has more of a race fit. We would recommend the Brevet Gore-Tex Rain Jacket for more room to move in the chest and arms if you wish to play golf in it.

Whats the shoulder width of the L and XL jacket? i m afraid that it will be too tight on the shoulder.

The shoulder width of this jacket in a size XL is 44.5 cm. The size L is smaller in the shoulders by about 3 cm.

Can I wear this during rainy season but warm? Like rainy season in Japan is late June with 25deg celcius.  During the winter, can I wear it as overtop to winter jacket?

This jacket may be a bit warm in 25 degrees Celsius, but you can wear it over a Winter Jacket in the Winter. We do recommend sizing up if you do this though as the Pro Team fit is a tight race fit.

I already have the RCC Pro Team Insulated Gilet (size S) and Jacket (size M, as it is very fit). What is the difference between the RCC Pro Team Insulated Jacket and the RCC Pro Team Gore-Tex Rain Jacket, and what size could suit me?

The difference between the Pro Team Insulated Jacket and the RCC Pro Team Gore-Tex Rain Jacket is the insulation (warmth) of the PRO TEAM INSULATED GORE-TEX RAIN JACKET. We recommend a size S in the RCC Pro Team Gore-Tex Rain Jacket as it will fit a bit less snug that your insulated jacket without the insulated lining.

I already have the Pro Team Goratex Lightweight jacket. Would I find use for this one? What is the difference? Which one is more packable?

The main difference is that the RCC Pro Team Gore-Tex Rain Jacket, while still very packable at 84gsm is a bit less lightweight than the Pro Team Gore-Tex Lightweight Jacket (49gsm). Both jackets are equally good options for riding in the rain, the RCC Jacket is just a tiny bit thicker.
