Highly technical cycling gloves for cold and wet conditions

The Deep Winter Gloves are made from innovative technical fabrics and constructed for excellent protection without compromising control. The outer shell uses a windproof, stretch nylon with a Durable Water Repellent treatment, which is then filled with Primaloft® insulation. A waterproof and breathable OutDry® membrane is then bonded to the shape of the shell to give an excellent fit (as opposed to the ‘floating’ liners used in many gloves) and finished with an insulating tricot lining against the skin.

The inside of the palm features a different Primaloft® insulation, originally created for snowsports and treated with a resin so it won’t slip against your skin when gripping the bars. Rapha’s trademark military-grade padding also features in key wear areas.

The palm has a synthetic suede outer face, providing abrasion resistance. Elasticated cuffs with a velcro closure are designed to fit snugly around a jacket sleeve. The gloves also feature reflective stripes and logos, as well as soft wipes on both thumbs.

Please note: The Deep Winter Gloves have been designed to accommodate the Merino Liners to add extra warmth on especially cold days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly warm! If you can't sacrifice the dexterity for 'lobster claw' gloves, these are the winter riding gloves for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super warm and comfortable. These gloves are great! Just used them for the first time on a cold (28-34°F) group ride. My hands stayed warm, and were comfortable even in the drops. They do run a tad large so you can use merino liners in super cold weather. The extra space in the glove wasn’t an issue at all. Highly recommended!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok but not great The gloves are OK but expected exceptional warmth at this price point.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not warm enough for people with bad circulation I need to preface with the fact that my blood circulation is not great. Still, I was hoping that these were the gloves that would finally keep me warm while riding in the winter. With the liners, these gloves are sufficient for me from 0 to 5 degrees celsius for my 15-kilometer commute to work. (Over 5, I can survive without the liners.) They can be ok by -5 to 0 for a really hilly weekend ride where I'm pushing myself a lot. If it's below 0 for my commute, I actually need to put 'hot hands' in my gloves---otherwise, when I arrive, I yell for several minutes from the pain of the blood finally coming back to my fingers. Given the insanely high price and the claim that these are 'deep winter' gloves, I expected much, much warmer gloves. Just below freezing hardly qualifies as deep winter in my book.
