The new Brevet Mitts have been updated to remove as many stitched seams as possible for improved comfort and reduced weight. The palms are made using a high-grade synthetic suede developed for use by the US military, providing extremely high abrasion resistance and resulting in a long-lasting mitt.

An updated and expanded Poron memory foam pad reduces pressure build-up and helps guard against nerve damage and discomfort on vulnerable parts of the hand. Reflective Brevet stripes feature on the back of the hand, bonded rather than stitched. A new, more streamlined velcro closure at the cuff reduces bulk and features a raised rubber Rapha logo. Two pull tabs feature on the fingers of each glove for easy removal.

My experience with Rapha product quality has been so good that I didn't believe the reviews--- thought it must have been a fluke. Well, the gloves fit great, felt good, and just like the other reviewers had noted, the stitching started to unravel the third time I wore them! Not so good for $80 gloves! The good news was that Rapha gave me a full refund right away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Almost satisfied! In choosing a pair of gloves you have to pay attention to many things so you’ll find a pair that is satisfying enough. I almost found such a pair - at least in terms of fit and comfort for the hot / humid / wet weather here. But after just 3 weeks the stitching has come undone across 1 thumb and 2 fingers on them same hand. After buying so many Rapha items - this is the first item to fail! Not good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Lush than Classic, Lil' Less Fall Protection I've used the Pro Team Mitts, Classic Mitts, and these Brevet Mitts. The Classic and Brevet are largely similar. I prefer the Classic and have just bought a second pair. I will rate these mitts according to these categories: Fit, Palm Material, and Backhand Material. Fit: The Brevet Mitts are in between the Pro Team Mitts and the Classic Mitts in terms of where the mitts terminate at the wrist. I like the mitts to be as unobtrusive as possible so I didnt really like these Brevet ones as they ride up the wrist like the Pro Team Mitts, about to where your wrist bone is. The Classic is way below that, making it more airy. Palm Material: Very important for long ride or if your riding position puts weight on your hoods. The Brevet padding is slightly thicker than the Classic which makes it more comfortable as it relieves pressure on your palm. The seam between the thumb and the index finger is less pronounced on the Brevet than on the Classic, making it super comfortable out of the box. The palm outer material is where the Classic wins by a mile. Being made of polyester, the Brevet mitts do not stand a chance against road rash. One fall was enough to completely rip the palm material open. These Brevet mitts were about 3 weeks old. My Classic on the other hand survived two falls, with the sheep leather holding up albeit some minor seam separation which I easily sewed back. Backhand Material: Very important for ventilation and sweat management. The Brevet's backhand material is similar to the Classic. Thin enough for ventilation and durable enough to last repeated washes (if the Brevet uses the same nylon/elastane material as the Classic). The 'Sweat Wiping' Backhand Panel: the portion of the mitt on the backhand in between the index and thumb where you would use to wipe your sweat. This panel material is different on the Brevet. The Brevet's sweat wiping panel is made of a marginally thicker material that is a tiny bit more 'furry' than the palm's polyester, which is perfect for absorbing sweat droplets from your eyebrows. The Classic does not have this. Instead, the Classic's 'Sweat Wiping' panel is made from the same elastane material as the rest of its backhand. This elastane material degrades with sweat. Long story short: Get these Brevet mitts if you are a steady group ride kind of rider that appreciates a pair of road-buzz dampening pair of lush comfortable mitts. These mitts would be perfect in cooler countries. Get the Classic if you want a more stylish and durable version of the Brevet with some compromise on backhand material and wrist ventilation. Get the Pro Team mitts if you are very comfortable hoods and like a very lightweight pair of mitts with minimal padding.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from £65 for a pair of fingerless gloves. Ok, let’s address the elephant in the room. Yes I paid £66 (with postage £70) for these mitts, I can only say that ‘want’ overruled ‘need’. Now the review: Fit = good, Comfort = good, Style = good. Construction = poor, Quality = fair, Value for money = very poor. I have had these gloves for around a month and the stitching on one of the thumbs is already coming away. They are just not worth £65, just look at them they are fingerless mitts and they cost £65! You can buy mitts at half the price that are better made and just as comfortable. You might read this review and buy them anyway, after all I did. But when you have them in your hands you will think “I paid £65 (or equivalent) for these?!?! I have other pieces of kit from the Brevet range and they are excellent…but these mitts do not warrant paying £65, £35 maybe but not £65.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brevet Cycle Mitts - mitts that fits Initially, when these arrived I was a bit sceptical; they seemed somewhat flimsy and I thought they were a little tight, however, a month and a half of use and I gotta say I love 'em. They are very comfortable, I hardly notice I'm wearing them and the fabric has relaxed and they now fit like, well...like a glove.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good glove, fiddly strap. Bought these to replace my old pair which have fallen apart after approx 2 years of (warm weather) daily commute use. Unfortunately the new design velcro strap is a lot smaller and more fiddly for my hands (and more frequently my teeth, which when riding is the main release technique for me) so I am marking this new pair down from what would have been 4 stars. Padding seems to be slightly different arrangement, but so far is comfortable. Gloves start quite tight, but have stretched out to fit as per usual.

What is the difference in women vs men gloves are the sizes different?

I have a pair of the Brevett Mitts purchased in 2020 that are less tan 2 years old and the stitching on the palm area where the join to the gel has 30% pulled &nbsp;away and opened up at the padding join. I would have thought they should have last longer.&nbsp;
