Description

These insulating, comfortable leg warmers combine the natural performance properties of merino wool with Spandex for stretch and durability. The full-length version provides extra insulation and the fabric is also highly breathable and high wicking. The leg warmers are quick drying so can be used in a variety of conditions. Flatlock stitching throughout ensures the leg warmers won’t chafe and soft gripper holds them securely in place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superbly comfortable, very warm and perfect fit Initially tried these out on an early morning (before 6am) October ride (in the UK) and the first few minutes I felt like I'd maybe made a purchase mistake. Being merino wool they are quite thin, almost see through in places, and it felt like they weren't giving any warmth. However, within a very short space of time my legs warmed up nicely and for the remainder of the ride they proved very comfortable, very warm and very well fitted (I use a Medium and I'm 182cm/72kg). Have used them several times since on rides below 10 degrees and they have provided warmth and comfort on all of them. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic layering accessory! I bought the merino arm warmers and love them. Great even in light rain and doesn't get soaked and wicks off to some degree and keeps you warm. So I thought the leg warmers would be similar and they definitely are good for extra layering for the shoulder season as it's starting to get colder. I have used these with a pair of commuter merino tights that are 3/4 length and the extra extension of the leg warmers are the perfect combination in 1 deg C weather. Good for those dry, cold days and stays in place fairly well without shifting and not too tight. Sizing is pretty accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect price/value/quality ratio It’s a great piece of cycling gear! Price/value ration is perfect! I’d say if you are ready to invest even though you are on a tight budget is well worth it! I wear them in late autumn and warm winter days, as well as early spring when it’s too hot for tights and too cold for bib shorts alone. It’s an ideal combo for me: merino leg warmers and bib shorts. The beauty of the engineering of this product is that it’s BREATHABLE but keeps you warm. When it’s too hot, I just pack them in my back pocket - they extremely light and flexible!!! And the way they stick to the leg - never had to pull them up - never! I am Rapha S.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great at 28 deg F Got these leg warmers a couple weeks ago and first tried them out on a ride from Parkdale OR to Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood. The temp leaving Parkdale was 28 deg F (-2 deg C) and when I finished 3½ hours later at the lodge it was 42 deg F (5.5 deg C). I experienced intermittent rain and head-winds exceeding 15 mph (24 kph) during the ride. Through it all, the Merino leg warmers, the only leg protection worn, kept me warm. Fantastic product. I highly recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, Warm, Comfy. What more do you need? I wish I had gotten these years earlier. They are light and easy to pack, and they are light and warm. And not itchy. These leg warmers are as warm as my cycling tights, but lighter and less constricting than the tights. They are perfect for shoulder season when a ride starts cold but the weather gets warmer later on--you can just stop and take these off, and they fit easily into a jersey pocket. Finally, the leg warmers have decent wind resistance--I don't feel the wind tearing through them like with a lot of jerseys.

I’ve worn these out on cold, damp rides and they have kept my legs lovely and warm. So much so, that I’d be happier wearing these than bib longs. They pack down really small, so if you get too hot, you can always stuff them in a jersey pocket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly versatile kit I actually think that these merino leg warmers are amongst the best kit that I've ever purchased! Adding these to my kit meant that all my summer bib shorts can be used all through Sydney winters. The merino prevents odours, so they can be used a number of times - meaning these leg warmers essentially give me the same benefits of having 4 pairs of long bibs! They are thin and light weight, yet manage to keep my legs warm at all times. The sizing is about right. I have shortish legs and the mediums fit fine. The quality seems good after a few months of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best thing The best item from Rapha. It doesn’t irritates or bunch up. Stays in place with the silicone grips and is so thin but so warm on the coldest rides. Breathable too. Its like it can adjust to you body’s temperature. Don’t use it in the rain. It’s not rain proof. Will absorb the water splash. I only use it on dry cold rides. I have another Rapha leg warmer for rain proof rides. Hand wash it to make it last longer.

There is no special care instructions for washing the Merino warmers. Machine or hand wash at -40degree C. Use Merino wash, wool or non-bio detergent and hang dry.
