Overall great30L is a good size and and easily fits everything for a weekend trip with its expandable roll top. The bag has a hard back panel that keeps the shape and frame, which also makes the bag look decent when it’s not full.
Things that could be improved:
I wish the outside pockets were large enough to fit a book, I find it extremely difficult to take things out of the main component when moving (say on the tube). I would recommend rapha to merge the 2 outside pockets into 1.
Separate laptop component would be nice as seen on the Patagonia black hole bag.
The bag is tall and wide but very thin and flat (shallow depth), I wish the ratio was more balanced.

Versatile, high quality bag for on or off the bikeI’ve always wanted to ride to the office and needed a bag that could fit all the essentials for the day: chargers, laptop, iPad, smart water bottle, shoes, clothes, shower supplies etc., that could also be comfortable to ride in. This bag from Rapha greatly exceeded my expectations. The 30L is spacious and allows itself to even by overstuffed with items when necessary while maintaining a slim profile width wise. It works so well I’m contemplating taking only this bag on my next business trip (no other carry on or checked bag). The side front pockets are just big enough to told a HidrateSpark Pro 24 oz plastic smart water bottle. I love the high vis pink interior, it’s certainly a conversation starter. One thing the bag is missing might be some pen or pencil holders but this is a minor gripe. I ended up using a side pocket of a dopp case for dry erase markers and other work items I want to keep organized to bring to the office (we no longer have dedicated cubes in the hybrid work environment so everything I need must come with me for the day), while also organizing shower supplies. This bag is well made and high quality. I’ll use this for bike commutes, travel, and could even see using it on a hike.

Great bag, no real complaintsGot the cream coloured version in the sale, it's a communting bag so colour really wasn't a big deal for me, I did think it might get marked easily due to the light colour but it cleans up really well with a damp cloth, it's absolutely waterproof, the long front pockets perhaps aren't the most useful shape but they are big enough for a few bits and sturdy zips that function perfectly one handed (no catching) which is great. Some reviews mentioned the odd dimensions of the bag and having come from the zipped travel bag I did wonder if a rolltop bag with only way in would get frustrating but I like the way it works

Great bag for a daily commuteThis bag is great and an improvement on the previous version. The bright pink lining inside makes finding stuff inside very easy. I've used it for a month and had it in the rain a good few times and everything has stayed bone dry. It is comfy to carry and the addition on the chest strap makes it sit better when carrying a heave load.

Commute, daily life, holiday - the go toI’ll keep this simple and hit the key features. It’s a great back, holds well during cycling and also walking around. It’s very comfortable for both. Side pockets have a key attachment for one compartment, a loop in the other. One side has an additional zipped compartment, great for holding a passport and giving you that confidence it would need two zip openings to run away! Reflective panels are solid and well placed. 10/10

Does the jobServes me well, both for daily commuting and some week-long work trips. Would be good to have separate access to the laptop compartment.

Hi what's the difference between the 20L and 30L bag? And do you have the dimensions of both please?
Thanks
Asked by: Dannykeith
The 30L backpack is just larger and has 2 front pockets. The 20L backpack is smaller and has one front pocket.
Overall, all sizes are somewhat estimate, as the width and depth has been measured at the bottom panel, but as bags drape somewhat, it will be slightly different when measuring width at the middle for example.
Also, when measuring rolled, we have used 5 tight rolls, but this will also differ somewhat depending on load.
20L:
Width at bottom panel - 29cm
Depth at bottom panel - 12cm
Height unrolled: 71cm
Height rolled: 45-50cm (measured when empty)
30L:
Width at bottom panel - 29cm
Depth at bottom panel - 16cm
Height unrolled: 74cm
Height rolled: 45-50cm (measured when empty)

Is the internal compartment just one big area or is it partitioned in some way (aside from the laptop compartment, that is)?
Asked by: Struyk
The main compartment is not partitioned other than the laptop compartment but there are two front pockets as well.

Does the bag have compression straps or a similar mechanism to keeps loads tight if the bag isn’t fully loaded?
Asked by: Anonymouse
Hello, the top roll backpacks do not have an internal strap. The top roll will come down a reasonable amount and can of course be tightened tightly on the outside, but there is no internal fixing system.

The measurements for this back pack are
Width at bottom panel - 29cm

Does mud wipe off the sand colour easily?
Asked by: Crooks
The Sand colour does indeed clean up nicely. For easier messes, a damp towel will suffice; and for tougher messes, you can use some gentle cleaner.

Hi. Can you explain what the “bike specific” outside pocket is designed for? It doesn’t fit a standard sized U-Lock.
Asked by: Bradstanks11
This is so the pocket, although larger than a typical jersey pocket, could be accessed while riding as it zips vertically, not horizontally like many other backpack designs.
It is essentially a larger version of the smaller essentials pocket on the previous rendition of the backpack.
