Chapeau to fearlessness
Tom Simpson’s 1965 World Championship win changed the face of British cycling. San Sebastian and the rest of the cycling world had never seen anything like it – a British rider smashing the field apart and beating renowned German sprinter, Rudi Altig, in the final 15km. This cap bears the mark of that legacy.
Made from a lightweight and technical cotton, the cap features details designed to complement the Tom Simpson Jersey. Along with World Championship stripes, there is a ‘TS65’ cross on one side, and a Simpsonissimo headline on the other. The cap is highly water resistant, windproof and extremely breathable.
A portion of the proceeds from the Rapha Tom Simpson Jersey and Cap will be donated to the Simpson family and used for maintenance of the Tom Simpson memorial on Mont Ventoux.
