Awesome liners
They breathe extremely well. Pinkbike's biggest complaint was the pockets on the back not being able to hold water. I did a ride with some 6 miles of descent, 30+mph in the Denver area with a small bottle in my back pocket and it never came out. SO TAKE THAT PINKBIKE. Pockets were also great for my keys and other storage too. The chamois might be even more comfortable than my other road bibs, because I did not even notice them.

Functional but Uncomfortable
The pockets are great on these, they even have a little lip to hold things in. I have an iPhone 12 mini and it stays in perfectly, anything bigger will stick out. The fit leaves a lot to be desired however which really surprised me given that Rapha specialises in bib shorts. The straps are tight and constantly noticeable, the legs ride up super high and need pulled down all the time. The combination of the two actually gives me a wedgie and i’m not just saying that for comedic effect! The sign of good cycling gear is that it goes un noticed, these certain don’t meet that criteria. The pad is okay, although I was disappointed to see the Pro Team pad in there as I have had countless of these fail on me (they tear). Hopefully this one holds up as it seems akin to the PT Training short. For reference I am 180cm and weigh 73kg

Poor pad design. Avoid.
I understand that comfort and fit are subjective but the pad in these is two-piece, a seam runs down the middle of the pad - resulting in unnecessary friction on rides longer than an hour. Total design fail.
OK for short spin sessions but then you don't need cargo bibs on a static bike.
Not as comfortable as bibs that I use that cost a fraction of the retail price. Poor.

Fatal design flaw
Unfortunately for me these bib liners have a fatal design flaw: the upper mesh portion is like a cheese grater across the nipples. I went on one short ride with these and my poor nipples were completely raw after being grated back and forth for a couple hours. I bought these hoping to use them for longer tours and bikepacking trips, but unfortunately the only way I'd be able to use them would be to put base a layer underneath to prevent the stitching and mesh area from causing unbearable chafing. Other Rapha bibs (which are excellent) do not have have the mesh / stitching crossing horizontally near the chest which is the source of the problem. I wish I had noticed this before deciding to keep them. For reference, I am 5'8" and 150lbs, and would strongly discourage anyone from purchasing these who is near myself in height.

About what you’d expect
The liner is well ventilated and the materials feel like what you’d expect from a premium brand. However, the pockets seem on the smaller side allowing a gel pack or two and a car key.

Perfect piece of kit
I wear baggy shorts on the MTB in all conditions. These brought a noticeable relief on a hot day. Could not ask for a better chamois! I'm 6'2" 165lbs and medium fit perfectly.

Great Bib Shorts - 10/10 for comfort.
I bought these bib shorts for my husband, as he’s an avid cycler. He had just purchased the full bib tights, but doesn’t have much spring/summer cycling gear. These are so far brilliant and exactly what he needed.
Also a shout out to Rafa customer services. Had a couple of issues with a couple of Christmas gifts, and was refunded in full and told we could keep the item.
Personally, as a relatively new cyclist widow, I’d highly recommend Rafa.

Good Bib but pockets not great
The bibs are decent quality and comfortable enough and made to be used under a short for warmer wether. However the pockets in the rear were difficult to use and the top kep[t getting tucked into them, they are small and I found if I put a water bottle in there it kept falling out.

poorly ventilated back
I bought them primarily for relaxed touring on my gravel bike during summer weekends. So far, I’ve mostly used them in hot weather, paired with trail shorts. The pad is decent, and the grippers work well. The sides of the legs are quite well ventilated. However, what I didn’t like is the lack of ventilation in the back. It might be fine for cooler weather, but in the heat, it doesn’t perform as well.

Good shorts trail liner. Worth the money
Really good trail liner short. Not cheap but not extortionate either. Bought a size L and that fit me well - in cycling gear I’m generally either a L or if it’s Italian branded or race fit an XL. The pocket on the back is a nice touch and a useful place for my phone - especially when wearing jerseys without pockets. The pad I found was very comfortable - my go to is Assos so I have high standards.

High quality liner with pockets
These liners tick all the boxes. They fit well, the shoulder straps are not too tight, the length is good, they breathe well, and the rear pockets are nice to have. I put my phone and wallet there as I do not like them flopping around in my trail shorts. I wish the outer fabric was a bit more grippy as my shorts seem to slide down too easily. On hot days I wear a shorter liner.

Comfort and quality
These are great bib shorts, amazing pad that delivers all day comfort. A quality bit of kit. Size was true to the description and the shoulder straps are good and wide making them very comfortable and perfectly fitted. My first pair of Rapha bib shorts and I will certainly be investing in a pair of road shorts, as this pad is beyond anything I have tried before.

Very comfortable and versatile
These are the bibs I wear most. I'm not a mountain biker but I wear these under normal clothes when I run everyday errands on the bike, and they work wonders. I wear them all day with no problems. Besides that, they're lightweight and the chamois is comfortable so I wear them on the indoor trainer. Very good pair of bibs, might have to get another set.

Just OK
Sizing is different from road bibs, because mountain bikers are bigger? I’m a medium in all road kit and should have bought small. Compared to the Patagonia MTB bibs, these are less ventilated and also don’t have a central pocket for a bottle, which is a sad oversight. The shammy is great though, ample and comfortable for longer rides.

Excellent Bib Tight but needs more pockets
Excellent Bib Tight but needs more pockets. I got a medium and usually wear a medium. I’m a bit heavy at the moment, but these tights fit, well, tight but comfortable. The straps are stretched but also comfortable. Pad is great with tons of comfort. Thinking of getting a 2nd pair for multi day trips.

Fit is everything
Sadly I found these to be “Medium” shorts with “Small” bibs that had little give and resulted in an uncomfortable fit.

Perfect for gravel
These are perfect underneath gravel or MTB shorts. Also great is that they have 2 rear pockets, so you’re not missing out on storage if wearing with a jersey that has no rear pockets itself. They are super lightweight and the fit is exactly in line with other Rapha bibs.

To top it all off…
I bought these bibs as part of a shirt/pants combo and I’m so glad I did. Not more sore butt and no crack hanging out to blind anyone. It’s like an integral part of a uniform. You can’t see it, but it makes all the difference.

Perfect for indoor cycling
I'm very happy with these bibs. I use them for indoor cycling, and they provide the comfort and ventilation that I need. They fit very comfortably, and they make the hours spend riding around in Watopia that much better!

Great Bibs would recommend
These are great bibs for mtb riding. Very comfortable for long days in saddle. The pockets in the back are very useful. The mesh panels helps keep you cool when it’s warm. Can’t really fault them.

Classic Rapha quality.
First time with Bibs for Mtn biking, and these are a great under shorts piece. More forgiving than the road bibs from a movement perspective, and very well ventilated. Highly recommended.

Nice addition for XC rides
So far, so good. Really comfortable and have cut down on the steam during long MTN bike climbs. The pockets on the back are great with a loose shirt and sit above my hip pack.

Trail Liner Shorts
The cargo bib liner shorts are comfortable, not too bulky and provide good support on a mountain bike. Sizing is standard for Rapha ( Large - 185 cm/90 kg). A good investment.

Comfy
Just spent 10+ hours wearing these in the Pisgah Mountain Bike Adventure Race. Not sure my nether region would have survived without these comfortable bibs. Highly recommend!

The best ones i've tried so far for long rides.
Chamois, top notch. Straps, super comfy. Fabric, quality. Only knock, i dont need much room but cutting the chamois short or a pocket up front would make these 10/10 for MTB

Good Cargo Bib
Quite comfortable, I like the pad that is in them. Many pockets on legs and back for items. As far as standard bibs go, this one is good

Nice Bib and fairly comfy.
Like them, fairly comfortable. Would be nice to have a pocket somewhere but lighter sections for cooling for MTB Bib is a trade off
