A long-sleeve layering system in a single garment

Inspired by the Rapha Brevet credo of ‘pack light, travel far’, the multi-functional Brevet Long Sleeve Windblock Jersey fuses the all-day performance of a merino jersey, with the wind-protection of a gilet.

Warm and insulating, an overlaid panel made from the fabric of the Rapha Brevet Gilet has been stitched onto the front of the jersey and the arms, doing away with the need for a windbreaker or a base layer because the panel layers over the jersey fabric. With reflective and hi-vis Brevet stripes on the front and back, and a total of five pockets, this is a versatile piece with ample storage for food and tools. Paired with its ability to be washed and dried overnight, this makes the Brevet Long Sleeve Windblock Jersey the perfect companion for multi-day adventures by bike.

  • Wind-resistant polyester panels stitched to front of the jersey and arms for protection on chilly descents
  • New quick-drying, lightweight merino fabric for comfort in the heat
  • Reflective and hi-vis Brevet stripes on front and back to aid visibility in low-light
  • Two zipped valuables pockets on front of jersey for storage of essentials
  • Triple rear cargo pocket for easy-access storage

Main body:

  • 89% merino wool
  • 11% nylon

  • Machine wash 30ºC
  • Wash dark colours separately
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not iron
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not dry cleanv

Body sizing

Chest: measure underneath the armpits with the tape measure straight around.
Back Length: measure from the bottom of where your collar sits/base of the neck to the bottom of your spine.
Arm length: measure from where the seam would start at shoulder to bottom of the wrist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Jersey I have a number of Rapha jerseys any many of other brands but this is one of the best. The inclusion of the windblock material sets it apart from other Rapha jerseys and makes the jersey very versatile - coupled with a light rain jacket like the Core Rain jacket i expect it will handle most weather from Autumn through to Spring. I was perfectly comfortably at 4c with just a long sleeve base layer underneath and stayed dry during some showers although the bottom of the long sleeves were starting to gather some water. I expect with lighter base layers it will be fine up to 12c but probably will be too warm above that (thats Summer in Scotland !). For persistent rain you will need to put on a rain jacket over the jersey or use a waterproof jersey. I am sure with a rain jacket you will be find down to maybe 0c. The jersey feels very light and breathable but at the same time keeps you warm. I have a Rapha Pro Team Training jacket which I get too hot in above 5c, I will now be using this Brevet jersey instead and use the Pro Team jacket below 4c which it is really good at. The fit is not as tight as the Pro Team range but a Medium is perfect for me (5ft 9 and 11 stone) although the sleeves could be slightly tighter. Overall a very versatile jersey that feels great to wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flat out: best Rapha long sleeve I own multiple colors of this jersey. I find it to be perfect! All that needs to adjust with the weather is: cold? Base later under. Mild: just wear it. Rain: throw the cape on over it. Great amount of storage, perfect fit, great look. Favorite long sleeve item offered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jersey/jacket I've only ridden this once, it was a cloudy day that started around 45F, with sustained 20+mph winds. The ride was three hours long, and this handled everything, temps went up 10F, so pulled the sleeves up, temps dropped again into the upper 30's so dropped the sleeves. Seems very versatile, and offers loads of storage space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really versatile I love this thing, as others have said - great down to single figures, just change base layers accordingly or chuck a gilet on top if really cold. I run hot and this breathes well considering. Always dries overnight when washed so ready to be worn again every day. Good fit, but a little snug on the torso whilst looser in the arms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent addition This jersey is an excellent choice for a cooler, windy day. It combines warmth and the windbreak shell that really keeps the wind out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gear Excellent product and very warm. Rapha sizing is a bit off. I normally wear a medium cycling jersey. I bought a large. It's perfect in the chest and shoulders and just a little long in the sleeve.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for San Francisco I purchased this in Grey (color looks much better in person). In San Francisco, I ride a lot with arm-warmers and a wind vest. This jersey is perfect.

Dose this jersey size come up smaller I am 7ft and a 40inch chest, should I choose large or Medium?

Asked by: Skelly12
We would suggest a Large in this Jersey, but would also recommend looking at items in our Pro Team Aero Range that feature a longer body than other Jerseys

How does the Brevet Windblock Jersey compare/differ from the Winter Windblock Jersey?

Asked by: seaveez
The Winter Windblock Jersey features a heavier weight Merino Jersey and the Windproof front panel has a merino backing that is not part of the Brevet Windblock design. The Brevet Windblock Jersey has reflective contrast detailing for improved visibility in low-light conditions.
