Fire and cobblestone
In tribute to the Queen of the Classics, we ride routes inspired by the cobbles and landscapes of Northern France. We emulate our heroes on the road but make sure to finish our ride with time to watch them race over the cobbles en route to the velodrome. To help you keep a level head whilst riding A Day in Hell, each rider receives a limited edition cap on the startline.
Secure your place
- There are 200 spaces on this year’s event so move quickly to avoid missing the break.
- Each rider receives a special edition A Day in Hell cap at the start before tackling the challenging route.
- After the ride we invite you for frites and a cold beer at Rapha Berlin.
- All tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.
Plotting a route to the south-west of Berlin through the forests of Brandenburg and Nuthetal, A Day in Hell takes in 15 exceptional cobblestone sections including the Hell of Caputh. Rider sign-on begins at the car park in front of Mommsenstadion from 7.30am, with riders leaving in groups of 10 from 8am to 9am.
The route covers a distance of 120km before returning to Rapha Berlin in time to watch the race proper unfold.
In order to navigate the course, a GPX file of the route will be provided to riders as well as complimentary sustenance at a feed station midway around the route.
Start and Meeting point: Mommsenstadion car park
Finish: Rapha Clubhouse Berlin
Can I download a GPX of the route?
Yes, this year we will be sending participants a .gpx file a few days before the ride. We recommend uploading the .gpx file to your bike computer.
Will there be a feed stop?
Yes, there will be a feed stop at halfway on the course. All participants will be given a beer and frites on arrival at the Clubhouse too
Is the ride supported?
There will be ride food provided at the start and the feed station, but the ride itself is not supported and we recommend taking at least two inner tubes, some food and plenty of water. We also recommend riding wide tyres, at least 25-27mm and with robust puncture protection.
Can I leave my luggage with you?
Yes, we will organize a free shuttle for your luggage from the start at Mommsenstadion to the finish at Rapha Berlin in Mitte.
Can I park near Mommsenstadion and Rapha Berlin?
There is ample parking at Mommsenstadion where we start A day in Hell. As the ride finishes at Rapha Berlin in Mitte, we recommend using public transport to get back to Mommsenstation (S Messe Süd) in case you parked there.
