    Description

    The Cotton Summer Shorts are designed for commutes or casual rides in the sunshine, made with a lightweight 170gsm cotton fabric that keeps your legs cooler in warm to hot weather. Rapha City products are all designed to be worn both on and off the bike, and the clean style of these shorts dovetails with its technical features: the zipped side pockets have a new zip garage to stop things falling out; the fabric offers a slight stretch to move comfortably with pedalling legs; and hi-vis pink piping runs up the seam of each leg. Simply fold up your hem while riding to keep you more visible on the roads. Other features include two rear pockets (one zip and one button), a smart fold-over waistband, and bonded belt loops which help stop your belt sticking out or digging in as you pedal.

    Run the tape around the narrowest part of your waist holding the tape horizontally.

    Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest point of the hip, keeping the tape measure horizontal.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent design, perfect execution I am VERY picky about my shorts, and for years have been unable to find something suitable to replace my almost completely work out shorts. I ordered these on a whim, not really expecting much. I was blown away. They are a perfect khaki color that looks great in any summer situation. The length is perfect, falling just above the knee. An added bonus that I didn't even notice in the description is the zippered side pockets to keep your keys and phone from hitting the sidewalk while riding. And of course, there's the unique Rapha stylings on the back pocket. I love these shorts, and made sure to buy a second pair.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfy!... I've only worn and washed it once so we'll see how long it lasts... details and stitching look good and sound. This is my first Rapha casual wear purchase (previous items are Brevet, ProTeam and Core jersey/bib) and so far have held up excellent! My only disappointment is with a Classic Gloves, in which the inner liner is ripping away from the padding nearest the wrist. I've reached out to a Rapha associate over the phone and have been instructed to take it to the Rapha Store in LA for an exchange/credit. Will do so as soon as I am able. Other than that, I like Rapha understated styling - it doesn't scream attention.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Embarresingly low quality Bought these shorts one month ago. The fit was great but they immedeately discoloured. After one month they’ve lost almost all shades of blue. I’ve asked for money back or a new pair of shorts but so far absolutely no response from Rapha. Very disappointing and unexpected.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable Commute Shorts Two weeks of use and I'm still digging its overall looks and features. The material is stretchy and really comfortable. The zipped pockets are really functional. The shorts complements well with casual clothes when off-bike. My only main concern is the seat/bottom part as two weeks of alternating daily commute usage (with another shorts) it's immediately showing pilling being in contact with the saddle (Rapha Classic saddle that I've also purchased at the time). I really hope it doesn't wear out too quickly.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from As you would hope for. Not the same fabric as the Chinos. Ordered 30" waist and true to size. I'm about 31" inside leg and these are on the knee if held on waist. Initially thought the fork was a little uncomfortable but on wearing them I could forget I had them on.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit and functional Have had Rapha shorts previously, these are a definite improvement in that they have normal pockets rather than just one at the back. Zips keep everything nice and neat and safe. Fit is good, perhaps slightly too long in leg for me, but rest of fit is great (I wear a small and am 60kg and 5'10".

    Hi, i have the cotton trousers in 30 and to start they fit perfectly, but with wear they stretched so i always need a belt. I have bought these shorts in 30 and they are much tighter than the trousers. will they stretch over time?

    Hi, different models will fit slightly different. There is not much give in cotton so if you feel they are too tight now we suggest to exchange for a larger size. Here at Rapha we have a quite lengthy 90 days return period for items being returned new/unused with tags and in saleable condition.

    I'm italian and I'd like to buy cotton summer short but I can't understand your sizes chart. My italian size is 52, my hips are 108 cm (XL), so what size I need: 28, 30, 32, 34 or 36?

    Hi, if you click on the Size Guide, it will guide you down the page towards more information regarding the sizing for these shorts. It seem you are between a 32 or 34, you may need to try both for best suitable size. Should you need to exchange or refund, we have a 90 days return period for new/unused garments with tags and in saleable condition.

    I was interested in the drop/length of the shorts. But you already referred two people to the sizing chart, which doesn’t have that detail, so I guess there’s little point.

    Hi, in a size 32 the drop is 30.5cm for the inside leg and 54.5cm for the outside leg. Thanks.

    I do not see the inseam length of your shorts anywhere.  in another post you refer to the size info, but that does not indicate inseam length for shorts

    How long are these shorts, inseam and waistband to hem please. Is the waist size reflective of previous city shorts?

    Hi, the sizing is as per on our size guidance measurements and should you need to exchange or refund, we have a 90 days return period for new/unused garments with tags and in saleable condition. The fit is similar to our previous cotton shorts.
