RCC SUMMIT MALLORCA

2019

When it comes to famed cycling destinations, there are few more fabled than the Balearic island of Mallorca. With miles of beautiful coastline and a raft of super smooth, sinuous roads working their way inland, the island is a cyclist’s paradise, as attendees on our 2019 Summit found. Not wanting to miss a good time, celebrated Legion of Los Angeles sprinter Justin Williams couldn’t resist flying over from LA to get stuck in.

RCC SUMMIT WULING, TAIWAN

2018

Well known as the global centre of bike manufacturing, Taiwan’s amazing roads ought to be every bit as famous. As RCC members from around the world arrived in 2018, the winding roads of Yushan National Park remained an unknown riding destination. Just as well as those who attended were able to tick off the region’s towering climbs – made famous by the Taiwan KOM Challenge – in complete peace, all while wearing their forest-green Summit jerseys.

RCC SUMMIT SIERRA NEVADA

2018

Members from chapters around the world gathered in their red jerseys in Spain’s southernmost province for a memorable weekend of riding. From palms and pines to snow-lined climbs, Sierra Nevada is the favoured training ground of many professional riders but remains relatively undiscovered by other cyclists. Highlights included a day trip to the glorious fortress of Alhambra and a trying ride up to Pico del Veleta, home to Europe’s highest paved road.

RCC SUMMIT CÔTE D'AZUR

2017

Our first French Summit was held near Nice, home to many of Team Sky’s pros, some of whom couldn’t resist joining in on the action. They accompanied RCC members on the road in May and all had the privilege of tucking into a pro team-inspired dinner courtesy of nutritionist Henrik Orre. A limited-edition blue jersey was created to fit in with the azure coastline and the bright blue skies of this cycling mecca.

RCC SUMMIT BOULDER

2017

Boulder, Colorado boasts a number of the continent’s most revered riding routes. The flat landscape of the Great Plains suddenly erupts into the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains, meaning a lot of gravel and unsealed dirt roads. In the Autumn of 2017, a flock of RCC riders from far and wide arrived, immersing themselves in the local cycling culture. Riders toured breweries, climbed to head-spinning altitudes and even toured the factory of local, family-operated bike manufacturers Moots.

RCC SUMMIT SONOMA, CALIFORNIA

2016

Sonoma County is Californian wine country and as such possess two key elements that are favoured by cyclists: plenty of sun and rolling hills. In late October, ninety members of the RCC set out to explore the hills on our first stateside Summit, taking in breathtaking views off the Pacific coastline on rides along the iconic Highway 1.

RCC SUMMIT TUSCANY

2016

The very first RCC Summit brought together over sixty RCC members from ten Chapters around the world in the foothills of the Apennines. They were joined on the road by special guests including then Team Sky rider Elia Viviani, former pro and winner of the 1988 Giro Andy Hampsten, and Mark Cavendish’s coach Jon Baker.
